Improvement of Articulation Disorder Using Flexible Partial Denture in Intellectural Disability Patient with Missing Lower Incisors (하악 전치부 상실로 인한 조음장애를 보이는 경도 지적장애 환아에서 탄성의치를 통한 조음능력의 향상)

  • Speech is complex psycho-physiological mutual process which includes many orofacial organs. Especially, teeth play an especially important role as an articulation organ in conjunction with the lips and tongue. When teeth are missing, the position of tongue and mandible is adjusted to produce correct sound. If a patient's adaptive function is inadequate for modification of malocclusion, prosthodontic and orthodontic interventions are necessary. Missing teeth of young patients should be reconstructed bacause it can cause malocclusion, decreased masticatory efficiency, articulation disorders, esthetic problem, and temporomandibular disorder. Valplast$^{(R)}$(Valplast International Corp, New York, USA) flexible denture is useful for rehabilitation due to its excellent physical properties, esthetics, and small volume. This case is regardingan intellecturally disabled patient with anarticulation disorder caused by missing lower incisors due to trauma. The patient showed improvement in articulation by using flexible partial denture. The purpose of this report is to figure out the influence of missing lower anterior teeth on articulation.

The Effects of Student-Centered Instruction Using Analogy for Middle School Students' Learning of the Photosynthesis Concept (학생 중심 비유 활용 수업이 중학생의 광합성 개념 이해에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of student-centered instruction using analogies for middle school students' learning of the photosynthesis concept. Participants in this study were 8th grade students at a middle school in Seoul (N=132). The students were divided into two groups for implementation. In the experimental group the teaching materials containing analogies were used while the contents of a science textbook were taught in the control group. The results of this study indicated that student-centered instruction using analogies was more effective than traditional methods of instruction for understanding photosynthesis concepts and the students' attitude toward the science class. Analogies were also found to contribute to developing an understanding of the photosynthesis concept through activating students' prior knowledge, focusing on structural features of the target concept and elaborating knowledge. In addition, analogies play an important role in activating small group discussions, improving students' meta-cognitive skills, and revealing and revising of misconceptions about photosynthesis. Moreover, analogies can help improve students' interests and self-efficiency in science classes.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop and apply activity-centered STEM education program of electricity and electronics technology are in middle schools. The program was developed on the emphasis of problem solving in real world in relation to knowledge, attitude, and skill of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Basically the activity-centered STEM education program was developed through three steps of preparation, development and improvement. In the preparation stage the fellowing was included: (1) need analysis of student, educator, society (2) selection of integration type (3) analyzing subject matter of electricity, electronics area (4) establishing criteria for selecting activity tasks. In the development stage the fellowing was conducted: (1) selection of activity tasks (2) setting up educational goals (3) analyzing activity and clarifing the detailed activity (4) selecting program content, (5) organization of instructional content (6) statement of instructional objectives (7) structuring STEM education program In the improvement stage the fellowing was consisted of: (1) verification of validity by experts (2) execution of pilot test and field test by students and correction of program. The results of the applied the Activity-Based STEM Education Program to 'Afterschool' activities of S middle school were as follow: First, student' satisfaction level was high. Second, student' achievement in the cognitive domain, and affective domain was positive change. Third, student' problem solving ability was positive effect.

Effect of Education of Natural Disaster on Eco-friendly Attitude of Children in Integrated Class in the Lower Grades in Elementary School (자연재해 교육이 초등학교 저학년 통합학급 아동의 환경친화적 태도에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of education of natural disaster on eco-friendly attitude of children in integrated class in the lower grades in elementary school. For the above mentioned purpose, 2 children with developmental delay and 45 general children enrolled in two integrated classes in the first grade in C Elementary School located in G City. The class that wanted to participate in this program was designated as an experimental group and the other class as a comparative group. Total 18 times of session of experimental treatment were performed during the second semester of the first grade. The effect of education of natural disaster was measured by using the tool revised and adapted by Heoh, Yun Jeong on the basis of CATES-PV designed by Musser and Diamond. As results, it was appeared that education of natural disaster was effective to increase eco-friendly attitude of children in integrated class in the lower grades in elementary school. The results that ability and attitude which were goals of the current education related to environment such as love and concern for animals and plants, life respect consciousness, preference for natural environment rather than artificial environment, conservation of nature and resources saving etc of children who received education of natural disaster suggest necessity to rethink the meaning and scope about education of natural disaster for Korean children in the preset.

