Proposal of an Equation for the Evaluation of Discomfort of a Seated Human Body Due to the Differential Vertical Vibration at the Seat and the Floor (시트와 바닥 진동의 위상차가 안락성에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위한 수식의 제안)

  • A modified equation for the evaluation of discomfort of a seated human body exposed to differential vibration at the seat and the floor was proposed in this paper. Through the review and analysis of the preceding studies, effect of phase difference between the seat and the floor vibration on discomfort were quantitatively identified. The phase effect was shown to be governed by not only phase difference between the two vibrations but both their frequency and the magnitude, which means the present equation for the evaluation of perceptual amount of vibration provided by ISO 2631-1 should be modified. The proposed equation was developed such that the correction function was multiplied to the present equation. The correction function consisted of three parts, each of them represented the effect by phase difference, frequency and vibration magnitude on discomfort respectively.

  • Maple은 수학적 표현에 가까운 프로그래밍 언어로, 함수, 표현열(sequence), 집합, 리스트, 배열, 테이블, 등의 자료구조를 가지고 있다. 단순히 과학 계산과 관련된 수식처리뿐만 아니라 수식기호와 표현을 해석하여 그 문법과 의미를 파악할 수 있는 기능을 갖추고 있다. 본 연구에서는 Maple을 이용하여 그래프 이론 학습에 사용할 수 있는 white box형 워크시트를 개발하고, 개발된 워크시트를 웹에서 서비스 할 수 있도록 html로 변환하였다.

Theoretical Investigation for the Adsorption of Various Gases (COx, NOx, SOx) on the BN and AlN Sheets (N과 AlN 시트에 다양한 기체(COx, NOx, SOx)의 흡착에 관한 이론 연구)

  • The adsorption of various atmospheric harmful gases ($CO_x$, $NO_x$, $SO_x$) on graphene-like boron nitride(BN) and aluminum nitride(AlN) sheets was theoretically investigated using density functional theory (DFT) and MP2 methods. The structures were fully optimized at the $B3LYP/6-31G^{**}$ and $CAM-B3LYP/6-31G^{**}$ levels of theory and confirmed to be a local minimum by the calculation of the harmonic vibrational frequencies. The MP2 single-point binding energies were computed at the $CAM-B3LYP/6-31G^{**}$ optimized geometries. Also the zero-point vibrational energy (ZPVE) and 50%-basis set superposition error (BSSE) corrections were included. The adsorptions of gases on the BN sheet were predicted to be a physisorption process and the adsorptions of gases on the AlN sheet were predicted to be a physisorption process for $CO_x$ and $NO_x$ but to be a chemisorption process for $SO_x$.

FEA for RC Beams Partially Flexural Reinforced with CFRP Sheets (CFRP 시트로 부분 휨 보강된 철근콘크리트 보의 유한요소해석)

  • A CFRP sheet has been applied as a structural reinforcement in the field, and various studies are conducted to evaluate the effect of CFRP sheets on reinforced concrete. Although many experiments were performed from previous studies, there are still limitations to analyze structural behaviors with various parameters in experiments directly. This study shows the FEA on structural behaviors of RC beams reinforced with CFRP sheets using ABAQUS software. To simulate debonding failure of CFRP sheets which is a major failure mode of RC beam with CFRP sheets, a cohesive element was applied between the bottom surface of RC beam and CFRP sheets. Both quasi-static method and 2-D symmetric FE model technique were performed to solve nonlinear problems. Results obtained from the FE models show good agreements with experimental results. It was found that reinforcement level of CFRP sheets is closely related to structural behavior of reinforced concrete including maximum strength, initial stiffness and deflection at failure. Also, as over-reinforcement of CFRP sheets could give rise to the brittle failure of RCstructure using CFRP sheets, an appropriate measure should be required when installing CFRP sheets in the structure.

