In a recognition of regional innovation system approach for a co-development effort of the Cheonan-Asan area, Chungnam, this research conducted a survey from the local leaders of these two cities. The results of the survey show that most local leaders strongly agree with the necessity of co-development efforts, that some suggest a merge of two cities, and that some suggest industrial development programs in the city border. The local leaders expect that public officials should play a major role in co-development of the two cities while local leaders are disappointed with the public officials activities. They also highly expect that civilian leaders (NGOs) and professors should play important roles in this matter. Upon these results, the research suggests to formulate a cooperative regional innovation system for the co-development of the two neighboring cities by three steps.

A valuation of air pollution is critical for relevant policy-making for the public and research direction. This study conducted a willingness-to-pay (WTP) survey using contingent valuation method (CVM) in Seoul Korea. In detail, this study puts an emphasis on its temporal changes referred on two surveys conducted in 2014 and 2019. In reference to the previous studies in 2002, our survey indicated that the public awareness of air pollution and interests on its sources and solutions increased noticeably. Our survey showed that WTP increased significantly from 2588 to 4827 and 8240 Korean Won $month^{-1}$ in 2002, 2014, and 2019, respectively. Moreover, the percentage of respondents to pay the WTP also increased from 48% to 68% and 79% in 2002, 2014, and 2019, respectively. Our analysis based on the number of Google search on particulate matters (PMs) strongly suggests that such the noticeable increases of the public attention to air pollution is well accorded with the moment of the announcement of a standard for ultra-fine particles and the start of PM prediction in late 2013. But the Google search rate grew about 16.7 times in 2009 compared to 2014, which is much larger than the growth rate of interest and WTP between 2014 and 2019. Our results shed light on policy decision for the right person in the right place on the right time in the era of air pollution.

This research aims at developing human resources who will serve as flexible mediators in the future national or cultural conflict situations. The primary learning contents approach the class by selecting the upcycling design activities, in which the students recognize the problem of waste that is for all and study representative characteristics and backgrounds of each culture. The classes were held centering around the student members of GunpoYMCA, and the culturally characteristic materials were made through upcycling design. The activities included making giraffes in Africa with plastic bottles, Mongolian tents with wooden posts, snow globes with sauce pots, patchworks and rugs with shirts and textiles, and garlands with banners, which helped students learn the new term upcycling as well as get interested in the environmental problems. Also, they could understand other cultures by creating materials that represent each culture and studying their origins and historical backgrounds. In conclusion, this research offers value by developing abilities to cope with not only conflicts between cultures but confrontations between nations in the larger scope.

최근 지식정보 사회는 IT가 핵심 구성요소인 스마트 사회로 변모하고 있으며, 인간과 사물 간 의사소통에서 사물과 사물 간 의사소통까지 확장하고, IT간 융합에서 나아가 타 산업과 융합하는 지능형 사회로 나아가고 있다. '공간'에 대한 정보는 '시간'과 함께 인간이 생활하는데 있어 반드시 알아야 하는 가장 근본적인 정보로써, 공간에서 발생하는 정보를 기반으로 다른 사람들과 소통을 하고 목적을 충족함으로써 삶의 질을 향상시킨다. 현대 사회에서 공간정보는 중요한 인프라 가치를 증대시키므로 새로운 사회 패러다임 전환을 위한 필수적인 요소라 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 수재해 정보 플랫폼 구현에 앞서 사용자의 니즈를 만족시키고 효용가치 증대가 가능하도록 공간정보서비스 활용 방안 연구를 하고자 한다. 공간정보는 시대의 흐름에 따라 형태 및 생산?활용방법이 달라졌으나 항상 중요한 정보로 인식되어 왔으며, 미래 공간정보는 단순 콘텐츠 영역을 뛰어넘어 상황(Context)정보까지 범위를 확장하였다. (1)미국의 공간정보는 시설, 기록관리 및 지도와 같은 공공분야에서 현재는 업무통합관리, 의사결정지원 등에서 데이터 웨어하우스(Data Warehouse)로서의 역할 담당한다. (2)일본은 아시아 최고의 원천기술력을 보유하고 있으며, 높은 수준의 GIS, RS(위성항측), ITS(지능형 교통 시스템) 기술을 기반으로 하고 있다. (3)영국은 지리정보시스템과 공공서비스를 접목하여 시민의 요구에 부응하는 고객맞춤형서비스 제공을 국가정보화의 우선과제로 선정하고 있다. (4)우리나라는 초고속통신망과 모바일 기술 등 세계 최고 수준의 인프라를 확보하고 있어, 이러한 인프라 기반융 복합 공간정보서비스를 이용하는데 안정적인 기반을 확보하고 있다. 본 연구는 국내외 공간정보서비스의 패러다임 변화 및 추진 동향 등을 제시하였으며, 수재해정보 플랫폼 활용에 능동적 적극적으로 접근할 수 있는 기반을 마련하였다. 공간정보서비스를 활용하여 커뮤니케이션 강화, 수재해 정보 서비스의 효율성 증진, 재해부문 선진화 측면에서 발전적 영향을 미칠 수 있으며, 특히 각종 현안에 대한 미래 예측 및 대응에 기여할 것으로 판단된다.

