The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing cultural competency after analyzing the relationship between global citizenship and cultural competency in 169 nursing students of G city. The data were collected with self-reported questionnaires and analyzed with SPSS 24.0 program which was used for descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis. The total mean score of the participants' global citizenship was 3.68 out of 5 points, and cultural competency 3.06 out of 5 points. There was a significant relationship between global community concept (r=.48, p<.001), multinationalism (r=.42, p<.001), general citizenship (r=.27, p<.001), national identity (r=.32, p<.001) in sub-areas of global citizenship, and cultural competency. Other significant factors were global community concept, multinationalism, and national identity, which explained 29% of cultural competency. The findings indicate that the higher global citizenship, the higher the cultural competency. And global community concept, multinationalism, general citizenship, and national identity in sub-areas of global citizenship affected the cultural competence. Therefore, a cultural competency education program designed for nursing students should focus on these factors for enhancing cultural competency.

This study is a descriptive survey study intended to analyze the relationship between multicultural acceptability, empathy, and global citizenship of nursing students and identify the factors influencing global citizenship. The data was collected targeting 187 nursing students at universities located in the cities of B, U, and S. The collected data was analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows: global citizenship of nursing students was positively correlated with multicultural acceptability and empathy. Factors influencing the level of global citizenship were empathy, multicultural acceptability, which together explained 40.0% of the total variance in global citizenship. Consequently, this study raises the need for the development and application of steady practical programs and various learning methods for the enhancement of global citizenship, which is required in the fields of nursing education where global competence is considered to be important.

This study aims to examine the effects of student's individual background and school factors on global citizenship and to provide some suggestions to improve global citizenship education in Korea. To achieve this purpose, we used International Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS) 2009 data which studied student knowledge and understanding of civics and citizenship as well as student perceptions, and attitudes related to civics and citizenship from 38 countries. The data was analyzed with a 2-level Hierarchical Linear Model. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. Girls had more positive attitudes than boys toward gender equality and equal rights for different ethnic groups and immigrants. This study also showed that the level of student's global citizenship depended on whether home language was different from test language. Parental educational attainment and parental occupational status generally affected the level of student's global citizenship and students' interest in political and social issues appeared to be strongly affected by their parents. These findings suggest that parents play important role in improving global citizenship. At the school level, teacher-student relationships and the value of student participation had positive effects on global citizenship. Therefore, in order to implement global citizenship education in schools, it is necessary to consider the change of school climate.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between global citizenship, self leadership and global health competencies in nursing students and utilize the basic data for development of educational program to increase of global health competence. A convenience sample of 207 subjects were invited from three university. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's Correlation with SPSS PC 18.0 program. Global health competencies showed that there were differences according to religion, taking education related to global health competency, exposure to mass media about global health. There were a significant positive correlation of global citizenship(r=.364, p<.01), self leadership(r=.372, p<.01) and the global citizenship of nursing students showed a significantly positive correlation of self leadership(r=.463, p<.01). Therefore, on the result of this study, when we develop the educational programs to increase the global health competencies for nursing students, we have to include global citizenship and self leadership.

The purpose of this study was to develop a global citizenship education (GCE) program nurturing responsibility and proactive attitude as a global citizen. A storytelling based GCE program was developed using stories stimulating empathy, immersion, reflection, and change of perspective regarding global issues. An 8 hour program was developed, and implemented on 11th grade students (n=40). Students either listened to stories told by the teacher, or created stories on their own. Paired t-test results indicated an overall increase in global citizenship and interest in learning it. This study demonstrates that storytelling methods can help students understand abstract content easily by presenting it in a concrete way with context, increase fun in learning, and enable the use of various instructional strategies and media sources.

천혜의 자연조건을 갖출 목포항을 세계적 미항으로 가꾸기 위한 운동이 전개되고 있다. 이미 대불산업단지가 목포항 주변에 위치하고 있으며 영산강 하구둑이 건설되어 있다. 최근에는 남악신도시가 건설 중이고, 목포-고하도 연육교 건설이 계획되고 있어서 목포항 미관 조성과 환경보전에 시민의 참여와 관심이 모아지고 있다. 그래서 천혜의 목포항을 세계적 수준의 아름다운 항구로 가꾸기 위한 목포시민의 환경보전 실천방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 먼저 $\ulcorner$희망찬 미항 목포 가꾸기 운동$\\lrcorner$ 을 검토하고 시민을 대상으로 환경설문조사를 통하여 시민의 환경의식 수준을 확인한 후, 이를 바탕으로 환경보전 시민실천방안을 도출하였다.

