  • Data produced during scientific and technical activities usually have value as standard reference data (SRD) which is a well-documented numeric value assessed for reliability and accuracy. The main criteria in the evaluation for SRD is how well their production is documented including a sample preparation, measurement method, data processing and so on, other than reference data. SRD is represented as a certified numeric value with uncertainty. In this study, the SRD in the area of material properties was introduced to provide understanding of SRD and its evaluation method. Also the national SRD system was studied. The national SRD system is composed of the center for the SRD, the data centers, and the committee. The role and task of those components were studied. The legislational and systematic supports for the system were proposed in this study.

  • This study aims to analyze the current status of e-book management and services in academic libraries and identify related issues in the provision of the services. To do that, it performed case studies with A and B university libraries. E-book usage statistics was collected from each library and interviews were conducted with librarians responsible for e-book management and services. The interviews included questions regarding obstacles to e-book management and services and current issues as well as budget and acquisition, access and catalogues, usage, and marketing for e-books. The results show that in both libraries, the usage of e-books is low compared with that of printed books and the usage of e-books has declined recently. This is because of lack of new books with shortage of budget. Also, the most important issue surrounding e-book services is academic library evaluation, enacted by Academic Library Promotion Act in 2015. This study discussed how the criteria for academic library evaluation influence the way the academic libraries acquire and manage e-books.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the differences in self-efficacy, clinical performance ability, and critical thinking disposition after applying education integrated educational virtual reality simulation to training and outside school clinical practice to nursing college students and to provide them as basic data for effective practical education. This study was conducted from June 8 to July 3, 2020, and enrolled in the 3rd year of university in G city, and 30 subjects who did not receive virtual reality simulation training or outside school clinical training at all. Data were analyzed by Paired t-test. As a result of the study, the result of pretest and posttest to each group showed statistically significant improvements in self-efficacy, clinical performance ability, and critical thinking disposition. As a results of the study, education integrating virtual reality simulation training and clinical practice for nursing students to improves clinical performance ability, improves critical thinking, and self-efficacy, so it is thought that various virtual reality simulation training must be suitable for clinical situations before practice is necessary.

  • S. komarovii is halophyte that grows in soil or waters of high salinity, such as in saline semi-deserts, sloughs and seashores. Traditionally, S. komarovii has been used for food and medicinal purposes in Korea. S. komarovii was extracted in 70% ethanol to measure anti-oxidative activity using DPPH and ABTS assay. The IC50 values of the S. komarovii extract against DPPH radicals and ABTS radicals were 186.10 mg/mL and 121.89 mg/mL. In addition, total polyphenol and reducing power were measured. The S. komarovii extract exhibited superior polyphenolic (22.5%) and antioxidant (28.4%) contents. Regarding cell bioactivity, MTT assay was conducted to reveal cytotoxicity of S. komarovii extract and showed the non-cytotoxicity of S. komarovii extract. Anti-inflammatory and skin whitening effects were measured at 100 ㎍/mL. Therefore, this study suggests that the S. komarovii extract can be used as a functional cosmetic product material.

  • The general flatbed printer system is composed of a PC and a dedicated S/W, which is inconvenient to use. In the end, there is a need for a technology that can easily and conveniently use various types of printing through simplification, smartization, etc. of a flatbed printer system configuration. That is, there is an increasing demand for multi-dimensional printer capable of printing on various types of materials with one printer and capable of printing various types of products. Therefore, in this paper, we developed a flatbed printer system capable of multi-dimensional printing using Head Encoder/Trigger control. To this end, we developed a flatbed printer that connects the internal module of the flatbed printer with an input type detection sensor and controls all operating states by the head encoder and head trigger signals of the printer through separate main controllers. Through this, the development and diffusion of IoT technology will expand the printer control of the smart environment to the developed form throughout the industry. It is expected to contribute to the development of the 3D printing industry in the future.
