STCW-F협약에 대한 고찰 (A Study on STCW-F Convention, Revolving Around Certification)

  • STCW-F협약은 어선에서 인적요소에 의한 해양사고예방을 위하여 IMO가 1995년에 채택한 협약으로 발효 요건은 15개국만 비준하면 발효되도록 한 협약이나 아직 발효되고 있지 않으나 최근에 비준국가의 급격한 증가로 발효가 임박하였다. 협약은 그 명칭에서 보는 바와 같이 어선 해기사의 자격증명과 훈련 및 당직근무의 기준에 관한 것이다. 자격증명은 무제한 수역에서 조업하는 길이 24미터 이상 항해어선의 당직항해사와 선장, 길이 45미터 이상 제한수역에서 조업하는 당직항해사 및 선장에 대한 자격증과 주기관 추진력 750킬로와트 이상 어선에 승무하는 일등기관사 및 기관장에 대한 자격증명 및 무선통신사의 자격증명이 있다. 훈련은 모든 어선원을 위한 기초안전훈련이 있으며 당직근무기준은 어선에서 항해당직을 유지하기 위하여 준수해야할 원칙이 있다. 또한 회의에서 채택한 결의서가 9개 있다. 특히 동 협약이 발효되면 비차별 조항에 따라 당사국은 항만국 통제를 시행할 수 있으므로 주요 연안국에서 입어 협상 등에서 자기 나라의 입지를 강화하기 위한 수단으로 사용될 소지도 있어 이에 대한 연구가 필요하다.

초음파 골밀도 측정에서 재현성 향상 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Method for Improving Reproducibility in the Ultrasonic Measurement of Bone Mineral Density)

  • It is very important to achieve a high reproducibility in the ultrasonic measurement of bone mineral density. In this study, we examined number of sampling waveform, control of temperature, diameter of region of interest as factors to improve reproducibility. We decided the optimal number of waveforms to be converted to frequency domain as period of 1. We have minimized the effects of variable temperature and constrained generation of micro bubble by keeping temperature within a range of $32\pm0.5^{\circ}C$ with a precise temperature controlling algorithm. We also found the optimal diameter of region of interest to be 13mm. In this paper, we demonstrated the improved reproducibility by controlling various factors affecting the ultrasonic measurement of bone mineral density.

  • As the number of electric vehicles (EV) increases, there is an increasing interest in the post-vehicle application of the EV batteries. For the second use application of EV batteries, the state of health (SOH) at the end of automotive service has to be evaluated differently from the automotive perspective. It will be helpful to consider the driving conditions of EVs in understanding the performance deterioration trend of the battery. In this paper, we acquired the battery status information in real time during driving and compared the characteristics by the driving routes. The SOH from the BMS can be rescaled to percentage ratio to give a more general idea about the performance degradation.

심폐소생술 교육프로그램이 선박승무원의 심폐소생술 지식, 태도 및 수행능력에 미치는 효과와 지속성 (The Effects and Continuum of CPR Education Program on CPR Knowledge, Attitude and Performance in Seafarers)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of CPR education programs on seafarers and the retention period of the knowledge. The subjects of this study were 40 seafarers who took safety training courses at the Korea Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology. The seafarers were tested for their knowledge and attitude before, immediately after, 1 month after, and 3 months after the CPR education program. Data were analyzed for frequency, percentage, ${\chi}^2-test$, and t-test, and ANOVA was measured repeatedly using an SPSS statistical program. Knowledge, attitude, and performance ability were significantly increased post-education as compared to pre-education. Knowledge, attitude and performance ability were consistent when tested after 1 month, but knowledge, attitude, and performance ability were significantly decreased when tested three months later. Therefore, to maintain knowledge, attitude, and skills in performing CPR, appropriate renewal times are necessary in regular seafarers' safety training centers and sailing vessels.

초음파 영상에 의한 골밀도 측정에서 관심영역의 자동 검출방법 (Automatic Detection Method of the Region of Interest in the Measurement of Bone Mineral Density by Ultrasound Imaging)

  • In ultrasonic bone densitometry, the positioning of measurement site is decisive in precision and reproducibility. In this study, automatic Region of Interest (ROI) detection algorithm is suggested and adopted the method using the local minimum value by ultrasonic image. The preprocess before the local minimum method extracts out the bone area and calculates the geometrical information of bone. The developed ROI detection algorithm was applied to the clinical test for the subject of 305 female patients in the range of 22-88 years old. As the results, the accuracy of the algorithm was shown to be 98.3%. It was also found that bone density parameter was significantly correlated with age(r=0.85, p<0.0001).

