A Method on Design of Robust Control System (견실 제어계의 설계법에 관한 연구)

  • 가상적인 검출잡음을 가정하고 칼만 필타(Kalman Filter)를 고려하여 근사적 최적 레귤레이터의 특성에 가깝게 함으로써 견실 안정성을 회복할 수 있는 제어 시스템의 설계에 관하여 검토한다. 본 연구에서는 관측기를 이용한 최적 레귤레이터 계에 적분기를 결합한 견실제어계의 설계법을 나타내고 견실성을 회복할 수 있는 제어기의 파라미터 설정법을 나타낸다. 제어대상의 파라미터 변동에 의해서 생기는 등가인 외란을 억제하고 과도특성이 변하지 않는 제어 시스템을 모델 매칭의 원리에 기초하여 설계한다.

  • The increasing high frequency capabilities of CMOS have resulted in increased RF and analog design in CMOS. Design of RF and analog circuits depends critically on device S-parameter characteristics, magnitude of real and imaginary components and their behavior as a function of frequency. Utilization of scaled high performance CMOS technologies poses challenges as concerns for reliability degradation mechanisms increase. It is important to understand and quantify the effects of the reliability degradation mechanisms on the S-parameters and in turn on small signal model parameters. Various physical effects influencing small-signal parameters, especially the transconductance and capacitances and their degradation dependence, are discussed in detail. The measured S-parameters of H-gate and T-gate devices in a frequency range from 0.5GHz to 40GHz. All intrinsic and extrinsic parameters are extracted from S-parameters measurements at a single bias point in saturation. In this paper we discuss the analysis of the small signal equivalent circuits of RF SOI MOSFET's verificated for the purpose of exacting the change of parameter of small signal equivalent model followed by device flame.

Optimum Interleaver Design and Performance Analysis of Double-Binary Turbo Code for Wireless Metropolitan Area Networks (WMAN 시스템의 이중 이진 구조 터보부호 인터리버 최적화 설계 및 성능 분석)

  • Double-binary turbo code has been adopted as an error control code of various future communication systems including wireless metropolitan area networks(WMAN) due to its powerful error correction capability. One of the components affecting the performance of turbo code is internal interleaver. In 802.16 d/e system, an almost regular permutation(ARP) interleaver has been included as a part of specification, however it seems that the interleaver is not optimized in terms of decoding performance. In this paper, we propose three optimization methods for the interleaver based on spatial distance, spread and minimum distance between original and interleaved sequence. We find optimized interleaving parameters for each optimization method and evaluate the performances of the proposed methods by computer simulation under additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN) channel. Optimized parameters can provide up to 1.0 dB power gain over the conventional method and furthermore the obtainable gain does not require any additional hardware complexity.

  • 본 논문에서는 공간 오디오 부호화 기법인 MPEG 서라운드에서 공간 파라미터 전송 시 위상 파라미터를 생략하는 기법에 대해 다룬다. 기존 방법에서는 한 프레임이 모두 적은 위상차를 가지는 경우에도 정상적으로 처리하여 전송한다. 이러한 경우 위상차 파라미터를 생략하여 비트 효율을 향상시킬 수 있다. 스테레오 복원 과정에서 발생하는 채널 간 시간차에 기반해 설계된 양자화기를 생략 기법에 적용하면 기존에 비해 평균적으로 40 ~ 50% 정도의 위상 파라미터 절감 효과를 얻을 수 있다.

  • The design of reaction wheel control logic is critical to achieve the spacecraft attitude stabilization and performance requirements for the successful mission. Due to various uncertainties on orbit there exist limitation to obtain the model parameters through the ground tests and to design the associated control logic. Thus, the model parameter correction using on-orbit data is essential to the control performance on orbit. This paper performs the system identification using KOMPSAT-1 telemetry data and extracts the model parameters of the reaction wheel. Moreover, the reaction wheel is remodeled and compared with the ground test results.

  • In this Paper, we designed an LSP(Line Spectral Pairs) parameter quantizer with cascaded structure of vector quantizer and scalar quantizer for the wideband speech coder. We have chosen the 16th-order of the LP coefficients. These coefficients are then transformed into the LSP parameters which have the excellent properties for quantization and easy stability checking condition of synthesis filter. In the first stage of quantization, input LSP parameters are split-vector-quantized using two 8-th order codebooks. In the second stage, the components of residual vector are individually quantized by the scalar quantizer utilizing the ordering property of LSP parameters. The designed adaptive VQ-SQ quantizer using 35 bits/frame shows the wideband transparency that the average spectral distortion should be less than 1.6 ㏈ and less than 4% of the frames should have SD above 3 ㏈. The simulation results show that the designed quantizer provides a 2-3 bits/frame saving over the typical vector-scalar quantizer.

  • In the past, research has been conducted on the development of an adaptive cruise control algorithm considering fuel efficiency, and an adaptive cruise control system considering fuel efficiency have been developed. However, research on optimizing vehicle and adaptive cruise control parameters in order to maximize performances is insufficient. In this study, the design optimization of vehicle and control parameters considering fuel efficiency, trackability, ride comfort and safe distance is performed. This paper proposes performance measures of vehicle behavior and develops an adaptive cruise control system. In addition, based on the screening of vehicle parameters that significantly influence performances, kriging surrogate models are constructed through a sequential design of experiment, and kriging surrogate model-based design optimization is performed to maximize fuel efficiency and satisfy target performances.

  • The precision hydraulic valve is widely used in various industrial field like aircraft, automobile, and general machinery. Servo actuator is the most important device for driving the precise hydraulic valve. The reliable operation of servo actuator effects on the overall hydraulic system. The performance of servo actuator relies on frequency response and step response according to arbitrary input signal. In this paper, we performed the analysis for the components of servo actuator to satisfy the reliable operation and response characteristics through the reliability analysis, and also induced the design parameters to realize the reliable operation and fast response characteristics of servo actuator for hydraulic valve operation through the empirical knowledge of experts and electromagnetic theories. We suggested the design equations to determine the values of design parameters of servo actuator as like bobbin size, length of yoke and plunger and turn number of coil, and verified the achieved design values through FEM analysis and performance tests using some prototypes of servo actuators adapted in hydraulic valve.

  • Taguchi has used the signal-to-noise ratio (SN) to achieve the appropriate set of operating conditions where variability around target is low in the Taguchi parameter design. Many Statisticians criticize the Taguchi techniques of analysis, particularly those based on the SN. Moreover, there are difficulties in practical application, such as complexity and nonlinear relationships among quality characteristics and design (control) factors, and interactions occurred among control factors. Neural networks have a learning capability and model free characteristics. There characteristics support neural networks as a competitive tool in processing multivariable input-output implementation. In this paper we propose a substantially simpler optimization procedure for parameter design using neural network without resorting to SN. An example is illustrated to compare the difference between the Taguchi method and neural network method.

Detection of Influential Interaction Effects in Parameter Design (파라미터 설계법에서 교호작용효과의 검출방법)

  • Ignoring interaction effects has been pointed out to be one of serious drawbacks in analysis of the parameter designs which are constructed by using orthogonal arrays. In this paper a detecting procedure of influential 2-factor inteactions with minimum expeimental runs is described, when each contrl factor has two levels. The presented method is based on the near orthogonal arrays which are very similar to orthogonal arrays in the statistical structure. And those arrarys are the same as trace-optimal balanced saturated two-level fractional factorial designs of resolution V.
