Development of Simple Construction Method for Curbs and L-Type Gutter (경계석과 L형 측구의 간편 시공법 개발)

  • Curbs and L-type gutters installed at the edge of a road are very important structures to protect pedestrians from traffic accidents and to restraint slip of cars due to rain. However, existing construction method where great parts of the construction progress are done by human power has many problems in workability, quality and cost etc. In this paper, a new construction method for improvement in workability and quality for curbs and L-type gutters is developed. In order to investigate the structural safety and quality of curbs and gutters installed by the new method, tensile and lateral load tests are performed on curbs installed by existing and new methods and uniaxial compression tests are also performed on concrete samples of gutters constructed by existing and new methods. The test results show that the alignment of curbs and the strength of gutter concrete are very much improved by applying the new method. The tensile and lateral load capacities of the curbs installed by the new method are 10.7 and 2.5 times higher than those of curbs by existing method, respectively.

The Development of Improved Construction and Design Method on Continuous Preflex Girder Bridge (연속 프리플렉스 거더교의 개선된 시공법과 설계식의 개발)

  • In the previous construction method of continuous preflex composite girder bridge, we raised the inner support, and cast slab concrete innegative moment section, then lowered it to introduce compressive force in the slab. There were a few problems in the process such as the time required in raising the support and the bending of the camber. Therefore, this paper represents an improved construction method of continuous preflex composite girder by only moving downward the inner and outer supports to figure out problems in previous construction method. This paper proposes a design formula to find a proper cross section of preflex girder.

Cable Tension Force Management Using Vibration Method at Cable Stayed Bridge Construction Stages (진동법을 이용한 사장교 시공단계별 케이블 장력관리)

  • Design and construction of long-span bridge are recently increasing by development of computer technology. Specially, cable stayed bridge and suspension bridge having cable component are representative of long-span bridge may do. Therefore, this paper a present a methodology for cable tension force monitoring in cable-stayed bridge under construction using acceleration data acquired by the vibration method. To improve accuracy construction, all stay cables are measured, according to 4-step construction stage and change of temperature.

Non-destructive Inspection of Construction Joints of Concrete Structures Using the Radar and the Infrared Thermography Method (레이더법과 적외선법을 이용한 콘크리트 시공 이음부 공극의 비파괴검사)

  • The joint treatment of concrete is one of the technical problems in concrete constructions. Joints created with concrete constructions result in serious weakness in the aspects of both structural and water-barrier function. The radar and the infrared thermography method have been used for the non-destructive inspection of several construction joints of concrete structures in this study. The advantages and limitations of these methods are investigated for non-destructive inspection on construction joints of concrete columns. It can be shown that the detecting precision of construction joints using these methods is improved if radar analysis is carried out with a simulation analysis. In case of the infrared thermography method, the shape of construction joints can be also detected when heating is performed before testing. As the result, it has been verified that the construction joints, difficult to be detected by visual inspection, could be inspected effectively in broad areas at short period of time when these two methods are applied.

  • Wall of hanok is related to exterior, inner environment, and the period and cost of construction. This study analyzes traditional wall execution method and suggests improved one. The characters of the improved execution method are use of ready made goods, application of dry and prefabricated method and improvement of airtightness and insulation capacity etc. The result of this study needs production of pilot productions and tests of capacity. But this new method will be useful to save the period and cost of hanok construction.

A Characteristics of the Strength Recovery of the Soil Adjacent to the Pile Depending on the Construction Methods of a Environment-friendly Screw Concrete Pile for a Noise- and Vibration-free Method (무소음·무진동을 위한 환경친화적인 스크류콘크리트말뚝의 시공법에 따른 말뚝 인접 지반의 강도 회복 특성)

  • Before and after the test constructions, and after an 11-month hiatus from the pilot pile installations, the in-situ tests (CPT, SPT) were carried out at the ground adjacent to the noise- and vibration-free screw concrete piles installed by 2 kinds of construction methods (i.e., the toe-jetting shoe type, the pre-digging type). In the toe-jetting shoe type construction methods, after construction, the soil strength within 3.5D (where, D = pile diameter) from the pile center decreased greatly by about 46% of the original ground and, after an 11-month hiatus, a strength recovery adjacent to the piles appeared about 71% of the original ground. In the pre-digging type construction methods, a strength recovery adjacent to the piles appeared 100% of the strength of the original ground.

  • 도시가스사업법 시행규칙이 일부 개정되어 지난 해 12월 4일 공포되었다. 도시가스 배관 중 수요자에게 공급하기 위한 저압의 인입관(引入管) 공사 및 단순연결 공사 등 짧은 구간의 배관공사는 상주시공감리에서 제외하여 신속한 가스공급이 이루어지도록 하는 한편, 상주시공감리는 전공정(全公定)시공감리로, 일반시공감리는 일부공정시공감리로 용어를 정비하여 그 의미를 명확히 하고, 가스사용자의 토지 안에 공급관의 가스차단장치를 설치할 수 있도록 하되, 그 가스차단장치의 설치 및 유지관리 비용은 공급자의 부담으로 하는 등 현행 제도의 운영상 나타난 일부 미비점을 개선·보완하려는 것이다.
