This study examined the social discourse on consumer boycott and explored consumer experience using text mining of mass media and social media data and the in-depth interview. The result showed that the topics of online news related to the boycott included the causes of the boycott, the responses of each actor in the process of the boycott, and the effects of the boycott. In the result of the in-depth interviews, it was found that the boycott has been decentralized and the participants had the experience of exploring and verifying information on their own. In the boycott process, there were mixed experiences due to the absence of substitutes and the marketing influence, and positive experiences of expressing one's thoughts and strengthening beliefs through the boycott.
This study investigates customer satisfaction with full service carriers (FSC) and low cost carriers (LCC) using social media sentiment evaluation. From 2008 to 2016, a total of 77,591 tweets about two FSC and six LCC were aggregated and classified as per airline choice factors. Sentiment evaluation was employed to assess customer satisfaction by three appraisers. The results showed that customer satisfaction with LCC was significantly higher (p<0.001) compared to FSC. Furthermore, overall customer satisfaction with both FSC and LCC has been facing a consistent downward trend since the last seven years. The results also highlighted low customer satisfaction with respect to booking and flight operation factors, and a steep decline in customer satisfaction across booking, onboard services, and marketing factors for FSC. The results of this study have practical implications for the airline industry, which can use this quantitative data to improve customer satisfaction with FSC and LCC.

This study deals with the factors influencing acceptance of social media-based smart commerce service through personal innovativeness by quantitative empirical research method. Researchers have viewed that personal innovativeness affects the aesthetic criteria, hedonic value, economic value, and subjective norms, which are subdivided elements of emotion and characteristics. The hypothesis is that the emotional and characteristics variables affect the variables such as purchase intention and word of mouth intention of the TAM and the post acceptance model (PAM). The research model proposed in this study is a integrated model of proven models in previous studies, and it is expected that there will be a theoretical and practical contribution of research. The researchers hope that this study will make a significant contribution to the industry and policy in dealing with the acceptance of smart commerce services emerging in the area of e-commerce and social media marketing.

The objective of this research is to suggest how to keep the continuous customers and how to build business model and marketing strategy. In detail, this research aims to closely examine the relationship among SNS quality(service quality, information quality, system quality) for airline customers, relational benefit(social benefits, psychological benefit, customization benefit, economic benefit) and customer satisfaction. As a result, if SNS quality is getting better, relational benefit better is higher. Specifically service information quality is more impactive to relational benefit than system quality. The effect of psychological customization benefits from SNS quality is the strongest to customer satisfaction of all factors. To conclude, the results of this research can be the guideline when designing marketing strategies for airline customers and for traditional tourism customers who use SNS.
As the number of online social networking service (SNS) users is increasing, various efforts are being deployed to take advantage of SNS from the perspective of business and management. Especially, researches in the field of marketing such as word-of-mouth (WOM) effect have been actively conducted. This paper examined the impact of the SNS messages of users' friends on the users' attitude and the moderating effect of the friends' opinion leadership on the WOM effect. Fifty-one Facebook users responded to the questions on their four friends each. Regression analyses showed that there existed WOM effect under the SNS environment and the opinion leadership of the message creators positively moderated the WOM effect. We discussed the contributions and implications of this study.
We proposed a marketing plan for the performing arts venue using realistic contents(VR, AR, and MR). The venue is a place where the audience can experience the performance directly. The marketing plan of the performance venue is as follows. Firstly, it is a marketing strategy that utilizes an arrangement of venue seats. It is possible to predict for watching a performance at angle and sight in performance venue seats that audience want through VR. This allows the theatre seats to be experienced in advance with the VR contents inducing the reservation of the seats with a high sense of immersion. Secondly, it is a marketing using PR and AD of performing arts through MR in the space with a large transient population. It is possible to promote dynamic promotion utilizing the sense of the presence of performing arts compared with existing static promotion means. Thirdly, it is a marketing strategy that utilizes actor characters in performance. The audience could be interested in the performing arts in advance via a preview of the AR contents of the pamphlet. Fourthly, it is a way to communicate with customers directly by establishing a VR social network to manage venue members. This will help attract an audience to revitalize the theatre venue.
The role of influentials to maximize word-of-mouth effect can be seen to be very important. In this paper, we have the perspective of corporate marketing to understand Twitter influentials. We start from the point of view of who can induce eventually most exposure of tweets when he tweets the company's specific marketing messages. From this perspective, we observe both the follower influentials who have many followers and the retweet influentials who induce many retweets by visualizing graphs from network data collected via Twitter Search API. Although some users have small followers they may bring much more exposure than follower influentials if they can induce retweets by follower influentials. On the contrary, some retweet influentials who don't induce retweets by follower influentials may bring very little exposure. This suggests the fact that some small users who can induce retweets by influentials might have more important role than influentials themselves in order to increase the exposure of tweets. These users also are seen to have high centrality measures in the network structure.
This study analyzed user reviews of Dongbaekjeon and Incheoneum app, which are representative local currencies in Korea, to identify the positive/negative factors of local currency users, and established a marketing strategy based on this. App user reviews were classified into positive and negative based on the star rating, and word cloud, topic modeling, and social network analysis were performed, respectively. As a result, in the negative reviews of Dongbaekjeon and Incheoneum, dissatisfaction with app use and card issuance appeared in common. In positive reviews, keywords such as 'local economy' and 'small business owners' along with satisfaction with 'cashback' appeared. It means that local currency users perceived that their consumption support local economy, and they felt satisfaction in using local currency. Based on the satisfaction/dissatisfaction factors identified as a result of the analysis of this study, we identified what needs to be improved and to be strengthened, and appropriate marketing strategies were established. The text mining method used in this study and research results can provide meaningful information about local currencies to public officials and marketers in charge of local currencies.
