  • 안전 거리 미확보는 교통 사고 원인 중 3위에 이르는 큰 위험 요소이다. 이러한 차간거리 미확보로 인한 사고는 조금만 빨리 대응하여도 사전에 방지할 수 있다. 따라서 주행 중 실시간으로 차간 거리를 추정하여 제공하는 시스템이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 기반의 실시간 촬영 영상에서 차량의 에지와 후미등을 이용하여 차량을 검출하고, 검출된 차량의 폭을 이용하여 차간 거리를 추정하여 제공하는 시스템을 제안하고, 구현 결과를 제시한다.

  • 본 논문은 노화로 인하여 감소하는 전기자동차용 배터리의 전류 용량을 실시간으로 추정하는 SOH (State-of-health) 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 노화에 따른 OCV (Open circuit voltage) 곡선의 변화 경향을 분석하고, 저주파 통과 필터를 이용하여 추정된 OCV를 기반으로 전류 용량 및 SOH를 산출한다. 알고리즘을 검증하기 위하여 전기자동차용 배터리를 이용한 실험 및 시뮬레이션을 진행한다.

Fast Content-preserving Seam Estimation for Real-time High-resolution Video Stitching (실시간 고해상도 동영상 스티칭을 위한 고속 콘텐츠 보존 시접선 추정 방법)

  • We present a novel content-preserving seam estimation algorithm for real-time high-resolution video stitching. Seam estimation is one of the fundamental steps in image/video stitching. It is to minimize visual artifacts in the transition areas between images. Typical seam estimation algorithms are based on optimization methods that demand intensive computations and large memory. The algorithms, however, often fail to avoid objects and results in cropped or duplicated objects. They also lack temporal consistency and induce flickering between frames. Hence, we propose an efficient and temporarily-consistent seam estimation algorithm that utilizes a straight line. The proposed method also uses convolutional neural network-based instance segmentation to locate seam at out-of-objects. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method produces visually plausible stitched videos with minimal visual artifacts in real-time.

  • Vehicle rollover is a serious kind of accident, particularly for sport utility vehicles, and its occurrence can be minimized by utilizing active rollover prevention systems. The performance of these protection systems is very sensitive to vehicle inertial parameters such as the vehicle's mass and center of mass. These parameters vary with the number of passengers and in different load situations. In this paper, a unified method for vehicle mass estimation is proposed that takes into account the available driving conditions. Three estimation algorithms are developed based on longitudinal, lateral, and vertical vehicle motion, respectively. Then, the three algorithms are combined to extract information on the vehicle's mass during arbitrary vehicle maneuvering. The performance of the proposed vehicle mass estimation method is demonstrated through real-time experiments.

  • To achieve an advanced control of automobiles, it is necessary to acquire the values of the parameters of a vehicle in real time to conduct precise vehicle control practices such as automatic platooning control. Vehicle control is especially required in controlling trucks, as the mass and inertia change widely according to the loading conditions. Thereafter, we propose to estimate the yaw moment of inertia of the truck in real-time during travelling, by applying the dual Kalman filter algorithm, which estimates the state variables and values of the parameters simultaneously in real-time. The simulation results show that the proposed method is effective for the estimation, which uses commercial software for simulating and analyzing the vehicle dynamics.

  • In recent years, autonomous driving technologies have become a high-value-added technology that attracts attention in the fields of science and industry. For smooth Self-driving, it is necessary to accurately detect an object and estimate its movement speed in real time. CNN-based deep learning algorithms and conventional dense optical flows have a large consumption time, making it difficult to detect objects and estimate its movement speed in real time. In this paper, using a single camera image, fast object detection was performed using the YOLOv5 algorithm, a deep learning algorithm, and fast estimation of the speed of the object was performed by using a local dense optical flow modified from the existing dense optical flow based on the detected object. Based on this algorithm, we present a system that can predict the collision time and probability, and through this system, we intend to contribute to prevent tram accidents.

