역률개선과 고조파 저감을 위한 전류공진 승압형 AC-DC 컨버터의 특성 해석 (Analysis of Characteristics for Current Resonant type Boost AC-DC Converter for PFC and Reducing Harmonics)

  • In this paper, the characteristics of the proposed converter are show by simulation. As a result, the power factor is improved and the results show the usefulness of the proposed circuit. To improve the hard switching at turn-off of the basic circuit, the circuit using a current resonant switch is proposed. In the proposed circuit, THD of the input current is reduced to 1.8 of the basic circuit. The mechanism of the THD reduction is clarified. That is because the on period becomes shorter at the peak of the source voltage. Using the simulation, the characteristics of the output voltage, current flowing the switch, and THD of the input current are investigated by changing the resonant circuit parameters. Criteria for choosing resonant parameters of smaller THD are obtained.

  • The switching-mode power converter has been widely used because of its features of high efficiency and small weight and size. In the switching-mode power converter, the output voltage is generally controlled by varying the duty ratio of main switch. When a converter operates in steady state, duty ratio of the converter is kept constant. So the power of switching noise is concentrated in specific frequencies. The more white noise is injected, the more conducted EMI is reduced. But output-voltage is not sufficiently regulated. This is the reason why carrier frequency selection topology is proposed. In the case of carrier frequency selection, output-voltage of steady state and transient state is fully regulated. Spectrum analysis is performed on the Phase current and the CM noise voltage. The former is measured with Current Probe and the latter is achieved with LISN, which are connected to the spectrum analyzer respectively.

  • This paper describes a boost converter to be operated at the boundary of continuous current mode(CCM) and discontinuous current mode(DCM) for power factor correction and low cost. A control method to be utilized in simulation is a average Current mode method in case of operating in CCM. The simulation results show that Better is the CCM converter then the DCM converter in harmonic content and input current waveform. And A Double-boost converter is superior to single-boost converter for input-current harmonic.

  • In this paper, a proposed resonant PWM switching technique makes the boost AC/DC converter to high input power factor and less switching loss. Also, the switching control scheme is used which minimize harmonic components employing novel PWM technique. In addition, an employment of resonant circuit for switching makes zero current switching(ZCS) and zero voltage switching(ZVS) for control switches without switching losses. The result shows that high power factor is still for varying load and switching loss is very low.

  • This paper presents the efficiency analysis of CCM(Continuous Current Mode) boost converter. A thorough efficiency analysis of a boost converter taking into account the conduction losses, the diode power loss, the switching losses, the gate-drive loss and the capacitive switching loss, for both continuous conduction mode is presented.

  • 본 논문에서는 태양광 발전시스템의 최대전력추종을 위해 퍼지 이론을 도입한 퍼지제어기를 설계하였다. 퍼지제어기의 디지털 설계를 위해 태양광 발전시스템의 각 부분을 구성하고, FPGA를 사용하여 제어기를 구현하였다. 구현된 제어기는 일사량의 변화에도 안정적으로 동작하며, 출력전압의 리플이 작은 결과를 보였다. 또한 FPGA의 퍼지제어기로서의 구현가능성을 발견하고 그 타당성을 입증하였다.

  • A new zero voltage switching (ZVS) 2-transformer boost converter is proposed in this paper. The proposed converter has the advantage that the magnetizing inductor of the transformer acts for the boost inductor without additional inductor. Moreover, ZVS of main switches and auxiliary switches can be achieved, and the switch turn-off surge problem of conventional isolated boost converter is effectively solved. The operational principle, DC voltage gain, and ZVS characteristics are analyzed. To confirm the validity of the proposed converter, simulation results with 200w, 24Vdc/200Vdc specification are presented.

Interleaved 승압형 역률보상 컨버터의 해석 (Analysis of Interleaved Boost Power Factor Corrector)

  • In this paper, interleaved boost power factor corrector(IBPFC) is applied as a pre-regulator in switch mode power supply. IBPFC can reduce input current ripple and effectively increase the switching frequency without increasing the switching losses, because input current is divided each 50% by two switching devices. IBPFC can be classified as three cases by duty ratio condition in continuous current mode and be carried out state space average modeling. According to the modeling, steady and transient state analysis is performed by steady elements and perturbation element. Control transfer function is derived for design of control system.

  • This paper introduces an improved pulse generator using power semiconductors and L-C circuit. The proposed circuit consists of the series connected boost converter structure. In the presented circuits, high voltage pulse is generated by series-connection of capacitors and IGBTs. The charging of capacitors and voltage balance of IGBTs are obtained automatically. To verify the proposed circuit, 1.8㎸, 40A pulse generator is manufactured and tested.

  • This paper is to study on the step-up DC-DC converter for power system which yields output characteristics of low voltage and high current, such as fuel cell generation system. DC-AC-DC scheme is suggested for high ratio of voltage conversion. Three phase MOSFET-SPWM inverter is adopted for intermediate AC conversion and inverter output frequency is chosen at 400[Hz] in order to reduce the size of magnetic circuit and DC filter. Since control strategy which combines voltage controller with current controller in parallel is used, good output performance is obtained both in steady state and in transient state like load variation, not only in single unit operation but also in parallel operation.
