The Effects of Object Size and Reaching Distance on Upper Extremity Movement (물체 크기와 뻗기 거리가 상지 움직임에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of object size and reaching distance on kinematic factors of the upper limb while performing arm reaching for normal subjects. Methods : The subjects of this study were 30 university students who were in D university in Busan, and the measuring tool was CMS-70P(Zebris Medizintechnik Gmbh, Germany), a three-dimensional motion analyzer. The task had six conditions. The average velocity of motion, average acceleration, maximum velocity, and the velocity definite number of movements were measured according to changes in object size(2cm, 10cm) and reaching distance(15%, 37.5%, 60%) when they performed arm reaching. The general characteristics of the subject were technical statistics. One-way ANOVA measurement was used to compare variables when the arm reaching task was performed from two object sizes to three reaching distance, and the post-test was conducted with Tukey test. In addition, an independent t-test was used to analyze the kinematic differences according to the two object sizes at three reaching distances. A two-way ANOVA measurement (3×2 Two-way ANOVA measurement) was performed to identify the interaction of the reaching distance(15%, 37.5%, 60%) and the object size(2cm, 10cm). The statistical significance level α was set to .05. Results : When the size of the object increased, the velocity and maximum velocity also increased, but the definite number of velocity decreased. When the reaching distance increased, the velocity and maximum velocity increased, whereas the definite number of velocity decreased. Conclusion : The clinical significance of this study could be utilized as the baseline data for grading object size and reaching distances when the reaching training is implemented for patients whose central nervous system was damaged.

  • Korean High Speed Train(KHST) has been tested on the high speed test line in Osung site, since it was developed through the G7 Project Plan in 2002. It was also tested on the conventional line such as KyongBu and Honan Line to know the possibility of increasing the limited speed for the high speed trains. This paper introduces the method to improve the speed on the conventional line with body lateral acceleration among the several considered issues and explains the parameters related to those analysis, such as the cant deficiency, the radius of curve, speed and etc. When a train pass on the curved track, the lateral accelerations of body are divided into the quasi-static and the maximum accelerations according to the UIC 518 which is the international specification for testing and approval of railway vehicles from the point of view of their dynamic behaviour, especially for safety and ride comfort. This paper shows that it is safe and comfort from the results of test when KHST runs on the conventional line with the curves and proposes that the limited speed of conventional curved line could be changed to a little higher speed if the analysises of other fields are completed.

Design of Navigation Filter for Underwater Glider (수중글라이더용 항법필터 설계)

  • In this paper, we design a navigation filter for an underwater glider. Underwater gliders are low-cost, reusable, and can be used for a long time. Two types of filters are designed considering characteristics such as small size, low cost, and low power. The navigation filter estimates the reference velocity of the underwater glider's body frame based on the minimum sensor output. The sensor configuration of the first filter consists of an accelerometer, a magnetometer, and a depth sensor. the second filter include extra a gyroscope in the same configuration. The estimated velocity is fused with the attitude, converted into the velocity of the navigation frame and finally the position is estimated. To analyze the performance of the proposed filter, analysis was performed using Monte Carlo numerical analysis method, and the results were analyzed with standard deviation (1σ). Standard deviations of each filter's position error are 334.34m, 125.91m.

