Study on New Concept Flood Barrier Technology against Storm Surge (해일대비 신개념 침수방어벽 기술 개발에 대한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 해안 및 도서지역에서 기후변화에 따라 재해위험이 증가되고 있으므로 '해일대비 신개념 침수방어벽 기술 개발'을 통해, 침수방어벽을 ICT와 연계하여 국민의 재산과 생명을 보호할 수 있도록 하는 연구이다. 이를 위해 국내·외 침수방어벽 자료를 조사하여 연구방향을 설정한 후, 국내·외 침수방어장치에 대한 개선방안을 제시하고자 한다. 기존 침수방어벽의 경우 ICT와 연계되어 있지 않아서 침수 예보나 경보 상황에 대응할 수 없는 실정이었다. 본 연구에서는 ICT 연계 방안을 제시하여 침수에 즉각적으로 대응할 수 있도록 함으로써 국민의 재산과 생명을 보호할 수 있도록 하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 제시된 ICT 연계 침수방어벽에 대한 설치 대상지 검토 및 사업 대상 후보지를 선정하고, 조건별 수치모의(SWMM, 3D flow, FEM 등)를 통해 능력 검토를 수행하고자 한다. 향후 침수방어벽 시제품을 제작하면서 구조적인 안정성을 확보하도록 하였다. 침수센서의 경우 지주식으로 침수방어벽과 일체형으로 하고, 투명 침수방어벽의 경우 유리에 직접 디스플레이가 가능하도록 하였다. 본 연구에서는 기존에 보유하고 있는 직립형 고무보와 투명 홍수방어벽 기술에 대하여 재질과 구동방식, 시공성, 경제성, 유지관리 용이성 등을 재검토하여 해안 및 도서지역에 적합한 침수방어벽 기술에 대한 시제품과 운영시스템을 개발하고자 하며, 이를 통해 국민의 재산과 생명을 보호하고, 국내 물 시장에서 침수를 방지하여 국민경제에 기여할 수 있으며, 향후 ODA 사업에서 홍수예·경보 및 구조적 대책 분야에 진출하여 수출증대 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것이다.

  • This study aims to suggest useful information for tteokbokki franchise businesses to enter foreign markets by market testing and surveying preferences of foreign consumers with various kinds of tteokbokki. For this research, a survey was conducted from July 16 to August 20, 2012, targeting the people who live in Beijing, Tokyo, Singapore. The data was collected and analyzed using SPSS for Windows Version 18.0. The relationship between the general details of consumers and the results of the market test were analyzed using canonical correlation analysis. Research results and utilization plans are expected to use for improving the image of the country and ripple effects on exporting agricultural and fishery products, along with the effect of increasing spread of overseas personnel export and domestic Korean overseas supply of cultural content. Nurturing restaurant franchise business, creating jobs, and contributing to the increase in the income of the rural economy are also expected. Fermented tteokbokki franchise business should create new added value. The development of fermented tteokbokki will build a new culture of consumption, expand consumption, academic cooperation and joint technology development, and activate employment linked. Consequently, it is necessary to understand eating habits of local consumers from a variety of perspectives such as texture, taste, and colors of sauce when globalizing Korean food.

A Study on Relationship Between Violation of Environmental Regulations and Firm's Characteristics (기업특성과 환경규제 위반의 관계 연구)

  • The purposes of this paper are analysed the relationship between environmental regulation and financial performance in Korea. The financial performance of listed companies and Outside Auditing firms was evaluated by logistic regression. First, R&D investment is proportionally correlated with the ability to comply with environmental regulations. It can be explained increase of investment in R&D causes enhancement of compliance of environmental regulations with development of environmental technology. Second, statistical significance is not observed between financial aspects such as current ratio, debt-to-equity ratio, cash flow, and operating profit margin and the ability to comply with environmental regulations. It indicates high financial performance could not directly lead investment for the ability of that. Third, in terms of structural aspects, firm size and employees have a reliable correlation with compliance with environmental regulations due to high attention of larger firms for PR, and IR, while capital intensity and gravity, and exports do not. Finally, violation of environmental regulations is not affect by the controlling shareholder ownership.

A Trend Analysis on Export Container Volume Between Korea and East Asian Ports (우리나라와 동아시아 항만간의 수출 컨테이너 물동량 추이 분석)

  • The East Asian region, an important part of Korea's imports and exports, is expected to grow further driven by the geographical, political, economic, social, and cultural complementarity. With the recent increase in imports and exports, the port trade volume between Korea and East Asian countries is also growing. However, due to various factors, such as economic size, growth rate, port infrastructure level, and geographical location of these countries, the volume of traffic with these ports is fluctuating. Despite much research on the volatility of port trade volume and changes in port network, this study tries to supplement the gap in a more detailed study of ports in Korea and East Asia since these kinds of studies are limited. The purpose of this study is to analyze the trend of distribution routes of export container cargo among ports in Korea and to present policy and practical implications of Korean trading companies, shipping companies, logistics companies, and port authorities. This study analyzes the variability of the trade volume between Korea's major ports and Daedong. Results show that Shanghai, Ningbo, Ho Chi Minh, and Haiphong were the most important factors in terms of size and volume increase. In terms of ports, the Busan port is the port responsible for trades with Yantai, Weihai, Hakata, Kobe, Ho Chi Minh, and Haiphong; Incheon port deals with Lianyungang, Tianjin, Osaka, Kobe, Ho Chi Minh, Haiphong; Gwangyang port trades with Tianjinxingang, Weihai, Yokohama, Mihn and Tanjong, and Ulsan port is strategically important for the Yantai, Lianyungang, Nagoya, Kobe, Ho Chi Minh and Portkelang ports. Therefore, the Korean government, port authorities, and shipping and logistics companies need to strengthen logistic network cooperation with these ports and actively promote investments in them.

