Experimental Improvement of the Dropping Test for Evaluating the Appropriate Level of Water Content Ratio in Rammed Earth Method (흙다짐 건축재료의 적정함수비 현장확인을 위한 낙하시험 방법의 실험적 개선)

  • Although the interest for earth architecture has been expanded and settled as a part of modern architecture, precisely calculating the ratio of water content in practice is still difficult and the calculation is based on empirical analysis yet. This causes many problems in durability and maintenance of earthen architecture. Therefore, this study investigated to find the easiest way to correctly calculate the appropriate level of water content ratio (AWCR), which can be used in practice. Until now, the workers have checked the AWCR based on their own experience with popular but vague manuals. On this awareness, we studied the several testing methods and found the dropping test which uses the pattern of shape after the sample is dropped. In this point, we studied and developed the definite testing method in terms of process, and shape discrimination. Also we suggest the test recording sheet by using the cobalt chloride($CoCl_2$) whose color is instantly changed when contacts with the moisture. It is believed that this result can help improving the quality and durability of the earthen architecture using the rammed earth method and the efficiency in practice.

  • Turnkey project, also called Design-Build project, has been expanding and diversifying its business into the Korean market. However, it has been experiencing numerous difficulties due to a large number of change orders on the public turnkey project. Change order during the construction phase impact on time deliveries, budget and quality on a turnkey project. In preparation for this, the government has to improve the awarding procedure and general conditions for turnkey projects. Contractors should also cooperate with their co-working partners and establish a standardized procedure, which provides change order control for efficient implementation on the construction site.

  • Column base is very important part of steel structure because it transmits load to foundation in structure. Column base which is used frame construction in the inside and outside of the country is distributed into exposed-type, concrete encased and imbeded-type. Exposed-type column base is most profitable, if consider reuse and recycle of elements first of all. In this study, we proposed a new style exposed-type column base improved in performance for construction work and mechanical performance.

  • Many underwater concrete structures have been constructed recently in proportion to the increase of ocean developments. The research for the underwater concrete construction was mainly focused in view of placing method. Recently, special admixture agents of concrete were developed for antiwashout concrete under water in some foreign nations. They had successful results in experiments and site constructions. However. there are seldom experimental results or placements in domestic contry. In this paper. We had carried out property tests of fresh and hardened concrete with refer to successful results in experiments and site construction and investigated the physical variation of the antiwashout underwater concrete considering the interaction between antiwashout admixture and other ones. We have decided the optimal mix proportion fb;r antiwashout underwater concrete under standerd sea state.

  • Asphalt waterproofing method has a long history over 80years since introduce to domestic market. This method has a good point as high water proofing not permeable to water by material performance of bitumen, In spite of high waterproofing, the application has become decreased. This asphalt method has some problem such as work safety, low workability by complicated work process, environmental problem in job site, it should be solve by complementary measures. 'Therefore, in this paper, suggest the principle of high pressure spray by heat cycle type equipment by analysis of exist problem and materials investigation. And. study and examine the spray type degeneration rubberized asphalt membrane materials to adopt job site. Moreover, suggest the evidence by inspection about waterproofing performance by Korean Industrial Standard through the performance test of the spray type degeneration rubberized asphalt membrane materials.

  • Practical and efficient application of lean construction, which has been proposed as an alternative to the limitations of traditional construction management methods, was developed to facilitate application on site and improve productivity through the fusion of traditional construction management methods. The concepts of Lean Time and Lean Cycle Time, which are the principles of lean construction, were introduced to eliminate waste and smooth flow production and pursuit of perfection, and the goal of establishing and improving the criteria for measurement and improvement was established and the information collection template was configured and applied to ensure reliability of measurement and analysis. Based on this, the project feasibility, reliability, and continuous improvement process were applied to the Field case to verify its effectiveness.

