This work proposes a 12b 130MS/s 108mW $1.8mm^2$ 0.18um CMOS ADC for high-quality video systems such as TFT-LCD displays and digital TVs requiring simultaneously high resolution, low power, and small size at high speed. The proposed ADC optimizes power consumption and chip area at the target resolution and sampling rate based on a three-step pipeline architecture. The input SHA with gate-bootstrapped sampling switches and a properly controlled trans-conductance ratio of two amplifier stages achieves a high gain and phase margin for 12b input accuracy at the Nyquist frequency. A signal-insensitive 3D-fully symmetric layout reduces a capacitor and device mismatch of two MDACs. The proposed supply- and temperature- insensitive current and voltage references are implemented on chip with a small number of transistors. The prototype ADC in a 0.18um 1P6M CMOS technology demonstrates a measured DNL and INL within 0.69LSB and 2.12LSB, respectively. The ADC shows a maximum SNDR of 53dB and 51dB and a maximum SFDR of 68dB and 66dB at 120MS/s and 130MS/s, respectively. The ADC with an active die area of $1.8mm^2$ consumes 108mW at 130MS/s and 1.8V.
This paper introduces the design or parallel Pipeline high-speed analog-to-digital converter(ADC) for the high-resolution video applications which require very precise sampling. The overall architecture of the ADC consists of 4-channel parallel time-interleaved 10-bit pipeline ADC structure a]lowing 200MSample/s sampling speed which corresponds to 4-times improvement in sampling speed per channel. Key building blocks are composed of the front-end sample-and-hold amplifier(SHA), the dynamic comparator and the 2-stage full differential operational amplifier. The 1-bit DAC, comparator and gain-2 amplifier are used internally in each stage and they were integrated into single switched capacitor architecture allowing high speed operation as well as low power consumption. In this work, the gain of operational amplifier was enhanced significantly using negative resistance element. In the ADC, a delay line Is designed for each stage using D-flip flops to align the bit signals and minimize the timing error in the conversion. The converter has the power dissipation of 280㎽ at 3.3V power supply. Measured performance includes DNL and INL of +0.7/-0.6LSB, +0.9/-0.3LSB.

Magnetic nondestructive testing is very useful far detecting a crack on the surface or near of the surface of the ferromagnetic materials. The distribution of the magnetic flux leakage (DMFL) on a specimen has to be obtained quantitatively to evaluate the crack. The magnetic camera is proposed to obtain the DMFL at the large lift-off. The magnetic camera consists of a magnetic source, magnetic lens, analog to digital converters (ADCs), interface, and computer. The magnetic leakage fields or the distorted magnetic fields from the object, which are concentrated on the magnetic lens, are converted to analog electrical signals tv arrayed small magnetic sensors. These analog signals are converted to digital signals by the ADCs, and are stored, imaged, and processed by the interface and computer. However the magnetic camera has limitations with respect to converting and switching speed, full range and resolution, direct memory access (DMA), temporary storage speed and volume because common ADCs were used. Improved techniques, such as those that introduce the operational amplifier (OP-Amp), amplify the signal, reduce the connection line, and use the low pass filter (LPF) to increase the signal to noise ratio are necessary. This paper proposes the exclusive embedded ADC including OP-Amp, LPF, microprocessor and DMA circuit for the magnetic camera to satisfy the conditions mentioned above.

To measure the fatigue of metallic objects at high speed vibration while non-contact precision displacement measurement on how to have a lot of research conducted. Noncontact high-speed vibration detection sensor of the eddy current sensors and laser sensors are used, but it is very expensive. Recently, High-speed vibrations detection using an inexpensive inductive sensor to have been studied, but is still a beginner. In this paper, a new design of an inexpensive inductive proximity sensor has been suggested in order to measure high frequency dynamic displacements of metallic specimens in a noncontact manner. Detection of the existing inductive sensors, detection, integral, and amplified through a process to detect the displacement noise due to weak nature of analog circuits and integral factor in the process of displacement detection is slow. The proposed method could be less affected by noise, the analog receive and high-speed signal processing is a new way, because AD converter (Analog to Digital converter) without using the vibration frequency signals directly into digital signals are converted. In order to evaluate the sensing performance, The proposed sensor module using non-contact vibration signals were detected while shaker vibration frequencies from 30Hz to 1,100 Hz at intervals of vibrating metallic specimens. Experimental results, Vibration frequency detection range of the metallic specimins within close proximity to contactless 5mm could be measured from DC to 1,100Hz and vibration amplitude of the resolution was $20{\mu}m$. Therefore, the proposed non-contact inductive sensor module for precision vibration detection sensor is estimated to have sufficient performance.

Current sensors are used widely in the fields of current control, monitoring, and measuring. They have become more popular with the increasing demand for smart grids in a power network, generation of renewable energy, electric cars, and hybrid cars. Although open loop Hall effect current sensors have merits, such as low cost, small size, and weight, they have low accuracy. This paper describes the design and fabrication of a 300A open loop current sensor that has high accuracy and temperature performance. The core of the current sensor was calculated numerically and the signal conditioning circuits were designed using circuit analysis software. The characteristics of the manufactured open loop current sensor of 300 A class was measured at currents up to 300 A. According to the test of the current sensor, the accuracy error and linearity error were 0.75% and 0.19%, respectively. When the temperature compensation was carried out with the relevant circuit, the temperature coefficients were less than $0.012%/^{\circ}C$ at temperatures between $-25^{\circ}C$ and $85^{\circ}C$.