The purpose of this study is to delve into reinterpretation and categorization of normative meaning of tradition. The normative meaning of tradition which plays a key role of the action-guiding power is the main source of morality. According to ecological cultural approach to diachronic transition of traditional value, traditional value leads its dynamic life: its origin, acculturation, transformation, distortion of traditional value depending upon periodic social change. It is necessary for traditional value to be reinterpreted and categorized, with a view to contributing to attribute & competency of democratic citizen in future society. The normative meaning of traditional value applicable for Korea's future society can be reinterpreted from its origin revealed in the classic. The order of discussion in this paper runs as follows. Firstly, we will investigate into dynamic change of the traditional value on the basis of the ecological cultural perspective and seek the possibility of modern reinterpretation of loyalty & filial piety as representative traditional value. Finally, we will treat the categorization and its significance of traditional value in the frame of Korean value including both western value and Korean traditional value.

This study is the first official report on the wild habitats of alien species, Yellow-spotted Amazon River Turtle (Podocnemis unifilis) in Republic of Korea. On July 24, 2020, two P.unifilis were observed basking on rocks at 33°30'20.08"N 126°38'0.23"E, Waheul-ri, Jocheon-eup, Jeju-si, Jeju. One individual had a yellow spots on the head where as the other contains black spot. Our observatory site is close to road and easy access to people. Thus, these individuals were believed to be released in the pond after raising as pets. Recently, the number of alien turtles identified in wild(etc. lake, resevoir) is increasing, which is predicted to damage the aquatic ecosystem due to the inflow of exotic turtles. So, it is necessary to improve the people's awareness of alien species through citizen science projects and environmental education. We suggest that research on habitat adaptation, reproduction and management through continuous monitoring is needed in the future.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the citizens' perception of urban ecosystem and urban ecosystem education to find out how to plan and create an effective urban ecosystem and how to utilize urban ecosystem education and educational media according to age groups. To this end, an online survey of 416 Suwon citizens was conducted, and based on the responses of the respondents, cross-analysis, multiple-response analysis, and correlation analysis were conducted using the IBM SPSS Statistics Statistical Program. The study found that fewer respondents showed a high understanding of urban ecosystem concepts compared to those who recognized the importance of environmental issues. Nevertheless, most of the respondents were aware of the importance of preserving and protecting the urban ecosystem and responded positively to the inconvenience. In addition, most of the respondents were aware of the need for urban ecosystem education and were found to have different preferred information media depending on age. It has been confirmed that the establishment of facilities such as ecological learning centers and seasonal environmental schools is the top priority among all age groups. Citizens are also aware of the importance of preserving and protecting the urban ecosystem and the need for education, but it is deemed necessary to supplement it because effective urban ecosystem conservation and protection plans and systematic education are not provided that citizens can sympathize with. In addition, it is deemed that various measures should be presented in selecting responsible organizations and educational media that host the education for effective education and promotion of urban ecosystem education according to conduct urban ecosystem education.

This paper aims to examine the relationship between global competence and English learning motivation, thereby finding an effective way to strengthen learners' global competence. Data are collected from 361 freshmen studying in a compulsory English course at H University in Seoul, using a survey with five-point Likert scale. Results reveal that there is a positive relationship between global competence and all four components of English learning motivation(integrativeness, instumentality, intrinsic and external motivation). Especially the correlation between global competence and learners' integrativeness is found to be the highest. Thus, this paper proposes two applicable class activities under the assumption that strengthening integrativeness is the most effective way to promote global competence.

As the demand for shared-type electric kickboards increases day by day, various companies in Korea are also providing shared-type electric kickboard rental services. With the rapid growth of related fields, users can easily rent shared electric kickboards in the vicinity, but management after use is not performed properly due to the absence of a designated rental station, and It is a situation that electric kickboards are being damaged. For this reason, citizens' perception of shared electric kickboards has changed negatively, and it is said that the service of shared electric bicycles is limited in some cities. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a user filtering system that extracts Black Consumers that can negatively affect the rental system through indiscriminate use. When this system is introduced, it is expected that safe electric kickboard use and management will be possible.

Securing a safe place to keep its collections in Busan, the interim capital during the Korean War, the National Museum of Korea could fulfill its mission to protect the national treasures. Right before Seoul was recaptured by the Communist forces, the museum managed to evacuate its collections to Busan in December of 1950. Until the armistice in 1953, a Korean government warehouse in Busan had to function as a temporary museum building. Protecting the national treasures in this small building, the National Museum of Korea had to maintain its role as a national museum and contribute in revitalizing cultural functions of Busan, the interim capital. The efforts led to hope for reconstructing the museum.
