This study aimed to identify the effects of using storytelling techniques in sex education, in which students are encouraged to talk about their experiences with sex and love and helps them form their own sex values and decision-making skills related to sex. A five-period teaching-learning plan covering issues including safe, considerate and responsible sex was developed using the storytelling technique for 134 first-year students in 4 classes. 134 questionnaires were administrated through pre-and post-test and 38 worksheets applying a variety of storytelling activities were analyzed using content analysis. Students were found to have gained a more positive outlook on relationships and a considerate attitude towards others in sex. There was also a significant increase in items considering safe sex, including perceptions on contraception methods and selection of safe contraception methods. The students' sense of sexual responsibility was also enhanced. Results of content analysis found students to have shifted to sex focusing on love and responsibility, and to have grown a stronger sense of responsibility in their relationships. Furthermore, the respondents expressed interest in selecting proper contraception methods and held strongly negative perceptions about abortion.

The purpose of this study was to clarify the relationship between the sexual knowledge of adolescents and their sexual values and interests with regards to gender and grade. The case subjects were 272 middle and high school students in Keoungbok 154 boys and 118 girls, who completed the study questionnaire. Statistical techniques used for the investigation were crosstabs, t-test, Pearson's partial correlation and hierarchical multiple regression. The results of this study were as follows: (1) There were gender and grade differences in the adolescents' sexual knowledge and their sexual values and interests. (2) The adolescents' sexual knowledge showed a positive correlation with their own sexual values and interests. (3) The adolescents' sexual interests were a stronger predictor of sexual knowledge than sexual values, gender or grade.

The purpose of this study was to investigate relationship between parent's supportive parenting and adolescent sexual values. The subjects were 137 adolescents who attended high school in Keoungbok. Statistical techniques were Factor Analysis, Crosstabs, Two-way ANOVA, Scheffe' test, Multiple Regression. The results of this were as follows. First, Adolescents who more perceived supportive parenting from a parent were more likely to consult with parents about one's own sexual problems. Second, There was significant difference in adolescent sexual values by parent's supportive parenting levels or gender. Adolescents who perceived more supportive parenting from parent, or who were boys were more likely to have positive sexual values. But there was no significant interaction effect of supportive parenting level and gender on adolescent sexual values. Finally, The Multiple Regression analysis showed that gender was the stronger predictor of adolescent sexual values than parent's supportive parenting.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify differences in sexual knowledge, attitudes and perspectives of sexual values for female students as these factors related to sexual characteristics. Methods: The participants were 835 girls in junior or high school from Seoul and Kyunggi province in Korea. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, F-test and Scheffe with the SPSS 14.0 WIN program. Results: The major results were as follows: First, for sexual knowledge, there were significant differences for girls from homes with conservative atmosphere and for those who had experiences related to porno. Second, related to sexual attitudes, students who had experience related to porno, were significantly more positive, and had a more open attitudes than students with no experience. Third, for perspectives of sexual value, students who perceived a conservative home atmosphere, who had boy friend, and who had experiences related to porno, had a more positive sexuality, and attitudes towards sexual equality. Conclusion: The findings indicate that it is necessary to develop special sex education programs for both school and parents so that teachers and parents can guide these students appropriately.

The purpose of this study was to clarify how sexual values and sexual knowledge may be related to ego-identity of adolescents. The subjects were 303 adolescents who attended middle or high school in Seoul and KeoungGi province. The survey was based on questionnaires completed by 146 boys and 157 girls. Statistical techniques were t-test, Pearson's correlation, simple regression, hierarchical regression. The results of this were as follows. (1) Boy and girl adolescents' sexual values was associated positively with ego -identity. (2) Boy and girl adolescents' sexual knowledge was associated positively with ego-identity. (3) Boy adolescents' sexual values and knowledge exerted direct effects on ego -identity. But girl adolescents' sexual knowledge exerted indirect effects on ego -identity mediated by sexual values.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of ego?identity and rare teacher's emotional support on the value of sexuality of institutionalized adolescents. The subjects were 102 middle school adolescents in Daegu and Cyeongsangbuk Province, Korea. Ego-identity of the institutional youth, perceived emotional support of care teacher and sexual values reported by the institutionalized adolescents. The data were analyzed with an AMOS 5.5 Program by comparative fit index and a SPSS Win program 12.0 using cronbach's $\alpha$, simple regression, hierarchical multiple regression and path analysis. The findings showed that both the degree of ego-identity and perceived emotional support of care teacher exerted a significant effect on the sexual values of institutional youth. Furthermore, it is important to note that the care teacher's emotional support influenced sexual values of the youth, and was mediated by the ego-identity of the institutional youth.
