효율적인 물체인식을 위해서는 물체의 형상특징을 직선적으로 기술할 수 있는 체적소 기반 물체 표현 방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 몇 개의 계수를 가지고 3차원 정보를 효율적으로 표현할 수 있는 superquadric을 이용하여 기본적인 3차원 물체를 모델링 한다. 그리고 보다 복잡하고 정교한 물체의 표현을 위해서 변형된 superquadric을 함께 이용한다. 이렇게 만들어진 개개의 3차원 모델에 z-buffer 알고리즘을 적용하여 하나의 완전한 3차원 물체로 표현하는 방법을 제시하고 실험을 통해 그 유용성을 입증하였다.

임시지식을 표현하고 추론하는 것은 인공지능 분야에서 중요한 문제로 되어왔다. 그런데 우리는 또한 일상생활에서 불확실성을 지니고 있는 임시지식을 자주 대하게 된다. 최근에 Dubois와 Prade는 시간의 기본단위로 시간점을, Dutta는 구간을 사용하여 이를 표현하였다. 본 논문에서 우리는 구간을 시간의 기본단위로 하면서 그 구간들이 점들과 같은 순서구조를 갖는 특성을 가진 새로운 표현모델을 제안한다. 그리고 간단한 추론규칙들을 제시하며 발생시기가 불확실한 사건들사이의 임시관계를 표현하되 convex한 사건과 non-convex한 사건을 나누어 설명한다.

지적구조의 시각적인 표현을 위해서 오랫동안 다차원척도법이 사용되어 왔으나, 최근에는 패스파인더 네트워크와 같이 네트워크의 형태로 표현하는 방법이 확산되고 있다. 다차원척도법에 대해서는 생성된 2차원 지도의 품질을 평가하기 위한 합치도 지표로 STRESS나 RSQ를 비롯한 여러 종류가 사용되고 있는 반면, 네트워크 표현에 대해서는 마땅한 합치도 지표가 아직까지 제안되지 않았다. 이 글에서는 개체 간의 연관성을 네트워크로 표현할 경우에, 생성된 네트워크 구조를 평가하기 위한 합치도 지표로 NetRSQ를 제안하였다.

Zou Si Cong is a very significant female artist from the period when China was forming its modern arts and culture. Zou Si Cong, who was influenced by China's political and social upheaval, was born in 1939 and died in 1996. Her actual work period was after China's 'Cultural Revolution' and lasted only 13 years, from 1978 to 1990. Her passion for art never stopped, even when she was suffering from severe arthritis with its torturing pain. There were big changes that occurred in her work; 'Early Work', 'Realistic Work', 'Mine Worker Painting', 'Yi Tribe' Painting', 'Lotus Paintings'. 'Mine Worker Painting', which represented a new figure by abandoning traditional techniques, dividing picture space, and changing and distorting forms, was the one that had the greatest impact of all on a lot of people and strongly influenced modern Chinese figurative painting. The characteristics of Zou Si Cong's work are in its 'Traditionalism', 'Realism, and 'Historical' aspects. Zou Si Cong developed her uniqueness, along with Western expressions, based on traditional Chinese painting techniques. Realism, through realistic rendering, appeared in her figurative paintings during the Cultural Revolution Period. 'Yi Tribe' paintings lively illustrated their lives. She creatively reinterpreted history in the composition of Mine Workers, which is based on the historical record of Chinese barbarity.

The purpose of this study is to analyse and interpret the way of differentiated expression and changing creative trend following 5-day workweek which has been recently adopted. For this aim 11 pieces of distinctive advertising text were analysed. The criteria for selection of analysing text were relativeness with 5-day workweek and cognitive inconsistency. These texts were negative phrases, exaggerated expression, and excessively humorous appeals. The study revealed the followings: First, 5-day workweek concerned advertising texts were considered as high attention getting and successful in stimulating advertising audiences' curiosity by using the elements opposing the value and belief system formed in the existing audience. Second, consumption-driving lifestyle was found in most expressions for credit cards advertising. Third, hedonic need-oriented lifestyle was typical in young consumer products category. Fourth, family centered lifestyle emphasized meaning of rest and solidarity of family.

