Academic libraries have actively responded to social requirements and changes in scholarly communication system. In recent years, social and scholarly requirements for systematic management and sharing of research data have become apparent. Major countries including U.S., UK and Australia have begun national policies requiring management and sharing of research data from publicly funded R&D projects. This case study identified four academic libraries in the US with active research data support services and analyzed them in terms of how they established dedicated unit and the extent of services in the areas of instruction, consulting and system support. The analysis provides context for academic libraries in Korea in formulating their future research data strategies. The core of the recommendation is primarily concerned with developing instructional services and strengthening library's capabilities for research data management and sharing.

It is obvious that the sales of smart phones are increasing every year whereas the growth rate is decreasing year by year from 2010 through the investigation of the current situation of the smartphone market. Therefore, the GUI design of smartphones has gradually become the major design difference and selling point. In this research background, the purpose of this paper is to investigate and analyze the relationship between GUI design and user experience which takes the 20 generation smartphone users in China as the research objects, so as to understand the impact of GUI design on user experience. In this paper, five visual elements of GUI design are derived from prior study, and five essential factors of user experience are educed by using online review text analysis and KJ. Finally, this thesis makes a questionnaire survey on the 20 generation smartphone users in China, and analyzes the influence of GUI design on the user experience. Meanwhile, we put forward some suggestions for improving the user experience on the basis of the survey results.

The layout in picture book is a visual statement that arouses children's psychological reaction upon pictorial positions and those disposition, and that indicates a correlation between theme and background and characters' movements. This study firstly confirmed that children's perception and experience are variously formed according to age, past experience, psychological action, physiological impulse, mentality, growth environment, etc., in order to analyze how the pictorial layout in children's picture book has influence on children visually and psychologically. Likewise, visual and psychological perception was carried out targeting on the children between 4 and 7 years old, based on the perceptive specific and process that have been studied by previous researchers. In addition, the children's picture books published overseas or domestically were presented as the related cases, in order that the facts analyzed may be drawn to harmonious and effective pictorial layout. Lastly, it is expected that the conclusion suggested by this study may be of help to illustrators to design picture books individually and creatively, as well as be applied to studying effective expression in the educant who learn about illustration.

Graphic Design is being developed as a unique genre and widely applied to movie, TV broadcasting, music video, computer an, web design, animation, and game. Some university added motion graphics in their curriculum recently. However Motion Graphic has not been defined clearly and pedagogy of motion graphics was not studied enough. Motion Graphic is not merely moving picture. Its typical purpose and concept are evolving because of the diversified application. Meta-synthesis between media and hybrid development based on diverse approach and composite presentational methods are also changing Motion Graphic. Various technology such as photograph, analytical engine, hypermedia, multimedia, digital composite picture, network and interface should be studied to understand Motion Graphic. This study reviews the historic background of Motion Graphic mainly related to its advent. A fundamental definition of Motion Graphic including the space and time is suggested and the international trend is introduced. Future Motion Graphic and possible development was also predicted.

The major trade area of the South Korea is divided into Asia, America and Europe. Generally, marine transportation is the main method of mass cargo transportation, but unlike others, rail transportation is available in the Europe area. Also, as a result of China's growth, South Korea's position as northeast Asia logistics hub has weakened. That is the reason why we need to pay attention to rail transportation, an alternative competitive structure. In accordance with this background, this study focuses on analyzing economic feasibility comparing transportation routes to Europe using Trans-Korea Railway and Trans-Siberia Railway. Factors of analysis are transportation distance, period, cost and additional cost As the result, considering economic feasibility, TKR-TSR route(Route1) is the best transportation approach for six routes. Therefore, using TKR-TSR railway will be the best way to increase nation's competitiveness, in response to Russia government's far-east development strategy.

