  • 지능형 로봇에 사용되는 필수적인 여러 센서들 중 시각센서는 로봇 지각의 중추적인 역할을 담당한다. 로봇 시장의 확대와 함께 이러한 시각 센서를 기반으로 인간과 로봇과의 자연스러운 상호작용에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으며 최근에 학교와 연구소를 중심으로 대상체의 삼차원 거리 영상 정보를 함께 얻을 수 있는 스테레오 비전 처리 기술 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 고에서는 스테레오 비전 처리에 대한 국내외연구 개발 동향에 대해 살펴보고 ETRI에서 개발중인 지능형 로봇의 스테레오 비전 처리 기술에 대하여 소개한다.

  • We propose a method to measure the number of specific species of class using CAFFE model and a method to measure length and width of object using stereo vision. To obtain the width of an object, the location coordinates of objects appearing on the left and right sensor is compared and the distance from the sensor to the object is obtained. Then the length of the object in the image by using the distance and the approximate value of the actual length of the object is calculated.

  • A stereo vision analysis was performed for motion and depth control of unmanned vehicles. In stereo vision, the depth information in three-dimensional coordinates can be obtained by triangulation after identifying points between the stereo image. However, there are always triangulation errors due to several reasons. Such errors in the vision triangulation can be alleviated by careful arrangement of the camera position and orientation. In this paper, an approach to the determination of the optimal position and orientation of camera is presented for unmanned vehicles.

  • We detect the obstacle for the UGV(unmanned ground vehicle) from the compound image which is generated by stereo vision sensor masking the depth image and color image. Stereo vision sensor can gathers the distance information by stereo camera. The obstacle information from the depth compound image can be send to mobile robot and the robot can localize the indoor area. And, we test the performance of the mobile robot in terms of distance between the obstacle and the robot's position and also test the color, depth and compound image respectively. Moreover, we test the performance in terms of number of frame per second which is processed by operating machine. From the result, compound image shows the improved performance in distance and number of frames.

  • 로봇의 현재 위지 추적은 무인 로봇 자동 항법시스템의 중요 기술로 센서 데이터로부터 로봇의 위치를 결정하고 환경맵을 구성하는 것이다. 기존 방법으로는 초음파, 레이저 등의 거리 측정 센서를 이용해 로봇의 전역 위치를 찾는 방법과 스테레오 비전을 통한 방법이 개발되었다. 거리 측정 센서만으로 로봇위치 추적 알고리즘은 계산량이 감소하고 비용이 적게 들지만 센서오차율 및 환경장애에 따른 오류가 크다. 이에 반해 스테레오 비전 시스템은 3차원 공간영역을 정확히 측정할 수 있지만 계산량이 많아 고사양의 시스템을 요구하고 알고리즘 구현에 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 단일 카메라 영상과 PSD(position sensitive device) 센서를 사용하여 로봇의 현재 위치를 추적하고 환경맵을 구성하여 자율이동이 가능한 시스템을 제안한다.

Simulation of Radiation Imaging based on the Scanning of Pin-hole Stereo Vision Sensors (핀홀 스테레오 비전 센서의 공간 스캔을 통한 방사선의 영상화 시뮬레이션)

  • There are always much concern about the leakage of radiation materials in the event of dismantle or unexpected accident of nuclear power plant. In order to remove the leakage of radiation materials, appropriate dispersion detection techniques for radiation materials are necessary. However, because direct handling of radiation materials is highly restricted and risky, developing radiation-related techniques needs computer simulation in advance to evaluate the feasibility. In this paper, we propose a radiation imaging technique which can acquire 3D dispersion information of radiation materials and tested by simulation. Using two virtual 1D radiation sensors, we obtain stereo radiation images and acquire the 3D depth to virtual radiation materials using stereo disparity. For point and plane type virtual radiation materials, the possibility of the acquisition of stereo radiation image and 3D information are simulated.

  • SLAM(Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) system is to find a global position and build a map with sensing data when an unmanned-robot navigates an unknown environment. Two kinds of system were developed. One is used distance measurement sensors such as an ultra sonic and a laser sensor. The other is used stereo vision system. The distance measurement SLAM with sensors has low computing time and low cost, but precision of system can be somewhat worse by measurement error or non-linearity of the sensor In contrast, stereo vision system can accurately measure the 3D space area, but it needs high-end system for complex calculation and it is an expensive tool. In this paper, we implement the SLAM system using a single camera image and a PSD sensors. It detects obstacles from the front PSD sensor and then perceive size and feature of the obstacles by image processing. The probability SLAM was implemented using the data of sensor and image and we verify the performance of the system by real experiment.

  • A new INS/Vision integrated navigation system by using multi-vision sensors is addressed in this paper. When the total number of landmark measured by the vision sensor is smaller than the allowable number, there is possibility that the navigation filter can diverge. To prevent this problem, multi-vision concept is applied to expend the field of view so that reliable number of landmarks are always guaranteed. In this work, the orientation of camera installed are 0, 120, and -120degree with respect to the body frame to improve the observability. Finally, the proposed technique is verified by using numerical simulation.

  • Recently, many unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) studies have focused on small UAVs, because they are cost effective and suitable in dangerous indoor environments where human entry is limited. Map building through distance measurement is a key technology for the autonomous flight of small UAVs. In many researches for unmanned systems, distance could be measured by using laser range finders or stereo vision sensors. Even though a laser range finder provides accurate distance measurements, it has a disadvantage of high cost. Calculating the distance using a stereo vision sensor is straightforward. However, the sensor is large and heavy, which is not suitable for small UAVs with limited payload. This paper suggests a low-cost distance measurement system using a laser pointer and a monocular vision sensor. A method to measure distance using the suggested system is explained and some experiments on map building are conducted with these distance measurements. The experimental results are compared to the actual data and the reliability of the suggested system is verified.

  • 애니메이션과 컴퓨터 게임 등의 다양한 산업에 이용되고 있는 모션캡쳐 시스템은 현재 카메라를 이용한 고가의 고속 카메라를 사용하여 일반인들이 범용으로 사용하기에는 많은 어려움이 따른다. 이에 본 연구에서는 고가의 고속카메라를 사용하는 대신 저가의 PSD 센서를 사용하여 광학방식의 모션캡쳐 시스템을 구성하였다. 또한 시스템에서 획득한 3 차원 데이터의 정확성을 위해 일반적으로 CCD 카메라에 사용되어지는 카메라 보정 알고리즘을 PSD 모션캡쳐 시스템에 적용하여 손쉽게 보정을 하면서 적은 오차를 가질 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다.(중략)