Recent advances in new media for sensory experiences keep expanding visual expression methods in installation art such as projection mapping and virtual reality. Artists can create and develop visual expression techniques based on such new media. Projection mapping is a new medium that continues to add various possibilities to visual expression in media art. Under the projection mapping environment, artists can recompose the object or space with the digital content by projecting video onto three-dimensional surfaces in the space. This paper focuses on the process where visual expression with the projection mapping technology leads to viewers' sensory experience. To this end, "reproducibility," "dissemination," "virtuality," and "interactivity" of media were analyzed to describe the meaning and *definition of visual expression. Artworks are considered as an example to study visual expression techniques such as "repetition and overlap," "simulacrum and metaphor," and "displacement and conversion." I applied the analysis and created Domino, a projection mapping artwork, which helps the research on visual expression techniques that can lead to sensory experience the extensibility of visual expression.

This study examined the middle school students' psychological well-being, emotional expressiveness and peer relationships according to sex, and the relationships among them. The participants of this study were 391 second grade students at a middle schools located in Gyeonggi-do. The collected data were analyzed using a t-test, Pearson's correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results were follows: First, there were significant differences in the psychological well-being, emotional expressiveness and peer relationships according to sex. Female students had higher levels in all variables than male students. Second, there were significant relationships among psychological well-being, emotional expressiveness and peer relationships. In addition, psychological well-being and positive emotional expressiveness, negative expressiveness in the sub-factor of emotional expressiveness were significant predictors of peer relationships. These findings provide suggestions regarding the plan to improve middle school students' peer relationships.

대칭성(symmetry)은 그래프를 가시화하여 기학학적 표현을 구축하는 그래프 드로잉 분야에서 그래프의 구조와 특성을 효율적으로 표현해주는 가장 중요한 평가 기준이다. 하지만 현재까지는 이차원 평면에서의 대칭성 문제에 대해서만 기존 연구가 이루어져왔을 뿐 해상도를 증가시키고 대칭성을 보다 풍부하게 표현할 수 있는 그래프의 삼차원 대칭 드로잉에 관한 연구는 아직 제시된 바 없다. 본 논문에서는 그래프 드로잉에서의 삼차원 대칭성 문제를 연구하였다. 먼저 그래프의 삼차원 대칭 드로잉을 구축하기 위해 필요한 삼차원 대칭성 모델을 제시하고 이를 기반으로 하여 트리에서 삼차원 대칭성을 탐지하는 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 이 알고리즘은 트리의 최대의 대칭성을 보여주는 삼차원 드로잉 알고리즘으로 쉽게 확장이 가능하다.

The effective reflection coefficients for light obliquely incident upon a substrate coated with uniaxially anisotropic films and with isotropic films are derived. Multiple reflections inside anisotropic films, as well as those inside isotropic films, are properly treated. These expressions, together with the related ellipsometric expressions, can be used to find the nonuniform distribution of an uniaxially anisotropic film perpendicular to the film's surface, by approximating it as consisting of uniaxially anisotropic uniform layers and applying the conventional modeling technique for spectroscopic ellipsometry.

It is obvious that the characteristics of the media are related with the visual expression found in film and video shots. It can be assumed that there would be unavoidable distortion when the space and objects are being framed into an image by the camera and that unavoidable distortion can be utilized for creative expression. Therefore the relationship among the shape of filming zone, the structure of the image, and the strategies of disposition of camera, actors, and objects were studied in accordance with expressional attempts found in film and video images. The classified cases of the expressions found in film and video was studied from the view of the dispositions and movements of the physical elements such as camera, actors, and objects which made the designated expression possible. Finally the organization of method to arrange of the elements used for film within film zone was resulted as the expressional directing methods for filming. Later the usefulness of the method was tested by the application of the method in educational procedure and the evaluation of the analysis of the students' results.
