Study on Accelerated Life Testing of Swing Reduction Gear Box for Hybrid Excavator (하이브리드 굴삭기용 선회감속기의 가속수명시험에 관한 연구)

  • The swing motion drive unit of a hybrid excavator is composed of an electrical motor instead of a hydraulic motor that is used in hydraulic excavators. The method to assess and guarantee the reliability of a hybrid excavator should consider combining the mechanical and the electrical failure mode effects. In particular, the swing reduction gear set of a hybrid excavator is operated under severe outdoor conditions; therefore, an accelerated life test, which is based on field operating condition, should be conducted for the newly developed reduction gear set. In this study, various qualitative methods for reliability engineering, such as FMMA, FMECA, FTA, and QFD, were used to develop the accelerated life test method for the swing drive reduction gear set for the hybrid excavator.

  • Aircraft have a cross axis of the three each other for maintenance of aircraft position. It is called roll axis, pitch axis and yaw axis. Attitude reference system is a sensor for detecting a change of the three axis. In this paper, mobile robot platform install part of Pan-tilt and HMD attitude reference system, because of we use control camera. The acceleration sensor is very weak a lot of noise to vibration, also problem with data from process of mapping to the data problems to arise. However to solve this problem, we removed the average filter and Cosine Interpolation for Pan-tilt. Using capacity evaluation for outdoor environment for we are proposing. Mobile robot has HMD and equipped Pan-tilt. We control mobile robot camera. In this experiment result is little bit delay happening, however Pan-tilt camera is relatively stable control checking. Also, we will checking any terrain and slopes is no problem for mobile robot driving skills.

  • Virtual reality exposure therapy (VRET) has been used for a several decades. However, we are not aware any studies that used a smart-phone based virtual reality techniques. In this study, we suggested a new smart-phone based VRET that included photorealistic techniques. We also evaluated the current system with 32 healthy participants, and results suggested that the current system evoked different emotional valences in indoor/outdoor and familiar/unfamiliar environments. The meaning of current results and potential applications of VRET were discussed.

  • In this paper, The existing interference alignment algorithms were analyzed in Rayleigh fading channel environment. The interference alignment techniques are divided to two parts. First thing is Iterative-method, another is Linear-method. Iterative method needs local channel info, but it has the constraint of iteration. On the other hand Linear-method must have global channel info, but has free of iteration and better performance. This paper evaluates the performance of interference alignment algorithms in Rayleigh fading channel of outdoor environment and WLAN channel based on IEEE 802.11n of indoor environment.

  • This paper presents the pose estimation of a small UAV utilizing visual information from low cost cameras installed indoor. To overcome the limitation of the outside flight experiment, the indoor flight test environment based on multi-camera systems is proposed. Computer vision algorithms for the proposed system include camera calibration, color marker detection, and pose estimation. The well-known extended Kalman filter is used to obtain an accurate position and pose estimation for the small UAV. This paper finishes with several experiment results illustrating the performance and properties of the proposed vision-based indoor flight test environment.

  • The purpose of the cultivated crops have been changes in the aim of improving quality production. In recent years, as people's attention on health, the demand for healthy crops such as mushrooms gradually increased. Farmers use plastic greenhouse cultivation mode more and more in order to reduce the impact of outdoor environment on crop cultivation, which requires farmers to adjust the greenhouse temperature at any time. But the majority of farmers still use a thermometer to measure temperature. This paper constructs an environment that can automatically adjust the temperature, so as to measuring temperature in real time, improving the efficiency of the farm work, and reducing unnecessary labor.

  • 창문은 건물의 필수 구조물이지만 창문을 통해서 미세먼지, 빗물 등이 들어올 수 있어 창문을 열고 나가지 못하고 불안해하는 경우가 많다. 최근 들어 미세먼지가 급증하면서 사람들의 불안감이 더욱 증가하고 있으며, 보안에 취약한 창문들이 범죄에 취약하기 때문에 불안해 할 수 있다. 또한, 실내에서도 가스누출 등으로 인해 인명피해까지 이어지는 심각한 상황을 초래할 수 있기 때문이다. 이러한 사람들의 불안감을 없애기 위하여 아두이노를 이용하여 실외의 미세먼지와 빗물, 인체감지등을 통해 원격으로 창문을 제어하고 실내의 온도와 습도량, 가스량의 표시를 어플리케이션을 통해 확인할 수 있으며 원격으로 제어 또한 가능하도록 '실내외 환경맞춤 스마트 윈도우'를 개발하게 되었다.

Authoring Software Development of 3D Natural Environment for Realistic Contents (실감형 콘텐츠 제작을 위한 3D 자연환경 저작 소프트웨어 개발)

  • Nowadays, many graphic researchers are interested in 3D outdoor environment. They want to express more realistic natural background with natural phenomenon because computer hardware has become more powerful and increased a demand for a background of 3D natural environment in a content. Especially, e-sports contents and simulation contents with outdoor environment need more natural environment for a background than indoor contents. It is very important technology for a quality of 3D outdoor contents. We propose a software EMtool(Environment Making Tool) for authoring of natural environment for realistic contents. EMtool has been developed to depict relationship and interaction between natural phenomena and include methods for creating natural environment and natural objects. The proposed results are applied to real-time 3D contents such as 3D golf games and simulations for natural objects.

Guidance on Estimating Soil Persistence and Degradation Kinetics from Environmental Fate Studies on Veterinary Pharmaceuticals for Environmental Risk Assessment (동물용의약품의 환경 중 위해성 평가를 위한 토양 잔류성 시험법 가이드라인)

  • BACKGROUND: To assess and prevent the environmental impacts and risks by veterinary pharmaceuticals, Guidance on Estimating Soil Persistence and Degradation Kinetics from Environmental Fate Studies on Veterinary Pharmaceuticals for Environmental Risk Assessment was proposed. METHODS AND RESULTS: Proposed guidance was coined by VICH, EU guideline, OECD guideline and soil dissipation studies for the purpose of international harmonizing. Guidance was also modified from pesticide soil persistence testing guidelines of US, EU, and Korea, with practical approaches adopting in-use test guideline for Korea. CONCLUSION(S): Proposed guidance are consisted of three parts; Laboratory Soil Experiment, Field Soil Dissipation Study, and Estimation of $DT_{50}/DT_{90}$. Proposed guidance is to be available for the requirement for registration of veterinary pharmaceuticals with fit for purpose in Korea.

Measurement of 18GHz Radio Propagation Characteristics in Subway Tunnel for Train-Wayside Multimedia Transmission (지하철 터널에서의 18GHz 무선영상신호 전파특성 측정)

  • This paper presents an experimental study on the radio propagation characteristics in subway tunnel at 18GHz frequency band which has been assigned to video transmission between train and wayside. The radio propagation tests are carried out in the subway tunnel of Seoul Metro using the antenna and communication devices of the prototype video transmission system. The measurement results show that 18GHz radio propagation in subway tunnel has smaller path loss than that of general outdoor radio environment. It is also cleared that the arch-type tunnels have smaller radio propagation losses than rectangular tunnels, and single track tunnels have smaller pass loss than double track tunnels. From the measurements, the radio propagation coverage is worked out as 520 meters. The curved tunnels which cannot have LOS communication between transmitter and receiver have large pass losses and fluctuation profile along distance. The radio propagation coverage along curved tunnels is worked out as 300 meters. These investigation results can be used to design the 18GHz radio transmission system for subway tunnel by providing the optimized wayside transmitter locations and handover algorithm customized to the radio propagation characteristics in subway tunnels.
