The Effect of Spacing of Transverse Steel on R/C Column Laterally Reinforced with Head Subjected to Eccentric Loading (Head로 횡구속된 편심하중을 받는 R/C기둥의 띠철근비의 영향)

  • This study investigated the behavior of R/C column confined with headed crossties subjected to eccentric loading. The 16 specimens are designed to have adequate confinement steel, determined by ACI seismic design. The variables studied in this research test are eccentricity to depth ratios, spacing of lateral steel and the anchor type of end of crossties. From the test results, all columns showed similar behavior up to the peak load but those columns laterally confined with head presented more ductile behavior after the peak load. The comparisons indicate that the flexural behavior of confined-concrete columns can be computed resonable accurately by P-M interaction curve.

  • This study was conducted to develop the crack location technique for CFRP reinforced concrete beam using AE method. To experimentally prove the crack source location made of four reinforced concrete beams strengthened in shear with CFRP. The results compared the real cracking location with the source location has perceived by AE monitoring, before it is appeared the primary crack by visual observation. So, This study used by a basic data in constructing the system of the failure warning at application.

  • Strengthening method using CFS have been developed for the rehabilitation of structures. However, it is very difficult to estimate their resistance capacity after retrofit. Therefore, damage information for strengthened structure with CFS investigated and the estimation method structural capacity by using the damage information is developed. The final objective of this research work is to propose the guideline and method for resistance capacity estimate of structure. In this paper, experimental study result with test parameters of number of carbon fiber sheets and bonding ratio is introduced.

  • In recent years, carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP) has been widely used for reinforcement of damaged concrete structures. However, the fundamental mechanisms of load transfer and load-resistance for reinforced concrete beams retrofitted by CFRP are not fully understood. Acoustic emission(AE) technique was used to evaluate the characteristics of damage progress and the failure mechanism of reinforced concrete beams retrofitted by CFRP. In this study, three-paint-bending test has been carried out to investigate the AE characteristics of four specimens. The results show that the AE technique is a valuable tool to study the failure mechanism of reinforced concrete beams retrofitted by CFRP.

  • The main objective of this study was to evaluated the physical properties of concrete with substitution ratio of recycled fine aggregate and recycled coarse aggregate made of waste concrete. The replacement ratios of recycled coarse and fine aggregate decided 0%, 30%, 40% and 50% respectively to get the deregulate of floor space Index. The test result showed that compression strength of cylinder mold decrease with the substitution ratio increase but its strength of replaced recycled fine aggregate higher than OPC.

  • The objective of this paper is to investigate the effective width of wide beam. Three specimens were designed to have different depths of wide beam and to simulate exterior beam-column joint including spandrel beam. Load reversals were applied to the end of wide beam to model behaviors under seismic situation. From the test, it was shown that the strength and effective width of specimens were improved when the depth of specimens increased. The effective width of wide beam depended on the depth of it. Formulas in ACI 318-02 underestimated the effective width of wide beam even though these reflected the contribution of the depth of beam.

  • 다양한 경로를 통하여 입수할 수 있는 지리적인 정보는 지도 흑은 해도, 표, 그래프, 좌표난 다른 형태 등 다양한 형태로 표현되고 전자해도도 이러한 다양한 표현수단중 하나이다. 전자해도(ENC)는 지리적인 정보, 즉 지리적인 이름과 수심, 등심선 등의 수치와 해도, 표, 그래프 등 도형들의 집합물로서 이를 전자해도의 국제규격인 S-57 format으로 표현하고 ENC product specification에 따라 체계적인 형태로 저장된 데이터로 이는 저작권법이 규정하고 있는 데이터 베이스의 정의에 부합하는 저작물이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 전자해도의 발행 목적은 바다에서 안전을 책임지는 것이고 환경 보호에 기여하는 것으로 이들 디지털 해도 시스템은 off-shore 산업 환경과 지질학상의 행정과 같이 해상에 대한 적용뿐만 아니라 상업적 해운업, 해군 작전, 어업선과 레져, 선박과 같은 곳에서 사용된다. 따라서 앞으로 계속하여 증가될 전자해도의 수요증대 및 활성화를 대비하여 다양한 수요자의 요구를 충족시킬 뿐 만 아니라 업무의 효율을 기할 수 있는 공식적인 디지털 항해 상품의 공급방안, 가격결정 및 관리 시스템이 구축되어야 하고, 전자해도 데이터의 다양한 응용과 관련하여 공급된 데이터의 사용 및 변형범위와 데이터의 오류로 인한 피해 발생 시 책임소재 등의 문제들이 검토되어야 한다.

The Study on Rigidity Index of the Soft Clay in Korea (국내 연약지반의 강성지수(Ir)에 관한 연구)

  • Several soil parameters can be calculated for results of Piezocone test; sensitivity, soil classification, OCR, undrained shear strength, coefficient of consolidation etc., and used to analysis geotechnical problems. Particularly, the coefficient of consolidation which is related to degree of consolidation varies according to rigidity index(I/sub r/). In this study, rigidity index(I/sub r/) was analyzed by Roy's formula. Trixial tests and unconfined compression tests data in the ten sites was analyzed. In conclusion, rigidity index(I/sub r/) was suggested such as rigidity index(I/sub r/) = 15∼60, average rigidity index value(I/sub r/) of approximately 33 within a country.

  • Polycrystalline diamond films are deposited by using a microwave plama CVC system, where the bias-enhanced nucleation (BEN) method is employed. Effects of the varying microwave power, the surface treatment by hydrogen plasma, and the cyclic hydrogen etching during deposition on the crystallinity as well as on the surface roughness of deposited films are examined by Raman spectroscopy, SEM, and AFM. A novel method for achieving a smoother diamond surface is also suggested through the indirect wafer bonding and back-side polishing.

  • The IGBT(Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) is a power semiconductor device that has gained acceptance among power electronic circuit design engineers for motor drive and Power converter applications. The device-circuit interaction of power insulated gate bipolar transistor for a series-inductor load, both with and without a snubber are, simulated. An analytical model for the transient operation of the IGBT is used in conjunction with the load circuit state equations for the simulations.