This study analyzed the relationship between elderly suicide rates and socio-economic factors from the macroscopic perspectives. As certain theoretical background of elderly suicide, sociological and economic perspectives are applied. The economic factors of elderly suicide rates consisted of economic growth and unemployment rate, economic activity rate of the aged, and relative poverty rate (income inequality rate). The sociological factors included social welfare spending, divorce rate, growth rate of population aging, and elderly dependency ratio. According to research findings, first, the more economic activity of the aged is low, the more elderly suicide rate is high. Second, the more social welfare spending rate goes flat, the more elderly suicide rate is growing. Third, the more relative poverty rate (income inequality), increasing population aging rate, and elderly dependency ratio are high, elderly suicide rate goes high at the same time. Finally, this study proposed several socio-economic policy alternatives for preventing continuous growth of Korean elderly suicide rate.

All of the government, private enterprises, and local governments are promoting the spread of electric vehicles to reduce carbon emissions depending on the green growth policy of the government that began in 2009. Due to this background, the prevalence of electric cars is being spread. However, the efficient management and operation through the exchanging information between electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, as well as the development of electric vehicles are essential to disseminate them. In this paper, we present a service framework for exchange of information between electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, and propose a communication method to meet it. To do this, we propose the most appropriate communication method through the performance evaluation by identifying and comparing the existing wireless communication methods can be applied to exchange information between electronic vehicles and EV charging infrastructure.

The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing social performance of entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation, and CSR activities. This model tests various theoretical research hypotheses relating to social enterprise, entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation, and CSR activities. Entrepreneurial orientation have been classified as innovativeness, proactiveness, and risk-taking. And CSR activities have been classified as community responsibility and environmental responsibility. The proposed model is analyzed to target social entrepreneurs. Valid 115 questionnaires have been collected within three months of 2013. Smart Partial Least Square(PLS) 2.0 have been utilized for deriving the study results. The result of hypothesis testing are as follows. First, innovativeness and proactiveness positively influence market orientation. But risk-taking does not influence market orientation. Second, market orientation positively influence community responsibility and environmental responsibility. Finally, community responsibility and environmental responsibility positively influence social performance. The results of this study will provide various implications to improve social performance and entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation, and CSR activities.

The goal of this study is analysing a box office success of The Handmaiden in terms of modified space-time and character. The movie which has original novel induces desire of watching by decreasing property of experience good of movie based narrative of novel. Contrary to novel that is set in Victorian age, the movie changed contents that make a character who realizes masculine of colonialism and women oppressed by man escape through transcending class by adopting period of Japanese occupation. It hereby decreases negative effect by substituting growth and solidarity of women for the element of homosexuality. Also the gender discussion about crimes against female when the movie was running increases factor of sympathy of characters and accord with subject of the movie. Beside that, The reasons of success are detector, star system of actor, effective public marketing of movie trailer and selection of movie won the award for best picture at a film festival.. Movie through adapting novel enhances ability of various creation and blow up appreciation of spectator. The differentiation of adapted hit movie is that the altered content is creative, has subject that corresponding with universal awareness transcending space-time and expresses property of media effectively.

The new Korean government sets its main policy direction as Creative Economy. The Creative Economy can be defined as a growth strategy that establishes new companies, enhances the competitiveness of established companies and creates new markets, industries and jobs in consequence of combining of creative imagination, science and technology and ICT. In this context, the concept of innovation cluster, which aims to foster technological innovations from an organic ecosystem perspective, can be a valid policy instrument for attaining Creative Economy. Innovation cluster can and must make a contribution to achieving the Creative Economy of Korea. In particular, the ICT Convergence Innovation Cluster will be a good strategy for this purpose. Based on this conceptual background, this paper analyzes a recently notable case of an ICT Convergence Cluster in Korea, Pangyo Technovalley (PTV). We argue that the Pangyo Technovalley is a representative cluster of converging ICT and science and technology. We identify the major factors for successful development of ICT cluster: regional government's flexible response to environmental change, careful pre-planning and balance between private and public involvement. In addition, we also found that additional factors, settlement condition for securing good workforce, agglomeration of various innovation actors for promoting convergence, and cluster network revitalization are also important for implementing the creative ICT convergence cluster.
