  • 농산물 포장화물의 경우 농산물의 손상은 겉포장 상자의 파손에 의한 압상이 주요 원인이다. 따라서 농산물 상자의 경우 압축강도를 특히 중요시 여기고 있으며, 한국산업규격을 비롯해 각종 농산물 관련 규정에서는 압축강도에 의한 상자의 품질관리를 규정화 하고 있다. 골판지 상자의 압축강도는 원단인 골판지의 구성 원지들(라이너, 골심지)의 품질과 이들의 구성 형태 및 상자의 외형 치수 비율에 따라 결정되므로, 원지의 링크라쉬(ring crush), 원단의 수직압축강도(edgewise compression strength)를 통해 상자의 압출강도를 관리하는 것이 보통이다. 또한 골판지 상자는 제작 후 유통 과정을 거치면서, 여러 요인에 의해 압축강도가 현격하게 저하되는데, 이중 수분 흡습에 의한 강도저하와 장기 누적하중, 진동 및 충격 등의 피로로 인한 강도 저하가 가장 크다. 여러 산업 분야에서 골판지 상자의 견고성 문제는 물품의 내수 및 수출시 제품에 대한 신뢰성 확보와 기업의 이미지 제고와 직결되는 중요한 사항이다. 특히, 세계 각 국의 농산물 시장이 개방됨에 따라 우리나라 농산물의 수출도 확대될 전망이고 또한 마땅한 대체재가 개발되지 않는 한 골판지 상자의 이용은 날로 증가될 것으로 전망된다. 따라서 골판지 상자의 압축강도와 내구성 향상에 대한 다각적인 연구가 절실하다.   • The PSP(Pressure Sensitive Paint) is a technique to measure continuous pressure distribution on medel surface by oxygen quenching. The objective of this study is to apply PSP which is measured pressure for analyzing that air-fuel mixing characteristics in SCRamjet combustor. Experimentation is performed at freestream Mach number of 2.5 and used fuel jet injection. The result shows that growing air-fuel mixed proportions by increasing in cavity size. Also, PSP results compared with conventional pressure tap and CFD. They are coincided with qualitative and the inclination.

  • When a moist air is rapidly expanded in a supersonic nozzle, nonequilibrium condensation occurs at a supersaturation state. Condensation shock wave appears in the nozzle flow if the releasing latent heat due to condensation goes beyond a critical value. It has been known that self-excited oscillations of the condensation shock wave generate in an air or a steam nozzle flow with a large humidity. In the present study, the passive control technique using porous wall with a cavity underneath was applied to the condensation shock wave. The effects of the passive control on the steady and self-excited condensation shock waves were experimentally investigated by Schlieren visualization and static pressure measurements. The result shows that the present passive control is a useful technique to suppress the self-excited oscillations of condensation shock wave.

  • Due to the application of Integrated Head Assembly (IHA) in KSNP+ reactor design, an investigation of reactor internals integrity is carried out to assure that the adoption of IHA does not affect the safety of reactor operation. One of the postulated accident events is the R.V. closure head fall from 5.5m high directly above the reactor vessel that may occur during the refueling operation. The analysis model consists of lumped mass elements of the entire reactor vessel and internals. Because of extreme load, separate elastic-plastic analyses are done for the members that undergo plastic deformation. The analysis verified that the stresses of the reactor internals and the fuel assemblies are within the bound of allowable stress limits and the integrity of the fuel assemblies is maintained.

  • 열차폐 코팅(Thermal Barrier Coating)은 주로 항공기 엔진이나 화력발전용 터빈 등의 $1300^{\circ}C$ 이상의 고온에서 사용되는 부품에 적용되어 모재(내열합금)의 손상 방지 및 에너지 효율 향상을 위해 사용되고 있다. 열차폐 코팅의 경우 Plasma Spray 공법과 EB-PVD(전자빔 물리 증착법) 공법이 가장 많이 사용되고 있다. Plasma Spray에 의한 열차폐 코팅 공정은 생산 비용이 저렴하고 수평형 적층 구조를 통한 높은 열전도율을 가지는 장점이 있으며, EB-PVD 공정은 수직형 구조의 열차폐막을 통해 내열 충격성과 내열 사이클성이 양호하다는 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 열 사이클의 내구성이 뛰어난EB-PVD를 이용하여 열차폐 코팅 공정연구를 진행하였다. 본 연구소에서 사용하고 있는 EB-PVD 는 종래의 장치와는 달리 70 kW급 전자총 5기가 장착 되어 있으며, 각각 시편 가열용 전자총 2기 및 피코팅용 가열 전자총 3기로 구성되어 있다. 이런 구성을 통해 다양한 종류의 열차폐 박막과 높은 결정성과 치밀도를 가지는 박막 형성할 수 있을 것이다. 본 발표에서는 EB-PVD 공정 연구결과 및 향후 실용화를 위한 개발 연구 방향에 대해서 기술하였다.