Development of Physician Coaching Model for Improvement of Patient-Doctor Communication (환자-의사 커뮤니케이션 개선을 위한 의사코칭 모델 개발)

  • Recently there is a heated debate going on regarding the patient-doctor communication in the medical schools and medical service sector. Patient-doctor communication is an interactive communication made during the consultation session which is known to bring positive effect to both the patient and the doctor. Through this research, a doctor coaching model was developed by combining a method that would help the patient and doctor communicate better by increasing the doctor's communication skill and a coaching mechanism. Through the research, the doctor coaching model consists of 5 levels. First is the 'relationship creation' which would cause the doctor's interest and expectations toward coaching mechanism. Second is 'recognition of change' and this would cause to understand the problem and pros of the doctor's communication with the patient and set a direction regarding the coaching. Third is 'understanding the perspective' and this would lead the doctor to think from the patient's perspective. Fourth is 'increasing problem solving and communication skills' and this would set specific terms as to how the doctor can improve his communication skills. Fifth is 'goal setting and support' where goal regarding the improvements can be set and agreement regarding the ways to maintain and strengthen the advantage can be made. The developed doctor coaching model is most meaningful in a way that it has first adapted a coaching mechanism to improve patient-doctor communication. Also in cases where such will be utilized in the future medical service sector, it is expected to affect greatly the doctor's communication skill and patient sympathizing skills. Hereby it will contribute in increasing the patient's treatment satisfaction.

Implementation and Experimentation of StyleJigsaw for Programming Beginners (프로그래밍 초보자를 위한 스타일직소의 구현과 실험)

  • Since the high readable source codes help us to understand and modify the program, it is much easy to maintain them. The readability of source code is not only affected by the complexity of algorithms such as control structures but also affected by the coding styles such as naming and indentation. Although various coding standards have been presented for promoting the readability of source codes, it has been usually lost or ignored in a programming course. One of the reasons is that the coding standard is not a hard-and-false rule since it does not contribute to the performance of software. In this paper, we propose a simple automatic system, namely StyleJigsaw, which checks the style of the source codes written by C/C++ or Java. In this system, the coding style score is calculated and visualized as a jigsaw puzzle. To measure the educational effectiveness of StyleJigsaw, several experiments have been conducted on a class students in C++ programming course. According to the experimental results, the coding style score increased about 8.0 points(10.9%) on average using StyleJigsaw. Further, according to a questionnaire survey targeting the students who attended the programming course, about 88.5% of the students responded that StyleJigsaw was of help to learn the coding standards. We expect that the StyleJigsaw can be effectively used to encourage the students to obey the coding standards, resulting in high readable programs.

A Comparison of Mathematically Gifted and Non-gifted Elementary Fifth Grade Students Based on Probability Judgments (초등학교 5학년 수학영재와 일반아의 확률판단 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to discover differences between mathematically gifted students (MGS) and non-gifted students (NGS) when making probability judgments. For this purpose, the following research questions were selected: 1. How do MGS differ from NGS when making probability judgments(answer correctness, answer confidence)? 2. When tackling probability problems, what effect do differences in probability judgment factors have? To solve these research questions, this study employed a survey and interview type investigation. A probability test program was developed to investigate the first research question, and the second research question was addressed by interviews regarding the Program. Analysis of collected data revealed the following results. First, both MGS and NGS justified their answers using six probability judgment factors: mathematical knowledge, use of logical reasoning, experience, phenomenon of chance, intuition, and problem understanding ability. Second, MGS produced more correct answers than NGS, and MGS also had higher confidence that answers were right. Third, in case of MGS, mathematical knowledge and logical reasoning usage were the main factors of probability judgment, but the main factors for NGS were use of logical reasoning, phenomenon of chance and intuition. From findings the following conclusions were obtained. First, MGS employ different factors from NGS when making probability judgments. This suggests that MGS may be more intellectual than NGS, because MGS could easily adopt probability subject matter, something not learnt until later in school, into their mathematical schemata. Second, probability learning could be taught earlier than the current elementary curriculum requires. Lastly, NGS need reassurance from educators that they can understand and accumulate mathematical reasoning.

