90년대 초반부터 독서생활의 실천을 강조하며 어린이 독서지침서나 이론서들이 나오기 시작했다. 그러나 논술에 짜맞춘 수업용 지도서들은 교육보다 상혼에 기대 있고, 어린이 독서교육의 진지한 고민보다는 오히려 즐거운 책읽기를 방해하는 경우도 있다.

The study examined the relationship between servant leadership and organizational commitment and tested the mediating role of the organizational trust between the two variables. Measurement of servant leadership used intactly 23 items of a preceding research. Empirical analysis result can be summarized as follows. Firstly. the servant leadership has positive influence on organizational trust. Secondly. servant leadership has significant influence on affective commitment and normative commitment, but could not reach the significance level for continuance commitment. Lastly, this study was proved there was an partial mediating effect of organizational trust, between the servant leadership and affective commitment, normative commitment, but could not reach the significance level for continuance commitment. And if the organizational trust is higher, the extent of the servant leadership's influence on organizational commitment would be higher.

As vocabulary acquisition has become one of the emerging key issues in the foreign language education field, interest in vocabulary learning strategies (VLS) has also increased. However, little has been done to investigate the vocabulary learning strategies of young learners. Therefore, this study attempts to investigate VLS use in elementary school English language textbooks. A total of three fifth grade English textbooks and teachers' guidebooks were chosen and analyzed with the vocabulary learning strategies taxonomy suggested by Scbmitt (1997). The researcher identified there were only a limited number of vocabulary learning strategies in the textbooks and most of them were consolidation strategies. It was concluded that a variety of VLS should be introduced in multiple ways in consideration of learner preference, styles, culture and level of English proficiency. Some implications for the teaching and learning of vocabulary for EFL instruction amongst young learners are discussed.

The purpose of this study id to delve into how elementary mathematics textbook deal with the quadrilaterals from a view of Didactic Transposition Theory. Concerning the instruction period and order, we have concluded the following: First, the instruction period and order of quadrilaterals were systemized when the system of Euclidian geometry was introduced, and have been modified a little bit since then, considering the psychological condition of students. Concerning the definition and presentation methods of quadrangles, we have concluded the following: First, starting from a mere introduction of shape, the definition have gradually formed academic system, as the requirements and systemicity were taken into consideration. Second, when presenting and introducing the definition, quadrilaterals were connected to real life. Concerning the contents and methods of instruction, we have concluded the following: First, the subject of learning has changed from textbook and teachers to students. Second, when presenting and introducing the definition, quadrilaterals were connected to real life. Third, when instructing the characteristics and inclusive relation, students could build up their knowledge by themselves, by questions and concrete operational activities. Fourth, constructions were aimed at understanding of the definition and characteristics of the figures, rather than at itself.

This paper examined vocabulary used in elementary mathematics textbooks and workbooks for the grade band of 5~6. This study focused on the adequacy of vocabulary using 9-degree of semantic difficulty. The results of this study showed that most vocabulary in the textbooks and workbooks was adequate for the target grades. In some cases, however, vocabulary that was supposed to be difficult for the fifth and sixth graders was employed in a way that the meaning of such vocabulary was difficult for students to infer in the given context. The most frequent vocabularies in the main activities of the mathematics textbooks included 'method', 'investigate', 'number', 'communicate', and 'represent'. Based on these results, this study provides 5~6 grade textbook writers with implications on what to further consider in dealing with vocabulary in instructional materials.

The aim of this study is to select lesson contents of "Manufacturing Processes" textbook and to provide means to improve the compilation strategy based on the 2007 revised national curriculum. For accomplishing this purpose of the study, reviews of "Manufacturing Processes" textbook by 7th national curriculum and questionaries are conducted. Contents organization of lessons is done by specialists. The results are as followed: first, Changing in contents organization of units and chapters in "Manufacturing Processes" textbook based on the 2007 Revised National Curriculum is confirmed. Second, learning subjects of lessons are reformed and complemented. Third, contents organization of units, chapters, lessons are indicated.