A Survey on the Consumer Preferences for Improving Retort Food Packaging of Samgyetang on Domestic Market in Korea (국내 레토르트 삼계탕 제품의 포장 개선을 위한 소비자 기호도 조사)

  • We studied the consumer preference for the packaging of "Samgyetang" retort product in order to improve its function and design. A total of 319 eligible respondents (male 175, female 144) were surveyed with a questionnaire asking on the general characteristics for the preference of the packaging function, type of retort package, packaging design, convenience, cooking method of retort product and characteristics of "Samgyetang" retort product. The collected data was analyzed using a chi-square (X2) statistical test in SPSS program. The results showed that the retort packages with opacity and microwaveable types were preferred. Also, most respondents expressed that it needs to be improved for cooking convenience. Another question results showed that the consumers are considering the taste and cost of a product more important than the brand of its product when purchasing. Based on the results of the questionnaire, the study suggested that many consumers want the convenience of packaging and product protection for high value added product. The results help to provide consumer's demand for packaging development and to provide the greatest advantages in terms of production and marketability of "Samgyetang" retort product.

  • This paper investigates how ODA FDI Trade affect economic growth in 4 South America countries over the last 50 years and ODA, FDI, Trade have a impact on the 4 South America countries economic growth using the Vector Error Correction Model. The results of empirical analysis based on data from 1960 to 2014 confirmed that FDI and trade than ODA has had a significant impact on Brazil and FDI, Trade had affected on Argentina economic growth. On the other hand, ODA had a more major impact on Venezuela, Peru economic growth than FDI and trade. Based on the results of these empirical analysis, when it comes to support for economic growth of underdeveloping countries, developed countries have to supply enough ODA for least developing countries to start economic growth, in case of economic take off stage, they should consider FDI, and international trade volume increase.

  • The purpose of this study is on the expansion of trade between South Korea and Middle East Countries. This paper examines the existing state of the Middle East area. The Trade Intensity index and Trade Specialization index analysis enables to evaluate the trade between South korea and Middle east Countries. Hence, this study explains how to proceed the trade and shows some items for advancement in the market. And it gives also some products for vitalizing the export in South Korea. Furthermore, this presents the next-generation growth engines industry and develops new market frontier. In order to promote trade between South korea and Middle East area, korean government must be keep trying to make the FTA with middle east. and korean company must be improving to understand the local culture and to hire special for Middle East.

It is necessary to change cultivars in order to think about nutritional value and flavor, and further environment, and high quality premium milk will become a new trend in the future. Furthermore, promoting the benefits of milk consumption would contribute in raising the milk demand that is negatively correlated with increasing age.

Based on the abundant energy resources such as oil, gas, and minerals, as foreign trade is active, the huge capital is moving. And commitment the active SOC by improving laws and regulations and changes in the structure of the Russian economy. One of them pushed the WTO since 1993, 19 years to see fruition join the WTO (World Trade Organization). As the official entry into force August 22, Russia, July 10, 2012, Congress passed the treaty after joining the WTO and of the 156th WTO member countries, was officially join. As the WTO, Russia has the world's 11th-largest economy in the steel tariffs from 30% to 15% are exported to Russia, South Korea Car TV parts from 10% to 0%, reduced from 20% to 5% Korean export companies to export to Russia, etc., is expected to become the new land of opportunity. Russia hopes the changes improve the investment environment, the service industry, manufacturing revitalization the macroeconomic sectors of the economy through the WTO, and forecast, but the consumption increased revenue due to tariff cuts, falling import prices and the real economy, and weak manufacturing base. On the one hand, the perspective of concern.   • Although growth potential of trade between Korea and the GCC region has existed in various fields through economic and business cooperation, few data and practical study related with trade structure and cooperation between Korea and GCC region have been found and the potential for further economic expansion has not been extensively explored. In this sense, this study is to analyze trade flows between Korea and GCC region countries(Saudi Arabia, Unites Arab Emirates, Qatar) using trade intensity index, trade complementarity index and special country bias index, identify potential for further expansion of Korea's trade into the GCC region and further propose the implication of FTA between mutual countries. Our analysis of trade flows also demonstrates that there is a high level of trade complementarity between Korea and GCC region. It means that increase of trade complementarity and special country bias come from removing not only trade barrier and increasing but also capital movement. Especially, the study reveals that there is an untapped potential for Korea to increase its exports to Saudi, based on the highest complementarities. Export expansion between Korea and Saudi through FTA will create new opportunity in near future.
