An Optimization of the Distributed Generator Combination for Microgrid using Linear Programming (선형계획법을 이용한 마이크로그리드의 분산전원 조합 최적화)

  • MG(Microgrid) is a small power supply system located on-site that can supply both the electricity and the hot-water simultaneously. Engineering S/W is requested to construct Microgrids economically. We developed Engineering S/W that can combine DERs (Distributed Energy Resources) most economically using the linear programming and estimate of the economic. Developed S/W was programed using GAMS(General Algebraic Modeling System) and it is composed of the optimal DER combination module and forecasting module of renewable energy's output. We embody it based on MS Excel considering the user's convenience and we show its validity through a case study. We think that developed S/W will be very useful for planning MGs and energy supply.

A Rapid Algorithm for Optimal Allocation in Combinatorial Auctions (조합 경매에서의 최적 분배를 위한 빠른 알고리즘)

  • In combinatorial auctions buyers nay bid for arbitrary combinations of goods. But determining the winners of combinatorial auctions who maximize the profit of a seller is known to be NP-complete. A branch-and-bound method can be one of practical algorithm for winner determination. However, bid selection heuristics play a very important role in the efficiency of a branch-and-bound method. In this paper, we designed and implemented an algorithm which used a branch-and-bound method and Linear Programming for winner determination in combinatorial auctions. We propose new bid selection heuristics which consider a branching bid and conflicting bids simultaneously to select a branching bid in the algorithm. In addition, upper bounds are reused to reduce the running time in specific cases. We evaluated the performance of the algorithm by experiments with five data distributions and compared our method with others. The algorithm using heuristics showed a superior efficiency in two data distributions and a similar efficiency in three distributions.

  • 본 연구에서는 T-Test와 Genetic Algorithm을 사용해 Luminex 사용 환경에서 난소암을 진단할 수 있는 바이오마커의 조합을 찾고 Cancer와 Normal간의 분류 성능을 평가해 보았다. 바이오마커는 혈액, 체액 내의 특정 질환 여부나 상태를 나타내는 단백질, DNA들의 지표 물질이다. 정상인과는 다른 분포를 가진 성분이 환자의 혈액이나 체액에서 발견되면 이를 토대로 질병유무와 상태를 판단할 수 있다. 난소암을 진단할 수 있는 바이오마커 조합을 찾기 위해 T-Test와 Genetic Algorithm를 사용하여 분류성능이 좋은 바이오마커 조합을 각각 선별해 보았고, 선별된 각각의 마커조합을 선형분류기(LDA)를 사용해 평균 민감도, 특이도, 정확도를 비교해 보았다. 실험데이터는 두 곳의 병원에서 제공받은 총 58명(Cancer 27명, Normal 31명)의 혈청에서 21 종류의 바이오마커 데이터를 Luminex-PRA를 통해 얻었다. 본 연구에서는 T-Test로 만들어진 마커조합이 Genetic algorithm으로 만들어진 마커조합 보다 더 좋은 민감도, 특이도, 분류정확도를 보여주었다.

Development of Estimation of Curve Radii of Road Considering Design Consistency (설계일관성을 고려한 도로 곡선반경 산정에 관한 연구)

  • Achieving consistent geometric design is an important goal in highway design to ensure obtaining safe, economical and smooth traffic operation. Most evaluation of consistency is based on 'speed change' in speed profile. According to literature, the speed depends on geometric elements, speed on tangent section prior to a curve, and background around roads. Especially, the radius is the most main element mentioned in various literature. Therefore, this paper shows two ways of calculating horizontal radius on real road, that is, three-dimensional road. First of all, the radius of horizontal curve is calculated based on physical method. The calculated radius contains not only superelevation but also longitudinal grade while the current minimum radius is calculated by considering superelevation and side friction according to the point-mass equation. Secondly, the problem of composed curves with distorted appearance by overlaying sag or crest vertical alignment has been known. To quantify the extent of distortion effects, the method of calculation of real seen so called 'Perspective Radius' is developed. The paper presents the perspective radius and recommended perspective radius.