Development of a Traffic Simulator for Evaluatiing the Traffic Management and Information System (교통관리 및 정보제공시스템 평가를 위한 모의실험모형에 관한 연구)

  • 본 논문은 ATMS와 ATIS에서 요구되는 교통관리 및 정보제공의 효과분석을 위해, 운전자의 주행 및 경로선택 의사결정과 교통제어에 대한 반응등 운전자 행태를 모의실험에 반영함으로써 교통시스템의 실시간 특성을 모사할 수 있는 모형을 구축하고 이를 기반으로 하는 미시적 교통 모의실험기를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구에서는 운전자, 차량, 교통망, 검지 및 신호시스템, 교통정보제공시스템 등을 교통시스템의 주요 구성요소로 설정하였으며 운전자 및 차량특성, 차두시간분포와 차량발생모형, 차량주행모형, 차로변경 및 간격수락모형, 경로선택모형을 주모의실험모형을 구성하는 부모형으로 결정하였다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 각각의 부모형들에 대한 최근의 연구결과들을 검토하고, 현실모사 능력과 함께 다른 부모형들과의 연계, 모의실험기의 구현상에서의 적합성 등을 고려하여 적정모형의 선정 및 수정, 새로운 부모형의 구축을 수행하였다. 구축된 부모형을 통합하여 교통모의실험기를 개발하였으며 구축된 모형의 타당성 및 적용성 검토를 위해 현장자료 및 가상자료를 이용한 검증을 수행하였다. 검증결과 모형의 목적인 교통제어 및 정보제공등의 시스템 대안의 평가에 이용 가능한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 본 논문의 연구결과는 교통제어 및 정보제공전략 대안의 평가뿐만 아니라 차량추종 및 차로변경 등의 미시적 교통모형 연구, 동적기종점 통행량 추정, 동적통행배정의 연구에도 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 본 논문의 연구모형은 현단계에서는 현실의 모사 및 분석을 위한 도구보다는 새로운 대안들간의 비교평가를 위한 도구로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 이에 따라 현실모사의 정확도를 확보하기 위한 검증 및 개선이 필요할 것이며, 각 부모형들에 대한 계속적인 연구와 새롭게 발표되는 연구결과를 수용한 지속적인 개발이 필요할 것이다.유기적인 연계에 있음을 밝히고 있다. 건설을 위한 정책적 시사점과 동북아 연구개발정보 Portal 및 APEC APGrid 연구망 등의 구체적인 정보인프라 구축방안을 도출하였다.술 주기를 도출하고, 산업 내 평균 권리 청구 항목 수를 이용하여 각 산업의 기술 범위를 비교하였다. 각각의 동적 분석을 통해 시간에 따른 변화 양상이 관찰하였고, ANOVA 분석을 이용하여 통계적 유의성을 검증하였다. 본 연구는 현재의 기술 패러다임 내에서 Pavitt이 제시한 산업 분류의 근거를 보충 설명하였고 특허 정보를 이용하여 기술혁신의 산업별 유형에 대한 폭넓은 분석방법을 제시하였다.별 시간대별 효과분석을 통하여 정책의 시행여부가 결정되어야 할 것이다. 한편, 화물전용차선의 설치로 인한 물류비용의 절감을 보다 효과적으로 달성하기 위해서는 종합류류 전산망의 시급한 구축과 함께 화물차의 적재율을 높이고 공차율을 낮출 수 있는 운송체계의 수립이 필요한 것으로 판단된다. 그라나 이러한 화물전용차선의 효과는 단기적인 치유책일 수밖에 없기 때문에 물류유통 시설의 확충을 위한 사회간접자본의 구축을 서둘러 시행하여야 할 것이다.으로 처리한 Machine oil, Phenthoate EC 및 Trichlorfon WP는 비교적 약효가 낮았다.>$^{\circ}$E/$\leq$30$^{\circ}$NW 단열군이 연구지역 내에서 지하수 유동성이 가장 높은 단열군으로 추정된다. 이러한 사실은 3개 시추공을 대상으로 실시한 시추공 내 물리검층과 정압주입시험에서도 확인된다.. 외상 후 스트레스 장애의 평가

