Imaging of the Small Airway Diseases (소기도 질환의 영상소견)

  • "소기도"라 일컬어지는 해부학적 부위는 말단부 막성 세기관지와 호흡성 세기관지로 구성된 직경 3 mm 이하의 기도부위이다. 방사선학적으로는 고해상 전산화단층촬영(CT)에서 흉막직하의 직경 약 1.0 cm으로 이루어진 2차 소엽내의 중심부에 위치하게 된다. 그러므로 이 부위의 질환때에는 중심소엽성 세기관지내의 가득찬 물질로 인해 나타나는 중심소엽성 결절들과 선상음영들이 보인다. 이외의 소견으로는 중심소엽성 폐기종, 모자이크 모양의 폐음영, 분절하 무기폐등이 있고, 호기시 CT 촬영에서 나타나는 공기포획이 있다. 최근에는 다검출기형식의 CT (multidetector CT)의 발전으로 인하여 이차원 재구성 (2 dimension reformat) 관상면, 시상면 CT 스캔을 매우 명확하고 빨리 얻을 수 있고, 기관지에 대한 삼차원 볼륨 영상 (3 dimentional volume rendering image) 등을 얻어서 가시적인 효과를 높이고 진단의 정확성에 보다 더 접근하게 되었다. 소기도를 침범하는 질환은 일차적인 것과 이차적인 것이 있는데, 병리조직학적으로는 원인별로 흡연으로 인한 소기도 질환, 세포성 세기관지염, 수축성 세기관지염, 증식성 세기관지염등으로 구분하며 여기에는 이와 같은 병리질환을 일으키는 다양한 원인들이 포함된다. 이외에도 드문 질환으로 미만성 범세기관지염, 광물질에 의한 소기도 질환등이 있다.

  • The purpose of this experimental study is to investigate the quantitative pollutants reduction by oxygen enrichment and induced air effect in venturi type after-burner. For this purpose, CO, $CO_2$, $O_2$. and HC concentrations were measured before and after the after-burner by changing the Oxygen flow rate and area ratio which is defined as the ratio of air inducing area divided by total area. As results of this study, when the area ratio were increased, the emission reduction effect was increased even less oxygen flow rate. In that case when oxygen was injected too little, the pollutants were increased.

  • 본 연구에서는 다중선회연소기의 원리에 기초하여 속도차가 있는 두 공기류의 전단층에 기체연료를 분출하여 연소시키면 연료가 두 공기류 사이에 유입되므로 연료 가 산화제의 접촉면적이 증대되고 또한 난류혼합속도가 큰 영역으로 연료가 유입되므 로 혼합효과가 증대되어 고부하연소에 적절한 방식이 될 것으로 생각하여 동축이중공 기분류중의 난류 확산화염에 대해 그 화염구조를 밝히고 이 화염을 실용연소기에 응용 하기 위한 기초자료를 얻는데 목적이 있다.

  • This purpose of this study is to investigate the combustion emission characteristics on the effect of secondary air injection in combustion field of model gas turbine combustor changing excess air ratio. For this purpose, meantemperature, CO, CO2, O2 and HC concentration were measured by changing excess air ratio and secondary air injection. As a result of this study, meantemperature, CO2 emission was decreased and CO emission increased by increasing the excess air ratio of secondary air. therefore, This paper showed the effect of Secondary air injection on flame structure, combustion emission characteristics.

A Study on the Performance Analysis of Diesel Engine Supercharged by Exhaust Gas Thrbine (배기가스 터빈과급 디젤기관의 성능해석에 관한 연구)

  • This study is theoretically examined the influences on the performance of diesel engine super¬charged by exhaust gas turbine with the change of excess air factor, admission ratio, total efficien¬cy of turbine and compressor, scavenging pressure ratio, and scavenging temperature. In this study, all calculations are carried out by computer, and the theoretical engine performance is com¬pared with the actual engine performance which is offered from engine manufacturer. Following results are acquired by this study. The mean effective pressure is increased with decrease of excess air factor or increase of scavenging pressure ratio. As the admission ratio or total efficiency of tur¬bine is increased, the mean effective pressure is increased but the specific fuel consumption is decreased. Mean calculation error compared with the actual engine performance is under 5 per¬cents, therefore, this calculation method can be used in the design of diesel engine.

  • In this paper, we present scavenge characteristics in a small subchamber of HCCI. It is very important to enhance scavenge rate because ignition in a chamber sometimes does not happen. To understand this phenomenon numerical tool was performed using the FLUENT which is a commercial code. Focus is given to the effect on the scavenge rate of the geometric factor that is the angle of nozzle injection. The numerical results show that the scavenge ones in the subchamber heavily depend on the nozzle angle. It was found that the scavenge rate is more effective at angled nozzle.

  • The oxidizer-rich preburner's combustion tests were fulfilled in the development process of staged combustion cycle rocket engines. The exhaust plume from an oxidizer-rich preburner is relatively transparent because combustion takes place in oxidizer rich state. During hot fire tests a still and infrared images were captured to visualize the plume structure, temperature distribution and so on. In addition, the exhaust plume was numerically investigated to figure out the detailed characteristics. The combustion was not considered for the numerical modeling, but the mixing of exhaust plume with circumstantial air was modeled by species transport model with several turbulence models. The inner structure of plume was configured out by the comparison of numerical results with experimental results, and the validity of applied numerical models was verified.

  • In this study, we investigated the effect of the generation of NOx and CO by adjusting the overfire air supply position and ratio using the boiler that was converted from coal burning to wood pellet boiler. When the amount of the overfire air is relatively increased, the amount of NOx is slightly decreased but CO is sharply decreased when burning at low excess air ratio (1.10) that is due to a small fuel particle size. However, NOx slightly increased when burning at high excess air ratio (1.33) due to the large fuel size, but CO was hardly affected. Also, When the amount of overfire air was same, The more supply position was concentrated to upper portion of the main combustor, the more NOx and CO was lowered. And in case of the excess air ratio was high, the generation of NOx and CO I can see that it keeps the level irrelevant to the amount of air for the second stage combustion.