불가코프의 메타드라마 연구 (A Study on M. Bulgakov's Metadrama)

  • This paper focuses on the specificities and semantic meaning of Mikhail Bulgakov's metadrama White Guard and The Flight. The standard conception of metadrama is to purposefully break the dramatic illusion and make bare a playwright's self-consciousness of the theatrical art itself. With the use of the metadrama Bulgakov expressed the essentials of ugly reality, which he couldn't accept as a valuable truth. In this respect, Bulgakov's metadrama becomes at once a window, from which he views the external world in the theatrical vision, and a mirror, in which his political and existential stance as a playwright is reflected. In White Guard Bulgakov described the already theatricalized reality through several instances of 'play-within-play'. In The Flight, composed of eight pieces of dream, a life turned out to be a less solid and less firm reality than dream. Continuously demolishing the cognitive wall between reality and illusion, Bulgakov leads spectators to have a reflective view on the reality. Allowing more powerful demonstrativeness for a play-within-play than for a play-within-play, Bulgakov elevates a metadramatic technique to the level of thematic structure.

항공기 객실승무원의 우주방사선 노출에 관한 고찰 (Literature Review on Cosmic Radiation Exposure to Air Craft Cabin Crew)

  • Recently, together with advancement of domestic aviation industry, overseas tourists using planes have been soared. This study aimed to investigate the risk of diseases for the passengers and flight attendants from the exposed cosmic radiation during the flight by domestic and international literature reviews, as follows. Airliners should develop the program to measure the actual radiation dose and prepare the portable devices for radiation measurement in flight to lower the accumulated dose of cosmic radiation by the attendants. Regulation should be prepared to check the exposed dose during the flight for the passengers by announcement of individual exposed radiation dose which has been provided only to the flight attendants. Passengers and flight attendants should recognize they are exposed to excessive cosmic radiation during the flight and civilians should be protected by the cosmic radiation when they use the flights, which should be prepared by the regulations.

B747-8 항공기의 CPDLC-DCL 운영에 관한 설명적 연구 (미국 내 운항을 중심으로) (Explanatory Research on CPDLC-DCL in USA of B747-8)

  • CPDLC-DCL (Controller Pilot Data Link Communications-Departure Clearance) began in 2016 with 62 Towers in the United States. The application of this procedure is to utilize equipment different from existing ACARS PDCs or ACARS-DCLs. The purpose of this study is to provide information and understanding of CPDLC-DCL operation methods. Also, B747-8 aircraft considered operational cases related to departure procedures at U.S. airports. This procedure is currently not mandatory but will be mandatory in the future. The Flight Crew Procedures for CPDLC-DCL, as an appendix, will be a useful resource for B747-8 pilots.

배구자무용연구소의 가무극 <파계> 연구 (A study on the performance strategies and the composition of the performing works in Baegooja musical dance theater group through Violate)

  • 배구자는 1920~30년대 조선에서 큰 인기를 확보한 무용수이자 연극인이었다. 그녀는 배구자악극단을 창립하여 조선과 해외(일본)를 오가면서 공연을 펼쳤고, 대중들은 그녀의 작품을 보기 위해서 극장으로 몰려들었다. 그녀와 그녀의 극단이 인기를 확보하고 있을 무렵, 그러니까 1931년 배구자무용연구소는 '혁신 공연'을 선언하고 일련의 작품을 발표했다. 당시 공연 작품 중에는 가무극 <파계>가 포함되어 있었는데, 다행히 <파계>는 공연 대본으로 기록되어 현재까지 전해질 수 있었다. 남아 있는 가무극 <파계>를 통해, 배구자무용연구소(나아가서는 '배구자악극단')의 공연 전략과 레퍼토리의 실체를 파악할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 조선 근대연극(사)의 주요한 축을 담당한 배구자악극단에 대한 연구는, 일제강점기 조선의 대중극의 다양한 갈래와 그 특성에 대한 이해를 제고할 것으로 전망된다.

항공승무원의 기압성 중이염 (Barotits Media in Aircrews)

  • Middle-ear barotrauma is a common problem reported by aircrew members and passengers. Studies have shown that 20~50% of passengers report ear complaints during the flight or after landing. Barotitis media is defined as an acute or chronic inflammation caused by a pressure differential between the tympanic cavity and the surrounding atmosphere. The Problems caused by otitis media or sinusitis of aircrew during landing and take-off can be a threat to aviation safety. Therefore, the aviation medical examiner should know about barotitis media of aircrews. In this paper, we aimed to learn what is barotitis media and how much it could affect aircrews. Also, we aimed to evaluate how barotitis media could make an impact on crews during flight, and how to manage these problems.