  • 우리는 살아가면서 흔히 개인적으로 극심한 스트레스를 겪거나 불행히도 어떤 뜻밖의 재난이나 큰 사고를 경험할 수 있다. 이런 외상적 사건들을 겪고 대부분의 사람들은 잘 극복할 수 있으나 일부 사람들은 심각한 의상 후 스트레스 반응을 보여 그런 외상이 지나감에도 불구하고 괴로운 기억 속에서 그것을 회상시키는 활동과 상황을 피하며 늘 불안한 마음으로 몸은 현재에 살고 있지만 마음은 실상 과거에 매달려 있고 과거의 고통 속에서 헤어 나오지 못하고 있다. 외상 후 스트레스 장애는 다른 불안 장애, 우울증처럼 흔한 질환으로 사회생활에 큰 지장을 주며 삶의 질을 손상시킨다. 그렇지만 외상을 당한 당사자들이 이런 이야기를 하기 꺼려하고, 이런 사람들을 진료실에서 종종 만날 수 있는 임상가들도 외상의 심각성과 외상 후 스트레스 장애에 대한 인식이 부족하여, 우리 주위에 많은 사람이 외상 후 스트레스 장애로 고생하고 있지만 외상 후 스트레스 장애로 진단되는 경우가 실제보다 훨씬 적다. 따라서 외상 후 스트레스 장애에 대한 평가를 배움으로써 더 많은 환자들을 정확히 진단하며 다른 질환과의 감별을 쉽게 할 수 있고, 환자들의 고통과 어려움이 과연 무엇인지 잘 알 수 있으며, 치료 표적과 치료 전략을 정하고, 치료 계획을 세우는 데 도움을 얻을 수 있다. 평가 방법으로는 구조화된 면담, 평가 척도, 정신 생리적 측정법, 치료자의 임상적인 결정 등이 있다. 향후에는 외상 후 스트레스 장애의 증상 정도뿐만 아니라 일상생활, 사회적 관계, 직업적, 사회적 적응 및 기능에 미치는 영향도 같이 평가하는 도구들이 개발되고, 현재 개발된 많은 평가 척도들이 새로이 수정되고 표준화되어, 이런 평가 척도들을 통해 외상 후 스트레스 장애의 경과와 외상 후 스트레스 장애로 인한 정신 사회적 영향을 더 잘 알 수 있는 자료들이 많이 수집되길 바란다. 대칭이, 작은대칭이, 펄조개는 저질이 니질인 곳에서 주로 서식하고 있었고 귀이빨대칭이는 사니질과 사질에 주로 서식하고 있었다. 특히 삽교호 수계 채집된 귀이빨대칭이는 사니질과 사질의 저질에서 출현하였다.및 내장낭 조직들이 중요한 에너지 저장소이며, 영양 공급 기관임을 알 수 있었으며, 폐각근 조직과 내장낭 조직들의 영양물질 함량 변화는 생식소의 에너지 요구에 따라 변하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.. 따른 신장 기능에 대한 영향을 평가해 보아야 한다.하를 조사한 결과, 연간 진동해역으로 유입되는 오염부하량은 부유물질 기준으로 전체 37,316 ton/yr로 추정되었고, 이중 육지기원 부하량이 9,809 ton/yr (26.3%) 였고, 해역의 침강량 23,576 ton/yr (63.2%), 양식생물의 배설량이 3,932 ton/yr (10.5%) 로 대부분이 해역의 침강량에 의한 것으로 조사되었다. 육지오염부하량이 변동이 없다는 전제 조건 아래, 진동만의 피조개 채묘장을 미더덕 양식장으로 품종전환시킬 경우, 전체 부하량은 산술적으로 약 196%가 증가한 72,998 ton/yr 가 되고, 양식생물의 배설량은 10배 정도 증가하게 되어 진동만의 오염부하를 가중하게 된다. 진동만은 여름철 빈산소수괴 및 적조가 빈번하게 발생하고 있으므로 미더덕 양식장을 새로이 시설할 경우 오염부하가 가중될 것으로 판단되어, 앞으로 진동만의 양식장 수용능력을 파악하여 적정량의 양식물량이 시설되어야 할 것이다.25 psu에서 가장 높게 나타났다.인 단백뇨는 진행성 경과의 위험성을 동시에 암시해 주는 매우 유용한 지표이다. 본 연구 결과 학교 신체 검사상에서 발견된 단독 단백뇨의 주된 원인은 기립성 단백뇨로 81.8%를 차지하였다. 그러나 지속성 단백뇨의 경우 비록 9.1%의 빈도를 보였지만, 신장 조직검사를 시행한 결과 진행성 경과를 취할 수 있는

  • This study was performed to investigate the effects of embryo developmental stage and superoxide dismutase (SOD) on the survival of frozen-thawed porcine embryos by open pulled straw(OPS) method. Porcine IVF blastocysts were frozen-thawed by OPS method and cultured for 48 h under the existence of SOD. There are no significant differences in the proportions of normal morphology among the early, mid- and expanded blastoryst stages $(30.8{\sim}38.6%)$. After culture of embryos, the developmental rates to the expanded blastocyst stage(38.7%) were significantly higher than those of other stages (P<0.05). The proportions of expanded and hatched embryos were higher in medium with 1 unit/ml SOD than 0 and 10 units/ml of SOD. The result indicates that OPS method can use for the pig embryo cryopreservation, especially for the late stage blastocysts. SOD may can reduce the demage of frozen-thawed porcine embryos.
