In this study, we examined the motivations of using Kakaotalk's gift that is one of services provided by Kakaotalk, the most popular mobile-based messenger. We also investigated possible effects of these motivations on the satisfaction of the Kakaotalk's service and a potential association of these motivations with the frequency of purchasing gifts using the service. In order to answer the research questions, we conducted a survey that recruited 220 users ranging from teenagers to in forties. As the main results of analysis, we identified four different types of user's motivations for Kakaotalk's gift: beneficial motivation, convenient motivation, improvised buying motivation, and entertaining motivation. Both the beneficial motivation and the entertaining motivation were significantly associated with the gratification of using Kakaotalk's gift, which was in turn significantly associated with the frequency of purchasing gifts through the service.
Since a smart phone has been popular, 91% of the internet users are utilizing the technology in all places for chatting and messenger which overtake share of voice and visual call utilization. The phenomenon is remarkable to young generations between teenager and thirties, which leads to mobile messenger shopping such as mobile digital voucher and coupon buy. In this research, we clarify whether traditional gift-giving motivations works on digital coupon gift-giving, and two technology acceptance model factors: perceived usefulness and ease of use affects between motivations and intention to gift-giving. The result shows three traditional gift-giving motivations: experiential, obligated and practical attitude affects intention to digital mobile coupon gift-giving and ease of use of the digital mobile coupon works parameter of the relation rather than usefulness. In other words, gift-giving purpose digital coupon users give a gift with traditional gift-giving motivation but has the stronger intetnion to gift-giving by technology ease of use.
Consumers purchase gifts for themselves and for others. This research examined whether one's preferred purchase type (material or experiential) would depend on the gift recipient (self or others). A total of 200 participants took part in online studies via Amazon Mechanical-Turk. Based on the construal-level theory, people will focus on concrete product attributes for psychologically close objects; however, for psychologically distant objects, people will concentrate on abstract product attributes. Study 1 demonstrated that participants preferred material over experiential purchases in self-gifting situations, while they preferred experiential compared to material gifts for others. In Study 2, it was found that individual differences in emotional disconnection moderated the effect of gift recipient on preferred gift type. Specifically, the differences in preferred gift type increased as one's emotional disconnection level increased. The results of this research have theoretical implications in terms of extending construal-level theory to gift-purchasing behaviors. Furthermore, this research has practical implications for marketers and advertisers. Limitations and possible future research directions were also discussed.
The purpose of this article is to show profit margin hedging can be an optimal strategy in crude oil purchasing. This study theoretically analyzes profit margin hedging strategy is optimal in crude oil purchasing using expected target utility function and conducts simulations to show if the profit margin hedging is profitable. In addition, this study tests existence of mean reversion of crude oil futures prices to confirm the theory that profit margin hedging is more profitable than other strategies, such as always hedging or buying at expiration with spot price, if futures prices are mean reverting. The simulation results show that the expected utility of profit margin hedging higher than other strategies. Although we cannot find any evidence that crude oil futures prices follow mean reverting process, we can conclude that profit margin hedging can be optimal strategy in crude oil purchasing based on theoretical proof and simulation results.

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between gender, gift recipient, and group identity by product category of Korean consumers. 672 usable questionnaires from South Korea completed a self- administered survey with a five-point Likert scale. This questionnaire evaluated the perceived importance of group identity when buying apparel and electronics as a gift for kin, nonkin, and co-workers. The interaction between gender, gift recipient, and group identity were statistically significant. The results suggest that the importance of group identity may vary when gender and gift recipient differ by product category. Recommendations for future research are discussed.
본 연구는 두 가지 선물상황(생일, 크리스마스)과 선물수용자(가족, 친구)에서 성별에 따라 선물 속성지각에 차이가 있는지를 밝히고자 하였다. 질문지를 이용하여 미국 남녀 비자 97명을 대상으로 자료수집 하였으며, 자료분석을 위해 MANOVA(Multivariate Analysis of Variable)를 실행하였다.

As the production of new and renewable energy such as solar and wind power has diversified, microgrid systems that can simultaneously produce and consume have been introduced. In general, a decrease in electricity prices through solar power is expected in summer, so producer protection is required. In this paper, we propose a transparent and safe gift power transaction system between users using blockchain in a microgrid environment. A futures is simply a contract in which the buyer is obligated to buy electricity or the seller is obliged to sell electricity at a fixed price and a predetermined futures price. This system proposes a futures trading algorithm that searches for futures prices and concludes power transactions with automated operations without user intervention by using a smart contract, a reliable executable code within the blockchain network. If a power producer thinks that the price during the peak production period is likely to decrease during production planning, it sells futures first in the futures market and buys back futures during the peak production period to make a profit in the spot market. losses can be compensated. In addition, if there is a risk that the price of electricity will rise when a sales contract is concluded, a broker can compensate for a loss in the spot market by first buying futures in the futures market and liquidating futures when the sales contract is fulfilled.

This study aims to suggest basic data for developing forest product in Jeongeup City by surveying and analyzing consumer awareness and purchasing behavior. A survey was conducted focusing on local tourist attractions in Jeongeup City, and the analysis was conducted on 234 people. Among the local specialty processed products that the survey participants had experience in purchasing, food was mainly tea, concentrate solution, liquor, snacks and fruit syrup/enzyme. The therapy was shown in order of soap, aroma oil, and lotion. It was found that the purchase cost was more than 10,000 won and less than 30,000 won. Major purchase uses were for direct use and gifts, and 56.8% of the customers were satisfied with the satisfaction of the products, which were found to be purchased because of their good quality, good gift, and good health functions. In the question of 11 kinds of forest products, the subjects were aware of bokbunja, balloon flower, wild flower, deodeok, bracken, durum, and mal, among which bokbunja and wild flower were recognized as the representative forest products of Jeongeup. A cluster of food and therapy product selection attributes was analyzed to find target consumers. As the group that is interested in forest products and values the safety and quality of products is highly recognized, the value of forest products should be increased in consideration of the quality and safety of forest products when developing products in the future.