This study is a convergence study to understand the impact of political efficacy, political interest, and global citizenship on political participation. Participants were 3rd and 4th grade 155 nursing students. The data were analyzed t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation and multiple regression. The result is that factors influencing the political participation were political efficacy(r=.27, p=.001), political interest(r=.42, p<.001), and attitude in global citizenship(r=-.24, p=.003). The higher political interest(β=.37) and political efficacy(β=.21), the lower the Global citizenship_Attitude, the higher political participation. A total of 25.7% of political participation was explained. In order to increase political participation, the results suggest it is necessary to political education for enhancing political interest and efficacy.

이 연구는 인천의 정체성을 알아보는 데 연구의 초점을 맞추었다. 연구방법으로는 실증적 방법과 민속학적 방법 두 가지를 병행하였다. 시민단체, 공무원, 학생을 대상으로 임의목적표본방법을 사용하여 총 613명이 분석되었다. 분석방법은 교차통계분석 및 다중분류분석을 하였다. 정체성은 한 지역에 거주하는 주민들의 집단결속력과 성취도를 결정하여 주며, 그 지역의 사회적 통합과도 밀접한 관련을 지니고 있어서, 지역의 문제나 관심사를 해결하고 발전시키는데 가장 핵심적인 요소이다. 인천의 정체의식은 세 집단 모두 낮으며, 전체응답자의 절반 이상은 그저 그렇다는 중용의 의견이었다. 인천에 대한 정체의식을 응답집단의 특성별로 보면 여자보다는 남자가 높고, 기혼자보다는 미혼자가 높으며, 30세 이상으로 연령이 많을수록, 수입과 생활수준이 낮을수록 정체의식이 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 그리고 전문.관리.사무직보다는 판매.서비스.생산.농업직 종사자들의 정체의식이 높았다. 전문대 정도의 교육을 받은 시민의 정체의식이 상대적으로 높고, 인천의 문화.복지.환경개선을 위한 특별기금 기부의사가 있는 시민과 인천을 마음붙이고 살 곳으로 생각하는 시민의 정체의식이 높다. 총괄적인 의미에서 본 인천의 정체성에 관한 조사를 보면, 인천은 "주인의식 없음"과 "이제부터 만들어 가야 한다"는 답변이 제일 많았고 그 다음은 "포용력", "선구적 개척정신", "긍정적인 의미의 짠물", "합중시(合衆市)적 다양성", "외세에 대한 호국정신", "세계의 관문도시"로 나타났다. 이와 같은 응답유형으로 보아서는 인천지역에 대한 이미지를 한마디로 딱 잘라 말하기는 어렵다. 그러나 인천은 서울.경기인, 충청인, 호남인, 영남인, 이북인, 외국인 등을 가리지 않고 받아드리는 "포용력이 있는 합중시적 다양성을 가진 도시"로 지역차가 서로 다른 출신성분이 공존할 수 있다는 점에서 의미하는 바가 크다. 이는 "세계속의 도시"와 "동북아의 거점도시"를 추구하는 미래지향적인 시각에서는 지역주의를 지양하고 지역통합이슈와 세계화 물결속에서 외국인에게도 열린 상태문화를 제공하는 관문이 될 것이라는 면에서 인천이 추구해야 할 정체성으로 시사하는 점이라고 본다.는 미래지향적인 시각에서는 지역주의를 지양하고 지역통합이슈와 세계화 물결속에서 외국인에게도 열린 상태문화를 제공하는 관문이 될 것이라는 면에서 인천이 추구해야 할 정체성으로 시사하는 점이라고 본다.

This convergence study was conducted to identify the effect of the awareness enhancing program of the international development cooperation of college students sponsored by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). A quasi-experimental study design was used. The participants consisted of one experimental group (n=32) who attended the awareness enhancing class of international development cooperation and the other control group (n=32) who did not participate in the class in a university in C city. The data were collected using online survey before the first class and after the last class in spring semester 2019. Collected data were analyzed by ANCOVA using SPSS WIN Version 20.0 program. The levels of global citizenship (p=.003) and career preparation behavior (p=.013) was higher in the experimental group than in the control group. However, career identity(p=.385) and cooperative efficacy(p=.488) did not show significant difference between the groups. This study proposed the direction for the awareness enhancing program of the international development cooperation of college students by showing its positive effects on the global citizenship and career preparation behavior.
