  • This study utilized the Delphi technique to derive results by gathering opinions from experts, analyzing the problems in university survival swimming education, and seeking improvement methods. The conclusions of this study revealed several issues in university survival swimming education. From the perspective of instructors, the lack of expertise and certification in survival swimming was identified as a problem. From a program standpoint, discrepancies between educational content and real-world applications led to decreased practicality. Regarding facilities, the absence of swimming pools within universities was highlighted as a major issue. Proposed solutions included mandatory completion of instructor certification courses to address instructor-related issues. For program improvements, conducting education in environments similar to real-world scenarios was suggested. In terms of facilities, there was a call for expanding swimming facilities within universities. It is anticipated that addressing the identified problems and implementing proposed solutions will lead to more systematic and professional education. Furthermore, it is believed that addressing changeability and hopefulness, and continuously improving based on them, will positively impact the establishment of societal safety consciousness and, ultimately, enhance awareness of water safety.

  • Changes such as expanding nationwide road networks, 5-day work system and income increases triggered high interest in water leisure and an increase in water sports population. And safety regulations have been under discussion as a possible way to prevent the water leisure related accidents. Water Leisure Safety Regulation was enacted in 1999 and fully revised in 2005. Therefore, it is necessary to examine the current state cf water leisure activities and how the water leisure safety regulations are perceived. For this purpose, a survey of water leisure people was conducted on the revised safety regulation and relevance and correlation between variables were examined using Frequency analysis and Crosstabs. The results showed that more than $60\%$ of the people surveyed acknowledge the necessity of registration, safety instruction, insurance, and safety inspection. It was also found that the people who are highly dissatisfied with the safety of water leisure apparatus and acknowledge the necessity of insurance showed strong opinion of the necessity of legal controls on water leisure activities.

  • The interest of people is rising on water leisure and the population of water sports is increasing with expanded nationwide roads and 5-day work system for income elevation. However, there are many discussions about the way to prevent the accident related to water leisure activities. Water Leisure Safety Regulation was enacted in 1999 as a part of the way and revised in 2005. Therefore it needs to grasp the present state of water leisure activities and analyze the actual condition of consciousness. For the analysis. the question survey was conducted on water leisurers in the focus with regulation of the revised so that the degree of relevance and correlation between mutual variables were analyzed by Frequency and Crosstabs. From this study we found that more than $60\%$ of water leisurers thought registration, safety instruction, insurance, and safety inspection necessary and there was a characteristic common inclination to all for necessity to impose legal controls on water leisure activities as the level of dissatisfaction for water leisure apparatus and cognition for necessity of insurance was high.

  • Purpose: Bicycle riding is an increasingly popular sports and leisure activity in Korea. The aim of this study was to identify injury patterns of admitted patients who were injured from bicycle riding. Materials and Methods: This study examined 71 patients from Jan. 2008 to May 2009. There were 54 male and 17 female patients. We investigated the injured body parts, mechanisms of injury, location of injury, types of bicycles, purpose of bicycle riding, any concomitant luggage or passenger on rear seat, injury seasons and the helmet use. We analyzed the data using Injury Severity Score(ISS). Results: There were 11 cases of ISS 1, 41 cases of ISS 4, 2 cases of ISS 5, 13 cases of ISS 9, one case of ISS 13, two cases of ISS 16 and one case of ISS 29 among the 71 patients. 36 patients(50.7%) underwent surgery for upper and lower extremity injuries, two patients for vertebral body fractures, 8 patients for facial bone injuries and one patient for abdominal organ injury. There were 10 head injuries among whom three patients received treatment in ICU(4.2%). Conclusion: Bicycle riding can cause severe injuries with subsequent admission and major surgeries. Several measures including constructing more bicycle road, public campaign and wearing protective gears should be instituted.

  • This study aimed to analyze the changes in underwater anxiety and water safety consciousness among college students through participation in survival swimming education and the relationship between these changes and various factors. To achieve this, 200 college students who were participating in survival swimming education from universities located in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region were selected as participants using convenience sampling. Among them, a final valid sample of 191 students was utilized. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS 25.0 statistical software, including exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, paired sample t-test, repeated measures ANOVA. The results are as follows: Firstly, college students who participated in survival swimming education showed a decrease in post-test underwater anxiety and an increase in water safety consciousness compared to pre-test. Secondly, the interaction between the groups based on the presence or absence of swimming education experience and time showed a significant effect only in the safety education, a sub-factor of water safety consciousness. Based on these results, the effectiveness of survival swimming education for college students could be confirmed, and further directions for expanding survival swimming education in university settings could be considered.

  • In this research, to identify the degree of preference and participation in leisure sports, over 19-year-old adults living in the capital region were collected as subjects, and among them, 250 persons were chosen by purposive sampling method. Using SPSSWIN 16.0, I analyzed the collected data by reliability analysis, paired sample t-test, PPA(preference performance analysis) method. The conclusion is the following. First, the first quadrant showed wind surfing, skins-cuba, water-ski, and yacht, and as a result of this, it is necessary to improve the degree of participation in this field, the second quadrant showed golf, racketball snow board, ski, fishing, and climbing, and these field need to specific attention to maintain continuous attention, for they have a great deal of attendance, the third quadrant, showed water sleigh, cart, balloon, sky-diving, orienteering, hang gliding, model plane, and survival game. As the degree of preference and participation in these sports is low, it is recommended that more effort should be made for these sports. Finally, in the forth quadrant, there are tracking, mountain bike, inline skates, rafting, and cycling. As it's the participation is high, while that of preference is low, it is important to maintain the policy of the participation in leisure sports. Sencondly, the degree of preference and participation in leisure sport activicties acording to socio demographic characteristics differentiate.

The actual condition is that an interest and participation rate especially in water leports during the summer increases. And needs for various hull design of standardized boat for water leisure increase. Therefore, this paper is intended to develop a recommendation system to design a boat for water leisure by using the collaborative filtering technique in order to make it possible to actively cope with the change of various customer needs for hull design. To this end, emotion relating to kayak design was selected through consumer survey, and emotion was derived by factor analysis and assessment, and then a kayak design layout in the aspect of customer's emotional preference was presented. Besides, an analysis was made according to the elements such as hull, body, and propulsion system of kayak in order to select emotional words according to the kayak design reflecting user's preference, and then a boat model for water leisure in conformance with user's preference was presented.

  • Lumbar disc herniation in the adolescent is rare. The clinical features of adolescent lumbar disc herniation are typically different from those of adults. Many adolescent with that disease may be misdiagnosed as minor trauma, muscle sprain, tight hamstrings or scoliosis. Published series reiterate that adolescents, as opposed to adults, do not respond well to conservative treatment. In adolescent lumbar disc herniation with hamstring tightness, the neurologic defects are improved shortly after, discectomy, but the hamstring tightness continue and remain even after 1 year. Earlier discectomy and adjunct postsurgical conservative measures can provide a greater opportunity for correction and stabilization of scoliotic posture. We here report on a case of adolescent lumbar disc herniation that was misdiagnosed by knee injury during 2 years. After posterior partial discectomy, the hamstring tightness and scoliosis was disappeared without complication.