  • The estimation of proper prediction method and the transformation method of environmental regulation standard were carried out by measuring blasting vibration. Vibration velocity was more adequate than vibration level in the blasting design by scaled distance. Thus, design and construction mutt be controlled by vibration velocity, and it is required that the vibration velocity is transformed to vibration level to meet regulation standard. Three transformation methods were studied. First, transformation formula is derived from the shock vibration data only. The second method it the transformation by correlation equation of vibration velocity and vibration level measured at the same time. The last one is the transformation of vibration velocity by FFT. It seems to be difficult to estimate damages by these methods because that every method shows considerable error. But transformation formula of PPV component to vibration level was most practical.

  • A pneumatic control system of compressed air as a working fluid has a variety of advantages such as low price, high respondence, non-explosion and good control performance and thus has many applications in the field of automobile, electronic and semiconductor industry. However, it has a difficulty in contolling a precise position due to quick response of system and compressibility of working fluid and. in particular, shock stress may occur due to an external load, resulting in fracture of a cylinder cap unless cushion device is equipped in the linear actuator. To avoid this, a cushion device should be installed for damping effect of the external load and the supply pressure as well as for decreasing shock stress and vibration caused by high speed rotation. Previous studies include dimensionless analyses and computer simulations of cushion capability and experiments of horizontally-mounted cylinder performances. A new attempt is experimentally made in this study using a vertically-mounted cylinder under an operation condition of 4, 5 and 6 (bar) as supply pressure and 40, 70 and 100 (kgf) as external load. It turns out that the cushion pressure is mainly a function of the external load rather than the supply pressure. The cushion characteristics was also revealed in the meter-in circuit.

  • 67Ni-22Cr-10Al-1Y and $ZrO_2-8Y_2O_3$ were coated on the substrate surface of ST304 and Al2024 by the plasma spraying method. The adgesion of the films varies depending on the substrates and the laminating method. In the case of STS304, the cracks were observed at thermal shock temperature difference ${Delta}T$ of $900^{circ}C$ in the non functionally gradient material(NFGM) and at $1100^{circ}C$ in the functionally gradient material(FGM). The film adhesion of the FGM is better than that of the NFGM in ST304. The cumulative AE count of the FGM of STS304 increased continuously at the bending test. But the NFGM of STS304 showed discontinuity of the AE count. The total AE count for the FGM of STS304 decreased as the number of thermal shock increased, and this tendency was evident as the thermal shock temperature difference increased.

  • Starting from the Eu's GH(Generalized Hydrodynamic) theory, the multi-species GH numerical solver is developed in this research and its computatyional behaviors are examined for the hypersonic rarefied flow over an axisymmetric body. To improve the accuracy of the developed multi-species GH solver, various slip-wall boundary conditions are tested and the computed results are compared. Additionally, in order to validate the entropy characteristics of the GH equation, the entropy production and entropy generation rates of the GH equation are investigated in the 1-dimensional normal shock structure test at a high Knudsen number.

  • An axisymmetric supersonic ejector equipped with a converging-diverging diffuser was built and pressure at various locations along the ejector-diffuser system was recorded with emphasis on the supersonic starting of the secondary flow. In order to find the effects of the opening size of the secondary flow, a number of openings were used with a constant primary pressure. Supersonic starting was possible only for d/D, the ratio of the opening diameter and the diffuser throat diameter, less than 0.306. for larger values of d/D, the ejection begins at subsonic secondary flow condition. With the closure of the opening, the primary flow brings the normal shock downstream of the converging-diverging diffuser And the starting of the ejector continues even after the closure was removed.
