The purpose of this study is to investigate characteristics of students' problem solving processes based on their mathematical thinking styles and thus to provide implications for teachers regarding how to employ multiple representations. In order to analyze these characteristics, 202 university freshmen were recruited for a paper-and-pencil survey. The participants were divided into four groups on a mathematical-thinking-style basis. There were two students in each group with a total of eight students being interviewed. Results show that mathematical thinking styles are related to defining a mathematical concept, problem solving in relation to representation, and translating between mathematical representations. These results imply methods of utilizing multiple representations in learning and teaching mathematics by embodying Dienes' perceptual variability principle.

According to diversity of life style, introduction of well-being trend and increase of demand based on the IT-convergence, Recently "smart clothing" study has been diversified on user applications such as entertainment, healthcare, business and sports. And the smart clothing's market has been progressed in diverse aspects. But, study of smart clothing based on consumer aspect and market diversification is insufficient. The purpose of this study is to identify consumer's needs on smart clothing and to suggest directions for development of smart clothing based on their lifestyle that focused on digital and fashion lifestyle that be closely connected with smart clothing product development. This study is focused on the ages of 20-30 who are considered to be high demand consumers on the smart clothing market. As a result of study, life style based on clothing and digital is categorized 3 types as trend-pursuit style, sensual information-pursuit style and practical function-pursuit style. we suggested direction for development of smart clothing based on consumer's needs of the smart clothing according to the customer's lifestyle types.

This paper introduces a maintenance support tool for C++ programs. The tool was extended by adding a documentation supporting tool(DT) and an OOD/OOP style guidelines supporting tool(OOD\ulcornerP-GT) to previous work results, the complexity measurement tool(CT) and the visualization tool(VT). The tool was named C++ MT. For the extention, we studied a documentation method of object oriented programs, analyzed and grouped the OOD/OOP style guidelines suggested in some works. The DT developed in this paper helps programmer understand, cange, and est programs, and also extract the reuse components. OOD/P-GT provides guielines for programmer to improve program quality.

본 연구의 목표는 예비 노인층의 라이프스타일을 파악하고 유비쿼터스 주거환경에서의 디자인 요구특성을 파악하는 것이다. 연구방법은 문헌조사와 심층면접, 웹서베이로 이루어졌고, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 신체적, 경제적, 사회적 상황에 따라 6개의 라이프스타일 유형으로 분류할 수 있었다. 둘째, 신체적, 경제적, 사회적 상황이 가장 높은 유형 5가 가장 많은 비율을 차지하고 있었다. 셋째, 고령친화 유비쿼터스 주거환경 디자인 요소에 대한 요구도는 라이프스타일에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 넷째, 본 연구를 통해서 파악된 고령친화 유비쿼터스 주거환경에 적용가능한 디자인 지침들은 단계적으로 적용시킬 필요가 있는 것으로 파악되었다.

The purpose of this study was to identify the types of subjectivity on communication styles of nursing freshmen and explore their properties by using the Q Methodology. Fifty nursing freshmen of P sample classified 55 Q-statements into the normal distribution of 11 point scale. Data were collected from May to June, 2015 and analyzed by using PC-QUANL program. As a result, communication styles are identified as 'Open-interaction facilitator', 'Other-considerate listener', 'Tense-sensitive to criticism person', and 'Non-interactive observer'. Open-interaction facilitators proficiently use verbal and nonverbal expressions, openly disclosing themselves and facilitating interactions with others. Other-considerate listeners primarily consider others before themselves, with careful communication. Tense-sensitive to criticism persons are nervous, sensitive to criticism, and are distractive style, so they have difficulties in intimate interaction with others. Non-interactive observers are bystanders who observe others and feel indifferent to interactions, without any self disclosure. The result of this study will be used for developing communication educational programs for nursing freshmen.

This paper presents a priori and the local font classification method. The font classification uses ascenders, descenders, and serifs extracted from a word image. The gradient features of those sub-images are extracted, and used as an input to a neural network classifier to produce font classification results. The font classification determines 2 font styles (upright or slant), 3 font groups (serif sans-serif or typewriter), and 7-font names (Postscript fonts such as Avant Garde, Helvetica, Bookman, New Century Schoolbook, Palatine, Times, and Courier). The proposed a priori and local font classification method allows an OCR system consisting of various font-specific character segmentation tools and various mono-font character recognizers. Experiments have shown font classification accuracies reach high performance levels of about 95.4 percent even with severely touching characters. The technique developed for tile selected 7 fonts in this paper can be applied to any other fonts.

Drum Set are representative instruments that use grips in modern popular music. Depending on how and how clearly you hold the basic grip, it also affects your performance ability. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses of each grip, derive the resulting complex effects, and present practical application plans to the drummers. The research method is largely divided into traditional and matched grips, and in detail, German, American, French, and hybrid styles are included to analyze the performance method utilized. It also refers to the grip method of all drummers from the 1930s to the present, which was registered in Drummer World, an overseas drum site. This study proposed several application plans by classifying and analyzing the most basic grip methods in drum set in detail. I was able to see that the performance impact was different depending on the grip, and I think it will be more helpful for future performances if I understand both the positive and adverse functions of each grip and play it.

특정 양식은 일반적으로 명확한 조형적 특질을 제시한다. 역사적으로 볼 때 이러한 양식적 특성의 변화 과정에 따라 대부분 시기가 구분되어진 것을 알 수 있다. 그러나 기계에 의한 생산 체제에 적합한 형태의 탐색이 요구되던 20세기 초기에 나타난 수많은 양식 중의 하나인 아르데코 양식에 따른 복식스타일은 의류학 전공자들에게조차도 혼란을 일으키는 경우가 있다. 그 이유는 첫째, 시기가 너무 폭넓게 분포되어 있어 그 기간동안 몇 차례에 걸쳐 전혀 다른 복식스타일이 태동하기 때문이다. (중략)

Generative adversarial networks (GAN)에 대한 간략하게 설명하고, MNIST (숫자 손 글씨 데이터 셋)를 이용한 간단한 실험을 통해 GAN 구조 구조의 이해를 돕는다. 그리고 GAN이 어떻게 응용이 되고있는지 다양한 논문들을 통해 살펴본다. 본 고에서는 GAN 논문들을 크게 이미지 스타일 변경, 3D 오브젝트 추정, 손상된 이미지 복원, 언어의 시각화, 기타 등으로 분류하였다.

Elicitation of design concepts is the most important process in web-site design, but it is not an easy task to average designers. In this paper, we have analyzed most of the good web designs and classified them into seven large categories mainly based on design elements. This framework will give a guidance to average designers to easily tackle the elicitation process of web design concepts.