  • 최근 10 여년 동안 교육 현장의 각 부분에 여러 가지 종류의 테크놀로지가 도입되면서, 교육의 내용과 방법에 있어서 점진적인 변화가 나타나고 있다. 예를들어, 수학 과목에 있어서는 그래픽 계산기, 도형 및 기하 학습 프로그램, 스프레드 시트, 함수 그래픽 프로그램 등의 도입으로 교과 과정 전반에 걸친 변화가 일고 있는데, 처음에는 이들 테크놀로지가 단순히 기존의 수업에서 수많은 반복을 요하거나, 지필식 방식으로는 정확하게 나타내기 어려운 도형이나 그래프를 빠르고 정확하게 그려내주는 보조수단으로 사용되었지만, 시간이 지나면서 이들 테크놀로지에 대한 활용도가 높아지게 되고, 이들 테크놀로지에 대한 교사들의 활용능력이 증대됨에 다라서, 이러한 테크놀로지가 단순한 보조수단에 머무르지 않고 주지에 기술이나 개념을 설명하는 방법 자체를 변화시키고 있다. 예를들어, 함수 교육에 있어서 그래픽 프로그램이 사용될 때에도, 초기 단계에서는 이들 함수의 개념을 설명할 때에는 거의 집합론이나 대수학적인 방법을 이용하였고, 최종 단계로 이들 함수를 좌표계 위에 표현하기 위한 보조수단으로 잠깐씩 사용되는 경우가 대부분이었으나, 최근들어서는 함수 학습의 초기과정부터 곧바로 이들 그래프 프로그램을 적극적으로 도입하여 학습자로 하여금 다양한 그래프 조작을 하게 함으로써, 어려운 집합론이나 대수학적인 개념을 도입하지 않고서도 함수에 대한 개념을 시각적으로 직관적으로 파악하도록 하는 학습 방안들이 제시되고 있는 것이다. 본 고에서는 현행 중고등학교 함수 교육 과정에서 그래프에 대한 다양한 조작 기능을 제공함으로써 학습자로 하여금, 제시되는 함수에 대한 시각적이고 직관적인 이미지를 가질 수 있도록 하기 위해서 개발된 ‘그래프 마법사’라는 프로그램을 소개하고자 한다.

  • Recently, customers have been concerned about vehicle NVH depending on vehicle designing and manufacturing technologies development. In choosing vehicle, vehicle NVH is becoming the most important factor to customers. Especially, a seat is the final stage of vibration transfer path to passengers from all sources of vibration like engine, transmission and etc. And seat is the nearest component from driver's ear. For this reason, seat is the most important component that directly related to ride comfort for passengers. And driver can be influenced sensitively by BSR caused by seat. Thus, evaluating the vibration characteristics of vehicle seat and BSR caused by vehicle seat is necessary to reduce the seat BSR. The rattle noise occurred from seat has evaluated through sound source visualization and multi-dimensional spectral analysis - coherence function technique in this paper. Vibration characteristics of the seat has verified through modal test.

  • External bonding of carbon fiber reinforced plastic sheets has recently emerged as a popular method for strengthening reinforced concrete structures. The behavior of CFRP-strengthened RC structure is often controlled by the behavior of the interface between CFRP sheets and concrete. In this study, a review of models on bond strength, bond-slip, and interfacial stresses has been first carried out. Then a new bond-slip model is proposed. The proposed bond-slip model has bilinear ascending regions and exponential descending region derived from modifications mode on the conventional bilinear bond-slip model. The comparison of the results with those of existing experiment researches on bond-slip models indicate good agreements.

  • As one of the most famous spreadsheet programs that is widely applied to a variety of fields in business, MS Excel has also been used for educational purposes due to its feature of wide accessibility, enabling students to use the program through almost any kind of PC that now exists. The program is mainly used for numerical analysis and formulae applications in the fields of science and engineering. This paper shall provide the key to understanding the application of MS Excel to teaching Statics through the illustration of its essential functions for education. Also, the development process of the analysis program using macros and VBA(Visual Basic for Applications) is described for the deeper comprehension of advanced applications. Students were not only able to solve the Statics problems using basic features of MS Excel, but also discovered new systematic methods of approaching complex problems and developed application programs using macros and VBA.

  • This paper aims at reducing aliasing in pixel-based rendering for 3D implicit surfaces by shifted multi Z-buffers. The voxelized implicit surfaces with high resolution take so much time in generating high Quality image without aliasing. So in rendering a voxelized implicit surfaces, a new antialiasing method which can generate a high quality image at a lower resolution is required. Therefore, this paper suggests that a method which get various sampling values by shifting several z-buffers in each voxel and average them, The advantages are effective memory, simple calculation and easy convergence with various filters. But, the increase of number of z-buffer also increase the consuming time rapidly. Therefore, the research for representing the relation the degree of image quality with the consumption of time as a number is required.

  • This paper studies the vibration characteristics of a vehicle seat on several driving conditions. Modal test for a vehicle seat is conducted for the three different boundary conditions: on the rigid jig, BIW and the full vehicle. In driving on various road conditions and speeds, vibration level is measured at several locations including seat mounting and seat-back. The vibration pattern for each driving condition is found where the suspension mode and the 1st bending and torsion modes of the seat make the major contribution on it.