  • 일반적으로 관성계 내의 물체에 대한 동적특성의 파악을 위해서는 속도, 가속도 및 각속도, 각가속도에 대한 정보를 필요로 하며 자이로는 이중에서 각속도를 측정하는 장치이다. 운동하는 질량에 회전각속도가 인가될 때 발생되는 코리올리힘을 측정하여 회전각속도를 검출하는 개념의 각속도 센서인 진동자이로는 성능이 회전형 자이로에 비해 떨어지나 구조가 간단하고 소형이며 대량생산이 가능한 장점이 있다. 진동자이로의 효시로는 1950년 영국의 Sperry Gyroscope Company의 "Gyroton"이며, 전자기력을 이용한 가진과 측정이 그 특징으로서 실험실 조건에서 지구의 자전속도를 측정할 수 있었다. 그후 1960년대에 General Electric에서 "VYRO"라는 모델을 개발했는데 압전소자를 이용하여 가진과 측정을 하는 방법이 사용되었다. 1980년대에 Watson Ind., Soderkvist등은 센서자체가 압전물질로 만들어진 자이로를 실험하였고 1990년도에 들어서는 진동자이로의 원리를 마이크로 머시닝 기술과 연계시켜서 소형 경량화와 대량생산을 목표로 연구가 일부 진행되고 있다. 현재 제품화되어 실제 응용되고 있는 예로는 무라다사의 삼각프리즘 형태의 자이로, 토킨사의 원통형 자이로 등이 있으며 이러한 자이로는 캠코더 화면의 안정화 장치에 주로 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 압전소자의 압전, 전왜 방정식으로 출발하여 자이로헤드의 동적 거동을 해석하였다. 진동자이로는 물체의 공진주파수에서의 진동현상을 이용하며, 두 방향의 고유진동수를 일치시켜야 하는 등의 설계조건이 있다. 이러한 조건을 만족하도록 사각보 구조를 기본으로 하여 새로운 형태의 자이로헤드를 고안하였다. 자이로헤드의 구동회로를 설계, 해석하고 각속도를 측정할 수 있는 검출회로를 설계하여 설계된 진동자이로의 동적 특성을 확인하고 보정회로를 이용하여 사용 주파수 영역을 넓혔다.이용하여 사용 주파수 영역을 넓혔다.러한 강이성들이 보장되는 제어이론들 중 H$_{\infty}$ 제어이론이 많이 연구/응용 되고 있다. 특히 공칭 플랜트 모델과 함께 사용되는 플랜트 모델과 함께 사용되는 플랜트 불확실성 모델은 직접적으로 성능 및 안정도에 영향을 미치므로 주의 깊게 선정해야 한다. 방법의 실질적인 적용에는 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 방법들의 단점을 극복할 수 있는 새로운 회귀적 모우드 변수 규명 방법을 개발하였다. 이는 Fassois와 Lee가 ARMAX모델의 계수를 효율적으로 추정하기 위하여 개발한 뱉치방법인 Suboptimum Maximum Likelihood 방법[5]를 기초로 하여 개발하였다. 개발된 방법의 장점은 응답 신호에 유색잡음이 존재하여도 모우드 변수들을 항상 정확하게 구할 수 있으며, 또한 알고리즘의 안정성이 보장된 것이다.. 여기서는 실험실 수준의 평 판모델을 제작하고 실제 현장에서 이루어질 수 있는 진동제어 구조물에 대 한 동적실험 및 FRS를 수행하는 과정과 동일하게 따름으로써 실제 발생할 수 있는 오차나 error를 실험실내의 차원에서 파악하여 진동원을 있는 구조 물에 대한 진동제어기술을 보유하고자 한다. 이용한 해마의 부피측정은 해마경화증 환자의 진단에 있어 육안적인 MR 진단이 어려운 제한된 경우에만 실제적 도움을 줄 수 있는 보조적인 방법으로 생각된다.ofile whereas relaxivity at high field is not affected by τS.   • This paper deals with the analysis of the inner-loop algorithm of the Pixhawk which is a representative multi-copter open source. The algorithm is based on flight control-law structure. The inner-loop algorithm of the Pixhawk can be divided into a position controller and an attitude controller. The position controller generates the attitude of the multi-copter to move to the destination The position controller also generates the demand force and moment acting on each actuator. We confirm that the position controller saturates the desired acceleration and speed by using a proper relational expression. The expression can be used in order to prevent the sudden change in the attitude of a multi-copter.

Real-Time Object Recognition Using Local Features (지역 특징을 사용한 실시간 객체인식)

  • Automatic detection of objects in images has been one of core challenges in the areas such as computer vision and pattern analysis. Especially, with the recent deployment of personal mobile devices such as smart phone, such technology is required to be transported to them. Usually, these smart phone users are equipped with devices such as camera, GPS, and gyroscope and provide various services through user-friendly interface. However, the smart phones fail to give excellent performance due to limited system resources. In this paper, we propose a new scheme to improve object recognition performance based on pre-computation and simple local features. In the pre-processing, we first find several representative parts from similar type objects and classify them. In addition, we extract features from each classified part and train them using regression functions. For a given query image, we first find candidate representative parts and compare them with trained information to recognize objects. Through experiments, we have shown that our proposed scheme can achieve resonable performance.

  • Safe blast criteria based on the concept of scaled distances can be obtained from the statistical analysis on measured peak particle velocity data of blast vibrations. Two types of scaled distance widely used in Korea are the square root scaled distance (SRSD) and cube root scaled distance (CRSD). In contrast to SRSD scheme, however, the function of maximum charge per delay for CRSD increases without bound after the intersection point of these two functions despite of the similar goodness of fits. To prevent structural damage that may be caused by the excessive charge in the case of CRSD, it is suggested that CRSD be used within a specified distance slightly beyond the intersection point. On the other hand, there are several attempts that predict vibration level(VL) from the peak particle velocity(PPV) or estimate VL based on the scaled distances without considering their frequency spectra. It appears that these attempts are conducted in blasting contracts only for the purpose of satisfying the environment-related law, which mainly deals with the annoyance aspects of noises and vibrations in human life. But, in principle there could no correlation between peaks of velocity and acceleration over entire frequency spectrum. Therefore, such correlations or estimations should be conducted only between the waves with the same or very similar frequency spectra. Finally, it is a known fact that structural damage due to ground vibration is related to PPV level, the safety level criteria for structures should be defined by allowable PPV levels together with their zero crossing frequencies (ZCF).

