Analysis of Built and Walking Environment for Coastal Ferry Terminal using IPA -Focusing on Yeosu Coastal Ferry Terminal- (IPA를 이용한 연안여객터미널의 시설 및 보행특성 분석 -여수연안여객터미널을 중심으로-)

  • A coastal ferries, which serve as a mode between mainland and offshore islands, are frequently used by islanders and travelers visiting islands. Therefore, it is located in a place with good accessibility to the downtown so that users can use it conveniently. However, research on the built environment and walking environment of coastal ferry terminals has not been conducted to ensure that elderly islanders and general travelers can use comfortably the coastal ferry terminal. In this study, with a focus on the coastal ferry terminal space, the walking section was set as 1)the accessibility of the coastal ferry terminal, 2)the built environment for using the coastal ferry terminal, and 3)walking environment in the ferry boarding and disembarkation at the coastal ferry terminal, and 4, 5)walking environment in the ferry. An evaluation tool was developed to measure the walking environment for each walking section, and the importance and satisfaction of users were analyzed using the IPA for the Yeosu Coastal Ferry Terminal. As a result, in the process of approaching the ferry terminal, 'convenience of using public transportation by foot' and 'convenience of using signposts guiding the location and direction of the ferry terminal' were investigated as concentrated areas. On the other hand, the built environment inside the ferry terminal and the walking environment showed that the satisfaction of the users was high. Regarding the walking environment from the ferry terminal to the ferry, the 'surface walking environment of the walking path', 'convenience of walking with luggage', 'convenience of walking in the slope section', and 'convenience of walking in the ferry ramp section' showed low satisfaction. This study can be used as basic data for improving the facilities and walking environment of Yeosu Coastal Ferry Terminal and is expected to be used as data for comparative research with other coastal ferry terminals.

Visitors' Evaluation of Trail in the Hanbat Arboretum: a case Importance-Satisfaction Analysis (한밭수목원 산책로에 대한 이용객 평가: 중요도-만족도 분석(ISA)을 중심으로)

  • A study surveyed to visitors' expectation and satisfaction about trail in the Hanbat Arboretum by using Importance-Satisfaction Analysis (ISA). As the results of the research, the mean of importance was 3.85 and the mean of satisfaction was 3.67 in West Garden. Also the mean of importance was 3.99 and the mean of satisfaction was 3.78 in East Garden. Also appeared the evaluation factors of questionnaire the mostly importance that were higher than satisfaction. West Garden appeared necessary for items of safety features, drain facilities and board for risk area. Also East Garden appeared necessary for items of easy move for the wheelchair and carriage and safety features of trail. The research result are expected to provide clear path towards more effective adminstration and management tactics. Also expects with the research result that will be the possibility of raising the qualitative satisfaction of the visitor.

  • 중국에서는 관광, 휴식, 체험교육의 목적으로 농촌지역의 놀이농원이 증가하고 있다. 특히 농촌지역 수변공간의 놀이공원에 대한 이용의 증가는 수변공간에 대한 경관 및 단지 설계가 중요한 요소로 작용하고 있다. 이 연구에서는 산동성 등주시의 수변놀이농원의 이용자 1194명을 대상으로 설문지와 관찰 등의 연구방법을 통하여 이용 행태와 요구를 분석하였다. 이용자들은 연령대에 따라 다른 이용행태 및 요구를 보이고 있다. 먼저 이용행태에서 20대 이하는 흥미와 동적인 놀이의 이용행태를 선호하며, 연령대가 증가함에 따라 덜 동적인 이용행태를 선호하였다. 또한 모든 이용자들은 새롭고, 흥미롭고, 편안한 이용시설에 대한 요구가 높았다. 경관요소에 대한 평가에서 20대와 41살 이상의 집단간에 유의미한 차이를 보이고 있으며, 20~40살 집단간에는 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 20대의 이용자들은 시설이용에서 안전성과 레크리에이션기능에 대한 요구가 높았고, 41살 이상의 이용자들은 휴식시설과 공간의 확대를 요구하였다. 또한 이용자들의 대부분이 휴식시설에 대한 요구에서 그늘, 편안함, 양적인 차원에서 시설확대 및 보완의 요구가 높았다. 따라서 농촌관광에서 여가공간의 이용하는데 있어서 방문객의 태도와 만족도에 관한 연구들은 인본주의에 바탕을 둔 편의시설의 확대와 질적 개선이 요구되고 있으며, 이러한 결과를 토대로 최근에 증가하고 있는 중국인의 한국관광 및 방문에 대비하여 중국인의 관광시설선호와 이용만족 증가를 위한 실증적인 자료수집과 대안모색이 필요하다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate and analyze the general perception on space and facility use of public libraries, including the individual weight and importance of libraries, frequency of use, accessibility(distance between home and library), and user satisfaction of spaces and facilities in Daegu Metropolitan City. In order to carry out this purpose, the researcher investigated the perception of 700 people live in Daegu Metropolitan City, analyzed the factors of user dissatisfaction by gender, age, and residence, and suggested some alternative improvements. Through correlation and regression analysis of library use and the relevant variables, the researcher suggested some of the major use factors.