A Study on Optimum Design for Railway Alignment in Curve (곡선부 최적 선형 설계기법에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, Based on the optimization developed in Um et al. (2009), optimum design method of the alignment when building new lines and renewing existing ones is presented. The object function used for optimization is passenger comfort ($P_{CT}$) which was proposed in BSI (2006). Other aspects of track/vehicle interaction will be treated in boundary conditions. And track/vehicle interaction analysis is peformed using KTX-II model. From the analysis results, it was found that the optimum alignments are affected by the angle (I) between adjacent straight lines and $R-L_t$ combinations. Also the dynamic analysis confirms well the results from the simplified analysis. However, In the most cases, the $P_{CT}$ values in the dynamic analysis are higher than the simplified $P_{CT}$ values. If both methods are used when optimizing the alignment, it will be possible to design the alignments more rapidly and reliably.

  • To promote the usability of CFD techniques for the basic hull form design, a hull surface mesh generating program, based on given station offsets and centerline profile, is developed. The new method employs non-uniform parametric splines with predetermined waterline end-shapes of natural spline, normal spline, ellipse, parabola hyperbola, and their combinations. Generated hull surface meshes can be utilized for potential panel method immediately and can be also used as a boundary grid surface for 3-D field grid system. Mesh topology chosen to represent hull surface can be transformed into a rectangle, which he1ps the flow solvers to transform surface meshes for the nonlinear free surface condition or to define the turbulence quantities. To prove the applicability, a container ship with bow and stem bulb is chosen, and the procedures generating hull surface meshes are described.

Performance Assessment of Deteriorated Reinforced Concrete Bridge Columns (열화된 철근콘크리트 교각의 성능평가)

  • This paper presents a nonlinear finite element analysis procedure for the performance assessment of deteriorated reinforced concrete bridge columns. A computer program, named RCAHEST (Reinforced Concrete Analysis in Higher Evaluation System Technology), was used to analyze these reinforced concrete structures. Material nonlinearity is taken into account by comprising tensile, compressive and shear models of cracked concrete and a model of reinforcing steel. Advanced deteriorated material models are developed to predict behaviors of deteriorated reinforced concrete bridge columns. The proposed numerical method for the performance of damaged reinforced concrete bridge columns is verified by comparison with reliable experimental results.

  • The single layer latticed dome is very sensitive on the slenderness ratio and half open angle of the elements, load condition, and the connection type because it is organized by a lot of thin elements, so we have to use the geometrically nonlinear buckling load when the buckling of the structures is analyzed. But, it is very difficult to design the single layer latticed domes considered all renditions. Therefore the purpose of this paper is to propose the appropriate design method of the single layer latticed dome considered the geometrically nonlinear buckling load in base of the linear buckling load by the eigenvalue analysis.

  • The method to form the space of the pneumatic structures by internal pressure is classified greatly as the dual type with the nlty type. The shape of the pneumatic structures consists of the curved surface under uniform tension not greatly to be deformed by the design load and stress must not be concentrated also. Therefore, In this study, we have done the structural analysis of the unity typed pneumatic structures by the NASS which is the program for nonlinear analysis. The analytic model is a rectangular pneumatic membrane structures which have four side fixed edges. And we have done the nonlinear incremental analysis considering the orthotropic material.

  • The present study is concerned with the arc-length method in the investigation of the large deflection behavior of spatial structures with composite materials. This study should be able to trace the main equilibrium path by automatically varying the arc-length size of individual solution steps with the variation of the curvature of the nonlinear equilibrium path. A quasi-elastic method is used for the solution for viscoelastic analysis of the reticulated spatial structures. Elastic modulus of composite materials is defined by micro mechanical materials modeling method and nonlinear equilibrium path is traced with various load types. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the present strategies, numerical examples of reticulated spatial truss is given and compared with solutions using other methods.