Encapsulation of OLEDs Using Multi-Layers Consisting of Digital CVD $Si_3N_4$ and C:N Films

  • 여러 장점으로 인해 OLED는 디스플레이 및 조명 등 적용분야가 넓어지고 있지만, 수분 및 산소에 취약하여 그 수명이 제한되는 단점이 있다. 이를 해결하고자 현재까지는 glass cap을 이용한 encapsulation 기술이 적용되고 있지만, flexible 기판에 적용하지 못하는 문제가 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하고자 여러 가지 thin film encapsulation 기술이 적용되고 있으나 보다 신뢰성이 높은 기술의 개발이 절실한 때이다. Encapsulation 무기 박막 물질로서 $Si_3N_4$ 박막은 PE-CVD (Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) 등의 박막 증착법을 사용한 많은 연구가 진행되어, 저온에서의 좋은 품질의 박막 증착이 가능하지만, 100도 이하의 thermal budget을 갖는 OLED Encapsulation에 사용하기에는 충분하지 않았다. CVD 박막의 특성을 더욱 개선하기 위해 최근 ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition) 방법을 통한 $Al_2O_3$ film 증착 방법이 연구되고 있지만, 낮은 증착 속도로 인해 양산에 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 또 다른 해결책으로서 Digital CVD 방법을 이용한 양질의 $Si_3N_4$ 박막의 증착을 연구하였다. 이것은 ALD 증착법과 유사하며, 1st step에서 PECVD 방법으로 4~5 ${\AA}$의 얇은 silicon 박막을 증착하고, 2nd step에서 nitrogen plasma를 이용하여 질화 반응을 진행하고, 이러한 cycle을 원하는 두께가 될 때까지 반복적으로 진행된다. 이 때 1 cycle 당 증착속도는 7 ${\AA}$/cycle 정도였다. 최적의 증착 방법과 조건으로 기존의 CVD $Si_3N_4$ 박막 대비 1/5 이하로 pinhole을 최소화 할 수는 있지만 완벽하게 제거하기는 힘든 문제가 있고, 이를 해결하기 위한 개선을 위한 접근 방법이 필요하다고 판단하였다. 본 연구에서는 무기물 박막인 carbon nitride를 이용한 SiN/C:N multilayer 증착 연구를 진행하였다. Fig. 1은 CVD 조건으로 증착된 두께 750 nm SiN film에서 여러 층의 C:N film layer를 삽입했을 때, 38 시간의 85%/$85^{\circ}C$ 가속실험에 따라 OLED의 발광 사진이다. 그림에서 볼 수 있듯이 C:N 층을 삽입하고 또한 그 박막의 수가 증가함에 따라서 OLED에 대한 encapsulation 특성이 크게 개선됨을 확인할 수 있다.

  • This paper discusses the design of a working system that visually recognizes hand gestures for the control of a window based user interface. We present a method for tracking the fingertip of the index finger using a single camera. Our method is based on CAMSHIFT algorithm and performs better than the CAMSHIFT algorithm in that it tracks well particular hand poses used in the system in complex backgrounds. We describe how the location of the fingertip is mapped to a location on the monitor, and how it Is both necessary and possible to smooth the path of the fingertip location using a physical model of a mouse pointer. Our method is able to track in real time, yet not absorb a major share of computational resources. The performance of our system shows a great promise that we will be able to use this methodology to control computers in near future.

A Dynamic Simulation for Small Turboshaft Engine with Free Power Turbine Using The CMF Method (CMF 기법을 이용한 소형 분리축 방식 터보축 엔진의 동적모사)

  • A steady-state and dynamic simulation program for a small multi-purpose turboshaft engine with the free power turbine was developed. In order to reduce developing cost, time and risk, a turbojet engine whose performance was well-known was used for the gas generator, and life time was improved by replacing turbine material and by using Larson-Miller curves. The component characteristic of the power turbine was derived from scaling the gas generator turbine. Equilibrium equations of mass flow rate and work were used for the steady-state performance analysis, and the Constant Flow Method(CMF) was used for the dynamic performance simulation. The step fuel scheduling was carried out for acceleration in the dynamic simulation. Through this simulation, it was found that the overshoot of the turbine inlet temperature exceeded over the compressor turbine limit temperature.