This paper presents the &tal controller for driving high frequency voltage fed PWM inverter that carrier frequency is over 2OkHz.We analyzed the conventional PWM to select a proper PWM pattern. as the result, obtained PWM pattern of the controller in which asynchronus staircase sinusoidal waveform is used as reference signal, and variable carrier ratio method was used for PWM control. The PWM controller is designed by fully digital method. Especially, Thk proposed controller is consisted of 8 bit one-chip microprocessor and digital logic. the former is for arithmetic and data processing, and the latter is for PWM pattern synthesis. Therefore, The responsibility and controllability is improved. Also, Data processing capability is improved using proper program to output modulation index with 9 bits. Circuits configuration of digital controller are made up of one chip 8051 and EPLD, and its controllability is tested by operating voltage fed inverter. Harmonics and current waveform is evaluated and analyzed for the voltage fed inverter system.
This study discusses the development of a u-Health care system that can detect quickly and cope actively with emergent situations of chronic disease patients who lead everyday life. If a patient's emergent situation is detected by personal health care host(PHCH), which is composed of acceleration and vibration sensors, GPS, and CDMA communication module, a text message on the patient's current location is transmitted to the hospital and the guardian's mobile terminal so that they can cope with the situation immediately. Especially, the system analyzes data from sensors by using neural network and determines emergent situations such as syncope and convulsion promptly. The exact location of patients can also be found in the electronic map by using GPS information. The experiments show that this system is very effective to find emergencies promptly for chronic disease patients who cannot take care of themselves and it is expected to save many lives.

Finite field multipliers are the basic building blocks in many applications such as error-control coding, cryptography and digital signal processing. Hence, the design of efficient dedicated finite field multiplier architectures can lead to dramatic improvement on the overall system performance. In this paper, a new bit serial structure for a multiplier with low latency in Galois field is presented. To speed up multiplication processing, we divide the product polynomial into several parts and then process them in parallel. The proposed multiplier operates standard basis of $GF(2^m)$ and is faster than bit serial ones but with lower area complexity than bit parallel ones. The most significant feature of the proposed architecture is that a trade-off between hardware complexity and delay time can be achieved.
A cellular array parallel multiplier with parallel-inputs and parallel-outputs for performing the multiplication of two polynomials in the finite fields GF$(2^m)$ is presented in this paper. The presented cellular way parallel multiplier consists of three operation parts: the multiplicative operation part (MULOP), the irreducible polynomial operation part (IPOP), and the modular operation part (MODOP). The MULOP and the MODOP are composed if the basic cells which are designed with AND Bates and XOR Bates. The IPOP is constructed by XOR gates and D flip-flops. This multiplier is simulated by clock period l${\mu}\textrm{s}$ using PSpice. The proposed multiplier is designed by 24 AND gates, 32 XOR gates and 4 D flip-flops when degree m is 4. In case of using AOP irreducible polynomial, this multiplier requires 24 AND gates and XOR fates respectively. and not use D flip-flop. The operating time of MULOP in the presented multiplier requires one unit time(clock time), and the operating time of MODOP using IPOP requires m unit times(clock times). Therefore total operating time is m+1 unit times(clock times). The cellular array parallel multiplier is simple and regular for the wire routing and have the properties of concurrency and modularity. Also, it is expansible for the multiplication of two polynomials in the finite fields with very large m.
Recently, the bio-healthcare market is enlarging worldwide due to various reasons such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Among them, biometric measurement and analysis technology are expected to bring about future technological innovation and socio-economic ripple effect. Existing systems require a large-capacity battery to drive signal processing, wireless transmission part, and an operating system in the process. However, due to the limitation of the battery capacity, it causes a spatio-temporal limitation on the use of the device. This limitation can act as a cause for the disconnection of data required for the user's health care monitoring, so it is one of the major obstacles of the health care device. In this study, we report the concept of a standalone healthcare monitoring module, which is based on both triboelectric effects and electromagnetic effects, by converting biomechanical energy into suitable electric energy. The proposed system can be operated independently without an external power source. In particular, the wireless foot pressure measurement monitoring system, which is rationally designed triboelectric sensor (TES), can recognize the user's walking habits through foot pressure measurement. By applying the triboelectric effects to the contact-separation behavior that occurs during walking, an effective foot pressure sensor was made, the performance of the sensor was verified through an electrical output signal according to the pressure, and its dynamic behavior is measured through a signal processing circuit using a capacitor. In addition, the biomechanical energy dissipated during walking is harvested as electrical energy by using the electromagnetic induction effect to be used as a power source for wireless transmission and signal processing. Therefore, the proposed system has a great potential to reduce the inconvenience of charging caused by limited battery capacity and to overcome the problem of data disconnection.
