A Comparison between Factor Structure and Semantic Representation of Personality Test Items Using Latent Semantic Analysis (잠재의미분석을 활용한 성격검사문항의 의미표상과 요인구조의 비교)

  • To investigate how personality test items are understood by participants, their semantic representations were explored by Latent Semantic Analysis, In this thesis, Semantic Similarity Matrix was proposed, which contains cosine similarity of semantic representations between test items and personality traits. The matrix was compared to traditional factor loading matrix. In preliminary study, semantic space was constructed from the passages describing the five traits, collected from 154 undergraduate participants. In study 1, positive correlation was observed between the factor loading matrix of Korean shorten BFI and its semantic similarity matrix. In study 2, short personality test was constructed from semantic similarity matrix, and observed that its factor loading matrix was positively correlated with the semantic similarity matrix as well. In conclusion, the results implies that the factor structure of personality test can be inferred from semantic similarity between the items and factors.

A Cross-Sectional Study between Creativity and Personality of Elementary, Middle and High School Students (초·중·고등학교 학생들의 창의력과 성격 간 상관 연구: 창의력 올림피아드 참가 학생을 중심으로)

  • Personality traits have been considered as one of the stable predictors having significant correlations with creativity, although there is lack of study figuring out whether those relationship keeps constant across different educational stages. Exploratory research is conducted to investigate how the correlation between personality traits and creativity changes before adulthood using HEXACO personality measurement renowned for its efficient prediction and explanation of behavioral patterns. A total of 230 elementary, middle, and high school students who participated in Korea Destination ImagiNation completed two divergent thinking tasks(the Alternative Uses Tasks and the Remote Associates task) and HEXACO to measure their creativity and personality traits, respectively. The results showed there was a correlation between some of the personality traits and creativity, which differed by their educational stages.

  • 정보화 환경에 적합한 인재의 Personality 유형 분류 및 주요 특징 분석을 통하여 이에 대한 모델을 제시하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 기존 심리검사 및 정보화 성격 관련 연구의 한계점을 제시하고 조직 내 각 계층의 업무 수행에 필요한 성격 및 주요 성공 역할을 도출하여 이를 정보화 환경에 맞게 정리함으로써 정보화 성격 유형을 분류하고자 한다. 이러한 성격 유형들은 세부적으로 IT 창조자, Communicator, IT 리더, 정보 공유자, IT 감독자, 비전 제시자, 동기 부여자 등 7가지 수평적 유형으로 분류되며, 이러한 유형들의 분석을 위하여 성격 검사 연구인 Big 5 Model의 분석 방법 및 설문 문항을 적용하고자 한다. 이러한 정보화 성격 분류 및 각 유형에 대한 특성 제시는 개인의 정보화 성향 및 잠재성격을 파악하고 이를 개인적, 조직적으로 더욱 발전시킬 수 있는 방향을 제시할 수 있다.

A comparison of three-types of multi-level skip-lot (3종류의 다단계 스깊-로트 샘플링 검사계획의 비교)

  • In this paper, chain-shaped multi-level skip-lot sampling plan is designed, which is a normal inspection plan between Choi(1993)'s tightened inspection plan and Choi(1995)'s reduced inspection plan. In every skipping inspection of the proposed plan, when designed numbers of consecutively inspected lots are accepted, switch to the next skipping inspection, and when a lot is rejected, switch to the skipping inspection of two-level lower. Also, the formulae of the operating chareacteristic function, average sampling number and average outgoing quality for the proposed skip-lot sampling plan are derived using the morkov chain approach and their properties are studied and graphically compared with those of the other multi-level skip-lot sampling plans.

The purpose and goal of the study is to implement the system that provides the information about appropriate study methods for each individuals based on analysis of the natural characteristics (innate trait and aptitude) by using fingerprints.

A Study on Discriminant Function of Psychoticism in Schizophrenics (정신분열증 환자에서 정신병적 경향성의 판별기능에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics of personality dimensions of schizophrenics. Subjects in this study were 71 chronic schizophrenics, 59 acute schizophrenics, and 87 normal persons. All subjects was asked to respond to EPQ(Korean Version Eysenck Personality Questionnaire). Collected data were analyzed by using the statistical techniques of discriminant function analysis, t-test and one-way variable analysis. The results were as follows : Acute and chronic schizophrenics were higher than normal persons on psychoticism score. However, there was no significant difference between chronic and acute schizophrenics on the psychoticism score. Discriminant analysis was adopted to identify the scales in EPQ that were most effective in discriminating between normals and schizophrenics. Psychoticism of EPQ function was the most effective variable that discriminates between the normals and the schizophrenics.

  • It is possible to contribute to efficiency of police organization if policeman has their hob satisfaction. To effectively perform the service, it is important to a matter of outcome or satisfaction of duty. However, the study in this field is insufficient. In this study, the introduction is in the first chapter. Theoretical consideration in the second chapter, investigative analysis and argument in the third chapter and finally the conclusion in the forth chapter. In this study, according to analysis of position, personality show no differences and job satisfaction show more higher in police sergeant class. Also, the study shows that there is relationship between sociality and prudence and outcome of duty and occupational view in the correlation between personality and job satisfaction. Therefore, a sociable person influence affirmative occupational view and outcome of duty.

Differences of Personality Characteristics According to the Suicide Symptoms in Patients with Depression (우울증 환자에서 자살 증상 유무에 따른 성격 특성의 차이에 관한 연구)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine personality traits associated with suicidal symptoms (with history of suicide attempt or suicidal idea) in depressed patients. Methods : A sample 186 patients diagnosed with major depressive disorder was divided into two groups : suicidal group (with history of suicide attempt or suicidal idea, n=70) and non-suicidal group (without history of suicide attempt or suicidal idea, n=116). NEO Personality Assessment System were used to evaluate personality trait. Results : Neuroticism was high in suicidal group (p=0.041). In multivariate logistic regression, Neuroticism was also a significant influence on suicidal symptoms (Odds Ratio=1.04, 95% Confidence Interval 1.01-1.07, p=0.0145). Conclusions : High Neuroticism is a useful information to identify individuals at high risk of suicide in depressive patients.