  • 과거의 이수나 치수기능에 역점을 둔 하천개발이 국민의 하천환경에 대한 관심이 증대되면서 인공화 된 하천을 원래의 자연스러운 하천상태로 되돌리고자 하는 다각적인 노력이 모색되어 하천에 대한 복원계획을 세우고 자연형 하천공법을 개발, 적용하기 위하여 여러 기관에서 각각의 연구목적에 맞게 시험유역에 운영하고 있다. 그러나 소하천은 지역적인 특성이 두드러지고 공간적 분포와 기후적 특성이 다양하기 때문에 소하천 특성변화에 따른 지속적인 자료구축을 위해 유출 및 하도형상등 수리 수문학적 변화특성과 하천환경 특성을 분석하고 모니터링 함으로써 자연형 하천의 시공 후 발생하는 여러 가지 문제에 대한 검증과 설계 시에 세운 목표에 대해서 목표의 달성여부를 검토해야 한다. 하천정비후의 정확한 변화 상태를 검토하여 적용된 공법에 대한 타당성을 검토하여야 하며 각 분야별 세부평가 기준도 작성할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 행정자치부 선정 소하천정비 시범지구로 지정된 봉황소하천에 대해 유역의 시공전후 모니터링을 실시하여 소하천의 환경기능을 향상시킬 수 있는 소하천 정비공법 개발을 위한 지속적이고 일관성 있는 수리 수문 자료의 축적과 하천환경 개선과 향후 자연형 소하천정비 공법의 기초자료로 활용하는 것이 목적이다. 연구 대상지역인 봉황천은 전라남도 강진군에 위치하고 있으며 시범구간 약 1km에 대해 2003년부터 2006년까지 수질, 수리, 생태계 모니터링을 실시하여 시공전후로 비교하였다.

  • 토목구조물의 설계 패러다임이 2차원에서 3차원으로 전환될 때 효율성과 재활용성의 관건이 되는 기술적 제약사항이 호환성이다. 대부분의 캐드 엔진이 형상모델 수준에서 호환성 혹은 연계성을 지원하고 있지만 3차원 정보모델에서 요구하는 정보모델의 호환성은 지원하고 있지 않은 실정이다. 이 논문에서는 콘크리트 박스 교량에 대해서 3차원 교량 정보 모델을 구성하고 건설 프로세서에서 이를 활용할 수 있는 방안을 시범적으로 적용한 사례를 정리하였다. 적용 대상 구조물은 FSM 공법으로 시공되는 경간 40미터의 콘크리트 박스거더 교량이다. 견적, 시공시뮬레이션, 해석 등의 프로세서의 요구사항을 반영한 분류체계에 따라 형상모델의 체계를 정의하고 각각의 형상모델 단위에 정보를 부여하는 방식을 사용하였다. 개별 프로세서를 위한 솔류션에서 이러한 형상과 정보가 연계된 내용을 받아들이거나 캐드 엔진에서 필요한 형태로 내보내는 방식을 모두 시도하였다. 3차원 형상 모델과 시간이 부여된 4D 시뮬레이션을 활용하여 공사 스케쥴에 따라 모델 레이어 분류 작업으로 공사 진행 단계가 가상으로 보여진다. 시범 적용을 통해서 가상건설 시스템의 구성하는 개별 솔류션 혹은 정보체계에 대한 문제점과 개선사항을 도출하였다.

  • 최근 건설 산업에서는 BIM 기반으로 건설프로젝트의 설계에서 부터 시공까지의 업무프로세스를 개선하기 위한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에 앞서 건축구조물을 대상으로 구조설계, 구조해석, 상세설계 등을 수행할 수 있는 상용소프트웨어간의 구조 설계정보 교환을 위한 인터페이스 시스템을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서는 인터페이스 시스템을 실제 구조물의 설계 프로세스에 적용하여, 본 시스템에 대한 실무 활용성 및 문제점 등을 언급하는 적용 사례를 보여주고자 한다.

Effect of Emulsified Refine Cooking Oil and Expandable Microsphere on Durability of High-Volume Blast Furnace Slag Concrete (정제유지류 및 팽창성 인공 기포 조합이 고로슬래그 다량치환 콘크리트의 내구성 및 미시적 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • In this paper, a series of experiments was conducted to evaluate the resistibility of carbonation and freeze-thawing damage of the high-volume blast furnace slag concrete using expancel, the expandable microsphere, and ERCO, emulsified refine cooking oil. The concrete mixture of 0.45 water-to-binder ratio with 60% of blast furnace slag was evaluated for carbonation, freeze-thawing resistibility, SEM, and porosity. According to the previous research, replacing ERCO contributes on improving carbonation resistibility with capillary pore filling effect by soap foaming reaction of ERCO while significantly decreased freeze-thawing resistibility. To improve this decreased freeze-thawing resistibility, expancel was used, and thus freeze-thawing resistibility was improved as the replacement ratio of expancel was increased. It is considered that the selective volume shrunken effect of expancel due to the external pressure and decreased air void spacing factor due to expancel.