  • 4차산업 기술이 상수도 관망 분야에도 활발히 도입되며 스마트워터 구축에 기술적인 기반이 마련되고 있다. 이중 디지털트윈의 경우 컴퓨터에 현실 속 사물의 쌍둥이를 만들고, 현실에서 발생할 수 있는 상황을 컴퓨터로 시뮬레이션함으로써 결과를 미리 예측하는 기술로 정의된다. 즉, 디지털트윈의 핵심기술은 시각화와 시뮬레이션 모형의 연계로 실시간 상황 표출뿐만 아니라 시뮬레이션 모형 입력값의 미래 변화를 추정하여 해당 사물의 상태를 예측하는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 상수도 관망의 경우도 디지털트윈 모형 구축 시 정교한 시뮬레이션 모형과 연계를 통해 관측 데이터의 표출과 함께 미관측 지점의 데이터를 추정 및 표출하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 디지털트윈 모형 구축에 가장 필수적이라고 할 수 있는 상수도 관망의 해석 프로그램 매개변수 검보정 모형을 소개한다. 대표적인 상수도 관망해석 프로그램인 EPANET2.2의경우 입력값으로 주로 수요량과 관로의 조도계수를 요구하며, 본 연구에서는 수요량은 알고 있는 것으로 가정하고 관로의 조도계수만 Markov-Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC)를 사용하여 검보정한다. 해당 모형은 (1) 실시간 조도계수 추정이 가능하면, (2) 동시에 누수 탐지가 가능하고, (3) 관로의 기능적 노후를 정의하여 향후 디지털트윈 모형 구현 시 관로 노후를 표출할 수 있는 기반을 구축한다. 우선 실시간 조도계수 추정은 데이터베이스와 연동하여 진행하며, MCMC 모형을 활용한 관로 별 조도계수의 분포에 따라 정상범위 내 변동이 발생하는지 여부를 판단한다. 이때 정상범위를 벗어난 변동이 발생하는 경우 잠재적 누수가 존재하는 것으로 가정하며, 콜모고로프-스미르노프(KS) 테스트를 통해 이를 판단한다. 기능적 노후는 관로의 통수능과 연관이 있으며, 추정한 조도계수에 따른 관로의 통수능을 산정하여 결과를 표출한다. 본 연구에서 제안한 모형은 향후 상수도 관망 디지털트윈 구현에 핵심 요소기술로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Accuracy Improvement of the Estimated Angle Using Phase Averaging in Phase-Comparison Monopulse Algorithm (위상 비교 모노 펄스 알고리즘에서 위상평균법을 이용한 추정 각도 정확도 향상)

  • This study describes the accuracy improvement of the estimated angle using phase averaging in phase-comparison monopulse algorithm. In addition, to compensate the time-delay due to the phase averaging, we propose the time-delay compensation algorithm which uses the derivative of the estimated angle. These derivative is calculated by the curve fitting method. Using the real radar interferometer, we have verified that the phase averaging and time-delay compensation algorithms are effective in real-time signal processing application.

  • This paper deals with an implementation of the navigation parameter extraction technique using the TMS320C80 multimedia video processor (MVP). Especially, this Paper focuses on the relative position estimation algorithm which plays an important role in real-time operation of the overall system. Based on the relative position estimation algorithm using the images obtained at two locations, we develop a fast algorithm that can reduce large amount of computation time and fit into fixed-point processors. Then, the algorithm is reconfigured for parallel processing using the 4 parallel processors in the MVP. As a result, we shall demonstrate that the navigation parameter extraction system employing the MVP can operate at full-frame rate, satisfying real-time requirement of the overall system.

VoIP Quality Metric and Quality-based Accounting Scheme (VoIP 품질 측량 도구 및 품질 기반의 요금 부과 방안 연구)

  • As VoIP systems move to wireless environments with much higher average packet loss rates than wired networks, it becomes less possible for the network to assure a reasonable QoS. So, real-time quality monitoring for mobile VoIP applications is an important issue to be explored. In this paper, we explore perceptual quality dependency on two parameters: the burst loss rate and average burst length. Also, we propose a simple 'moving average' approach with $\alpha$ aiming to measure those parameters on real-time basis. In order to find how accurately the two parameters measured estimate the real perceptual quality, we compare actual measured PESQ scores with estimated value by matching the measured quality metric to the trained MOS table. Finally, we propose the quality-based accounting system, which can set obvious continuities between quality and billing.