  • The purpose of this study was to measure performance of university libraries, especially investigating the components of service quality and their relationship to the customer satisfaction. The result of the study was summarized as follows: First, the factors on satisfaction of library service revealed 12 factors such as access of information, quality of employees, suitable collections, issues related to civil petitions, equipments and facilities, timeliness, operating hours, use of information technology, library user education, reference service, public relation and individual service. Second, the factors of library service on customer satisfaction showed the following primary factors: suitable collections, issues related to civil petitions, access of information, equipments and facilities, timeliness, public relation, reference service, operating hours, and individual service. Third, the components of library service on customwe satisfaction showed the following primary components: availability, the number of books and journals, facilities of air conditioning, public relation, usefulness of retrieval system, waiting time for Internet use, operating hour, speed of repairs, receipt of civil petitions, use of non-book materials.

A study on hospice care awareness and user satisfaction with intensive care unit facilities -Centering on capital district- (호스피스 케어인식도와 시설이용 만족도에 관한 연구 -수도권 중심으로-)

  • This study aims to investigate hospice care awareness, user satisfaction with intensive care unit facilities and the difference in hospice care awareness level. A survey of 160 people including the intensive care patients in capital district areas and their family members was conducted from March $10^{th}$ until $July31^{st}$ of 2013. As an analytical method, the SPSSWIN18.0 program was used and the sample size followed Cohen's sample extracting formula of G*Power 3.1, an analytical program for test power. The mean, standard deviation and regression analysis have been statistically carried out. The results indicate that the care awareness of hospices have meaningful relations with age, religion and marital status. As for the satisfaction level with hospices, the facilities in the countryside are preferred to those in the cities, and the hospice rooms with Korean floor heating system is preferred to rooms with bed. The implication of this study is expected to become a basic reference to the improvement of the hospice system, seen from the result of survey with highly favorable response for care units in hospices.

  • This purpose of study was to Analysis on Location and Service Factors Affecting the Management and Use of Judo Gym. This study aims at providing fundamental data and information on Judo coach by studying what effects of location and use factor on trainee satisfaction. The survey was done through 350 copies and excluding 11 copies ran an analysis on the remaining 339(96.8%) copies. After question investigating the data which is collected used IBM SPSS statistics 21 program, frequency analysis, Exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, correlation analysis, multiple regression. The result of this study were as follows. First, management, location, coach, trainee value, facility, communication in Judo gym location and use factors showed (+) effects on trainee satisfaction. Second, Program operation, Gym quit use, Whether or not to insure in management factor showed (+) effects on trainee satisfaction. Third, Coach credibility in coach factor showed (+) effects on trainee satisfaction. Forth, Member communication in communication factor showed (+) effects on trainee satisfaction. Fifth, Wholesome leisure, Athletic ability improving in trainee value factor showed (+) effects on trainee satisfaction. Sixth, main facility level, additional facility level in facility factor showed (+) effects on trainee satisfaction. Seventh, Visibility in location factor showed (+) effects on trainee satisfaction. And location type(station area, residential district, commercial area) of Judo gym showed (+) effect on management, trainee value, location, communication, facility.

Influences of Public Library Service Quality on User Satisfaction and Loyalty (공공도서관의 서비스품질이 이용자만족도와 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigates the influences of the service qualify of public libraries, including printed publications, internet and electronic materials, culture programs and. service, library environment and facilities, and library staff, on the general satisfaction of the users, complaining intentions, and loyalty including reuse intentions. It develops a library user satisfaction model and testifies it through path analysis using questionnaires from 443 public library users in Daegu Metropolitan City area. This study shows that service qualities of printed publications, culture programs and service, library environment and facilities, and library staff Influence significantly on the general satisfaction of the users, and that service quality of library environment and facilities is the major variable which influences satisfaction and loyalty of the public library.

A Study of the Development Plan of an Academic Library through the User Satisfaction Analysis of Undergraduate Students (대학생들의 도서관 이용만족도 분석을 통한 대학도서관 발전방안에 관한 연구)

  • The user satisfaction of environmental facilities, collection, library services including webpage, etc. by using KSDC program provided by Korea Social Science Data Center has been analysed in this study. Also, the undergraduate students using P-academic library on December 2017 were sampled and analysed in this study. ANOVA etc. were used for testing wether gender, academic level and major of students affect the satisfaction, and Pearson correlation coefficient was used for testing the relation among the variables in the attached questionnaire. The major conclusions of this study are: (1) The policy development for the library use of male undergraduate students is needed. (2) The special counterplan to improve the user accessibility is needed. (3) Also, environmental facilities is absolutely needed when planning to improve user satisfaction. Besides, the development plan prepared after analysing the user opinions in essay form was suggested in this paper, too.

The Effects of College Students' Library Satisfaction on College Life Satisfaction (대학생의 도서관 이용 만족도가 대학 생활 만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to investigate the effects of college students' library satisfaction on college life satisfaction. In order to test this relationship, two surveys were conducted involving 360 college students at two universities in Seoul. The results of the first survey show that after controlling for the educational service satisfaction and facilities satisfaction, there is a significant influence of college students' library satisfaction on college life satisfaction. The second study added variables for the three components of library service quality (librarian service quality, library resources and service quality, and library facilities and environmental quality). The results of the second survey show that there is a significant influence of library service quality on college library satisfaction, and again a significant influence of college students' library satisfaction on college life satisfaction. Moreover, the results of two group analysis show that the influence of college library satisfaction on college life satisfaction is stronger in high usage group than low usage group. The theoretical and practical implications of this study are discussed.
