  • In this paper, author consider the nonlinear control by using feedback linearization for independent control and estimation algorithm such as speed, rotor flux and rotor resistance to achieve sensorless control of induction motor. The dynamic characteristics of the proposed nonlinear control algorithm is verified by simulation.

  • This paper deals with the optimal design of a slotless type of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM). Response surface methodology, one of the optimization methods, is used to consider multiple response of the PMLSM. That is, it is applied to obtain more average thrust and less thrust ripple than prototype PMLSM. To analyze quickly, characteristic analysis of the PMLSM is performed by space harmonic method and final results of optimized PMLSM are compare with those of prototype PMLSM through finite element analysis.

  • In difference with the rotary type electrical machinery, the linear induction motor(LIM) that generates the direct thrust directly, is widely used for the operation system of electrified railroad, elevation system, conveyer system, and so on. The operational principle of linear induction motor is constructively similar to the general rotary induction motor. It is difficult to realize the complicate linear induction motor which is applied SVPWM system, but widely used in vector motor control system or servo control system because of its high performance in current control. In this paper, we presented the dynamic characteristic analyzing methode, and calculated efficiently the end effect by using equivalent circuit methode in the operating linear induction motor control system for Maltlab simulink modeling.

  • This paper presents a speed control system for a linear induction motor(LIM) with cage-type secondary using direct thrust control(DTC). The actual speed of the LIM is detected by the linear scale with the resolution of $100{\mu}m$. Thrust correction coefficient due to the end effect of the LIM is utilized in estimating actual thrust. As a result, responses of the thrust, current, speed, and flux are shown.

L$_1$-B$_4$모드 선형 초음파 전동기의 제작과 운전 특성 (Fabrication and Operation Characteristics of Linear Ultrasonic Motor)

  • In this paper, a linear ultrasonic motor using piezoelectric ceramics was fabricated, and its operation characteristics were investigated. A linear ultrasonic motor using L$_1$-B$_4$model was composed of a stator and a rotor, and a stator was composed of piezoelectric ceramics and a elastic body. When applied frequency and voltage were 58.4kHz and 56V respectively, the feeding speed of the motor was 19.8 cm/s. A linear ultrasonic motor could be moved in left and right directions by the phase difference. Feeding speed and feeding force of a linear ultrasonic motor could be controlled by applied voltage. A linear ultrasonic motor had a droping torque-speed characteristic. The maximum efficiency of linear ultrasonic motor was 2.14%. Therefore, this linear ultrasonic motor can be expected to be used for a card-forwarding device, such as a card reader device and so on.

  • This paper describes a moving mesh technique for dynamic characteristics analysis of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor with the secondary aluminium sheet. The moving mesh technique applied to the linear induction motor can be used to analyze the linear synchronous motor with the rectangular permanent magnet. But in case of the permanent magnet with taper, the shape of the permanent magnet is presented. The time-stepped finite element method is used for the dynamic characteristics simulation of the permanent magnet linear synchronous motor, The results of application example(hysteresis current controlled inverter fed control) such as thrust, current and flux plots are shown.

  • In this paper, we studied efficiency improvement of linear ultrasonic motor using projection. The principle of ultrasonic motor is to use an elliptic motion generated at the side of the vibrator, and the elliptic motion of the ultrasonic motor was obtained by complex oscillation of L$_1$-B$_4$ mode. As the experimental results, the efficiency of linear ultrasonic motor without projection was 1.52[%] when applied voltage was 56[V] in resonance frequency 58.4[kHz]. The efficiency of linear ultrasonic motor using projection was 3.36[%] when applied voltage was 56[V] in resonance frequency 58.4[kHz]. The efficiency was improved by projection.

  • Detent force develops generally undesirable effect that contributes to the output ripple of machine, vibration and noise. This paper proposes detent force minimization techniques for a Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor (PMLSM). In addition, thrust according to each minimization technique is estimated to observe the change of machine performance. A two-dimensional Finite Element Method is used to predict detent force and thrust due to structural factors and non-linearity. And moving node technique for geometric models is proposed to reduce modeling time and efforts.

  • 본 논문에서는 전철 구동용 견인 전동기의 구동을 위한 과변조 영역에서의 NPC형 3-레벨 인버터의 출력전압 선형화 기법을 제안한다. 과변조 영역은 Modulation Index: MI에 따라서 2가지 모드로 나누었으며 과변조영역 I에서는 퓨리에 시리즈를 통한 기본파성분의 크기로 유도된 reference angle을 사용하였다. 과변조영역 II에서는 과변조영역 I과 같은 방법으로 holding angle을 구하여 사용하였다. 이 두 가지 과변조기법을 통하여 PWM 인버터 출력전압을 1펄스 모드까지 선형적으로 획득할 수 있다.

  • This paper deals with an automatic tuning method of the notch filter to suppress oscillations in a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor(PMLSM) drive. First, it saves automatically the reference torque-component current when oscillations are detected. Then the oscillation frequency of the saved data is calculated by using the fast Fourier transform(FFT) algorithm. And also the Hanning function is used to reduce the leakage components due to the aperiodic measurement data. Finally, the proposed method tunes the notch filter to suppress oscillations. Experimental results on the test rig show the validity of the proposed method.
