In this paper, the problems on Windows application for finite element structural analysis softwares are presented. These Windows application programs provide the better graphical representation of structural geometry through the GUI, and provide the integrated environment for managing various processors such as a preprocessor and a postprocessor. Two examples show the efficiency of this system which can represent various inputs and outputs concurrently on multi-windows by dialog-type.

The effect of phosphate on the production of erythritol and gluconic acid during the batch fermentation of Candida magnoliae SR101 was investigated. In the flask culture experiments, the results showed that phosphate concentration affected the production of erythritol and gluconic acid in Candida magnoliae. In the tormentor experiments, the increase of phosphate concentration of medium up to 10 g/L increased the gluconic acid, while the maximum erythritol concentration was 121.7 g/L from 250 g/L glucose and 3 g/L $KH_2PO_4$

This paper considers the problem of global adaptive regulation for a class of nonlinear systems which have multiple unknown virtual control coefficient. By using a new parameter estimator and backstepping technique, we design a smooth state feedback control law, parameter update laws that estimate the unknown virtual control coefficients, and a continuously differentiable Lyapunov function which is positive definite and proper.

Objectives : Sojadodamgangki-tang and its main components are traditional korean medicinal methods for treatment of cough, sputum and dyspnea. Using a respiratory inflammatory model, we intend to reveal the anti-inflammatory effect and its immune mechanism of Sojadodamgangki-tang. Methods : We used a papain-induced respiratory inflammatory mouse model. 8-week-old female BALB/C mice were divided into 3 groups as follows: the following groups: saline control group, papain treated group (vehicle), papain and Sojadodamgangki-tang(200 mg/kg) treated group (n=4). To evaluate the anti-inflammatory effect of Sojadodamgangki-tang extracts, inflammatory cell infiltration was measured in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and nasal lavage fluid (NALF). In addition, the effects of Sojadodamgangki-tang extracts on Th2 cell population in lung were determined by using flow cytometry. Results : Sojadodamgangki-tang extracts administration reduced inflammatory cell infiltration in BALF and NALF, especially of eosinophils. Furthermore, total immunogloblin (Ig)-E levels was reduced in BALF and serum by drug administration. Interestingly, Sojadodamgangki-tang extracts treatment also decreased the Th2 cell (CD4⁺GATA3⁺) population in lung. Conclusions : Our findings indicate Sojadodamgangki-tang extracts have anti-inflammatory effects by mediating Th2 cell and B cell activation.

본 연구에서는 플라즈마 장치의 광 특성과 접촉각 특성을 조사하여 스마트폰에 사용되는 강화유리 표면의 친수성 특성을 알아 보였다. 본 연구에서 공정 가스의 분압과 입력 전압의 정도에 대한 강화유리 표면의 친수화 정도를 조사하였다. 각 변수에 따라 아르곤 가스의 이온화 정도에 따라 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서, 강화유리 표면은 처리되기 전과 비교하여 접촉각의 변화나 광방출 특성에서 나타난 것들을 토대로 친수화가 되었음을 알 수 있었다.

Objective : This study is designed to provide clinical data about patients of scoliosis for clinicians. Methods : We investigated 112 patients who have signs and symptoms of scoliosis. visited Vertebral -Joint Center of Conmaul Oriental Medical Hospital from January 2003 to July 2004. We measured Cobb's angle in the 112 patients' X-ray of full spine AP and lateral view and also analyzed age, sex, chief complaints. Results : 1. We investigated 72 female and 40 male patients. The most common distribution of age was 20's in both sex. 2. In the scoliosis angle : The average scoliosis angle was $9.27^{\circ}{\pm}6.06^{\circ}$ in 112 patients. The average scoliosis angle of 40 male patients was$8.9^{\circ}{\pm}6.77^{\circ}$. The average scoliosis angle of 72 female patients was $9.48^{\circ}{\pm}5.67^{\circ}$. 3. The most common region of scoliosis was thoracic spine with 37 patients. 4. The most common chief complaint was low back pain with 69 patients. In the 48 patients. self awareness of scoliosis was included in the chief complaint.

Objective : This study was designed to research the effect of the korean traditional herbal medicine and oriental psychotheraphy on globus hytericus and swallowing difficulty caused by conversion disorder. Methods : A 10 years old male patient suffer from globus sensation and swallowing difficulty for 2 months. We treated him with the korean traditional herbal medicine(Banhahubak-tang) and oriental psychotheraphy for 27 days. Results : After this treatment, globus sensation and swallowing difficulty were decreased and appetite were increased. In addition, compulsion had been severe and it was improved after this treatment. Conclusions : Psychiatrists have reported that conversion disorder is not common in children especially under 10 years old. Globus hystericus, dysphagia is symptoms of conversion disoder but globus hystericus is very rare in childhood. In this case, we recognized that the korean traditional herbal medicine and oriental psychotheraphy could be effective for the clinical symptoms of globus hystericus and swallowing difficulty.

Objective : The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of breath meditation with neurofeedback on memory, concentration of healthy adult volunteers Method 25 healthy adult volunteers were divided into two groups. One group was treated with breath meditation and real neurofeedback, but the other group was administered with breath meditation and sham neurofeedback three times a week for 10 sessions, Before and after 10 sessions neurofeedback, all subjects were measured by cognitive functions assessment, heart rate variability, BDI, STAI, K-WAIS, HRSD, VAS about amnesia. Results : 1. Breath Meditation decreased error rate and increased concentration, cognition strength, and success rate of Cognitive Functions Assessment. Also, Breath Medication elevated IQ score of K-WAIS short form. 2. Sham : neurofeedback increased concentration, cognition strength compared to Real neurofeedback. Conclusion : The results suggest that breath meditation might effect cognitive function of healthy adult positively, but neurofeedback is not clear. In order to prove whether neurofeedback is effective or not, it should be studied more.

Applying damping sheets or dampers (dynamic or mass) can reduce noise from vibrating structure as well as vibration. However, this approach requires increases of weight and cost. If one can reduce structural noise by only modifying the structural shape, which would be the best practice. It is natural that the noise characteristics change when the structure is modified, but the recent experiment on the sunroof frame showed that the modification of the frame beads results in change of the structural damping, so that the corresponding noise can be reduced. In this context, the reason why the structural damping and the related noise upon an impact excitation is changed is theoretically investigated. The change of dynamic and damping characteristics of the strip panels when their shapes are modified is experimentally found and it is shown that such behaviours can be predicted by computer simulation. Some experimental specimen, mainly strip-type panels, are examined for the numerical verification, and especially damping ratios are investigated.
