  • HPA is one of the most essential device in wireless communication systems. However, because of nonlinear characteristic of HPA transmit signal is distorted with both amplitude and phase, this distortion leads to deepening adjacent channel interference. So a technique to change the nonlinear characteristic with linear characteristic is needed. In this paper, Among all techniques, we adopts a polynomial pre-distortion technique. Pre-distorted signal by pre-distorter has opposite characteristic with HPA. In result, the signal passed through pre-distorter and HPA has linear characteristic. But the accuracy of opposite characteristic of HPA is decreased at near portion of saturation point. So we improve the accuracy of opposite characteristic of HPA by using PAPR reduction method. In this paper, an adaptive polynomial pre-distortion technique is introduced to counterbalance the nonlinear characteristic of the transmit power amplifier, and a PAPR reduction method is introduced to increase efficiency of polynomial pre-distorter.

  • This note describes an application of Hamiton's principle to nonlinear free-surface flow problems. Two functionals are constructed based on classical Hamilton's principle with a modification due to the presence of a free surface. As an effort towards the development of an efficient numerical scheme for our problem, we present the following three test results: i) The bounding principles of the eigenvalues for the linear dispersion relation. ii) By assuming steady solitary waves, an approximate relation between the amplitudes and the speeds of solitary waves are derived from the two functionals constructed. Their numerical results are compared with those of Longuet-Higgins & Fenton(1974). iii) The shapes and charicteristics of solitary waves are computed from two sets of functionals by varying the number of total finite elements in the fluid domain.

  • This paper related with the performance comparison of mSE-MMA and mDSE-MMA adaptive equalization algorithm which is possible to reduce the intersymbol interference that occurs in the nonlinear communication channel transmitting 16-QAM signal. This two algorithm is possible to reduce the computational load compared to the current MMA algorithm, it has the degraded equalization performance due to simplified arithmetic in order to applying the mobile communication terminal. In order to improve the performance degradation, they controls the step size according to the existence of arbitrary radius circle of equalizer output compared to transmitted symbol point. The variation of step size according to this principle is applied to the SE-MMA and DSE-MMA, namely mSE-MMA and mDSE-MMA algorithm, the algorithm's performance were compared in the same channel and noise environment by computer simulation. As a result of simulation, the mSE-MMA has more superior to the mDSE-MMA in residual value of every performance index and SER performance, and the vice versa result in convergence speed.

  • This paper evaluates the performance of CCA (Compact Constellation Algorithm) adaptive equalization algorithm by varying the step size for minimization of the distortion effect in the communication channel. The CCA combines the conventional DDA and RCA algorithm, it uses the constant modulus of the transmission signal and the considering the output of decision device by the power of compact slice weighting value in order to improving the initial convergence characteristics and the equalization noise by misadjustment in the steady state. In this process, the compact slice weight values were fixed, and the performance of CCA adaptive equalization algorithm was evaluated by the varing the three values of step size for adaptation. As a result of computer simulation, it shows that the smaller step size gives slow convergence speed, but gives excellent performance after at steady state. Especially in SER performance, the small step size gives more robustness that large values.

  • In this paper, we propose a guidance law to control Impact Angle in consideration of look angle limit of the missile with strapdown seeker on the non-maneuvering target. The proposed law is based on sliding mode algorithm and generates acceleration commands using look angle and line of sight information provided by the strapdown seeker and navigation system. And, target velocity and target path angle are provided by like TADS (Target Acquisition and Designation System) at launch time. We can confirm that the target interception and impact angle control are possible through the convergence of the proposed sliding surface. In addition, it is possible to confirm that the sign of derivative result of the look angle at the maximum and minimum look angle is opposite to the sign of the look angle, so the look angle limit is not exceeded.

  • With the advance of digital IT technology, the performance of the printing and scanning devices is improved and their price becomes cheaper. As a result, the public can easily access these devices for crimes such as forgery of official and private documents. Therefore, if we can identify which printing device is used to print the documents, it would help to narrow the investigation and identify suspects. In this paper, we propose a deep learning model for printer identification. A convolutional neural network model based on local features which is widely used for identification in recent is presented. Then, another model including a step to calculate global features and hence improving the convergence speed and accuracy is presented. Using 8 printer models, the performance of the presented models was compared with previous feature-based identification methods. Experimental results show that the presented model using local feature and global feature achieved 97.23% and 99.98% accuracy respectively, which is much better than other previous methods in accuracy.

  • This paper compare the performance of CM-MMA (Constellation Matching-MMA) and RMMA (Region-based MMA) blind equalization algorithm for improve the QoS by minimizing the intersymbol interference that is occurred in nonlinear communication channel when transmitting the QAM signal. In the tap coefficient update for adaptive, CM-MMA use the error of nonconstant modulus signal adding the current MMA cost fuction and constellation matching error terms of sinusoidal power function, and the RMMA use the error by transfoms the nonconstant modulus signal of equalizer output constellation to 4-QAM constant modulus signal. They has different equalization performance by these error signal, it were compared in this paper by simulation, and performance index such as output signal constellation of equalizer, residual isi, maximum distortion, SER curves are applied for this. As a result of computer simulation, the RMMA has more better performance in the every performance index, convergence speed, residual value, noise robustness compared to CM-MMA.

  • In this study, the effect of physico-chemical factors (e.g., pressure, electrolyte, and organic matter) in the gas hydrate deposit on CH4-CO2 replacement process was investigated experimentally. The higher initial pressure during gas injection led the higher reaction rate at the first time, but finally it did not. Electrolytes and organic matter have some effects on reforming process after dissociation of gas hydrate. It is expected that further research using real marine sediments with actual gas hydrate will enable the development of technologies applicable to the characteristics of domestic seabed geology. Ultimately, it is expected that it will be possible to recover and utilize methane as an organic resource through application of domestic gas hydrate deposit in the Ulleung Basin, East Sea.

Also Daegu Metropolitan City has contributed greatly to the expansion of Korea's import and export trade and the growth of the national economy. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of major factors affecting GRDP in Daegu Metropolitan City through regression analysis. For this purpose, this study uses the Vector Error Correction Model(VECM) to estimate the long-run equilibrium function that affects the GRDP in Daegu Metropolitan City. This study is meaningful in that it uses the statistics related to Daegu provided by Province of Gyeongsangbuk-do and explains the dynamic characteristics of major factors affecting the GRDP in Daegu.

  • In this paper, interacting multiple model (IMM) filter was designed that guarantees a stable navigation performance even in the unstable satellite navigation position. In order to design IMM filter in INS / GPS integrated navigation system, sub filter of the IMM filter is defined as Kalman filter. In the IMM filter configuration, two subfilters are determined. Each Kalman filter defines the six-teenth state composed of position, velocity, attitude, and sensor error from the INS error equation and the states additionally derived in case of the coloured measurement noise. In order to verify the performance of the proposed filter, we compared the performance how the filter works in the presence of arbitrary error in GPS navigation solution. The Monte Carlo simulation was performed 100 times and the results were compared with the root mean square(RMS). The results show that the proposed method is stable against errors and show fast convergence.
