A Study on the Public Traffic Policy in Information Age: Focused on the Bus Quasi-Public Operating System in Gwang-ju Metropolitan City (정보화시대의 대중교통정책 : 광주광역시의 버스준공영제를 중심으로)

  • As one of the most traffic devices, bus has played a great role in Korea for the last years. However, a great many peoples in big cities have continually decreased with the increase of private car ownership. It causes lower quality of bus service and unstability of operation in many bus companies. In the several local government, the operation system of bus was changed to Bus Quasi-Public Operating System. The aim of this study is to assess the effects and to suggest improvement strategies of Bus QPOS. According to the results of the analysis, Bus QPOS has brought various positive effects, but it has occurred negative effects, especially a much increase of government subsidies to bus company. To resolve a negative effects, government should examine the whole condition of bus operations. This study suggests strategies to improve Bus QPOS, which is including transparency of management, fair assessment system, standard cost system for bus operations.

  • 경영성과(經營成果)의 평가지표(評價指漂)는 개별조직의 목표와 제약환경, 즉 이용가능한 자원량과 개별적 특수요인 등을 고려하여 설정하여야 하며, 산업내의 특성과 동질적 비교집단을 이해함으로써 조직의 성과와 직접적으로 연결될 수 있어야 한다. 또한 조직의 평가는 부분적(部分的)인 효율성(效率性)에 편중되지 않고 투입과 산출간의 유기적인 관계를 총체적인 관점에서 분석함으로써 종합적(綜合的) 효율성(效率性)에 그 촛점이 두어져야 한다. 이러한 문제의 인식에 바탕을 두어 본 연구에서는 Charnes, Cooper와 Rhodes(1978)에 의해 처음 개발되어 주로 비영리기관의 경영성과의 평가에 많이 사용하여 온 DEA(Data Envelopment Analysis)기법을 이용하여 금융기관(金融機關)의 효율성(效率性)을 평가(評價)한다. 금융기관은 다양한 투입요소를 사용하여 다양한 서비스 상품을 제공하는 조직이기 때문에, 또 재무비율을 이용한 기존의 평가나 통계적 생산함수의 추정에 의한 평가방법은 단순히 과거의 실적을 평가하는 데 그치게 되고 객관성이 결여되기 쉽기 때문에 조직의 미래운영방향의 설정에 도움이 되지 못한다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 그러나, DEA은 다수의 투입과 산출요소를 요구하는 경우에 적합하게 설계된 분석방법이므로 금융기관의 성과분석에 적절하게 이용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 먼저 금융기관(金融機關)의 효율성(效率性)을 평가(評價)하는 기존의 방법을 간략하게 검토한 다음, DEA에 관한 이론적 기초와 그 특성을 검토한다. 실증분석에서는 여 수신업무(與 受信業務)를 수행하고 있는 국내금융기관들 중에서 자료의 동질성과 표본대상 기업의 수를 고려하여 은행업(銀行業)과 투자금융업(投資金融業)을 선정하고 이들 업종에 속한 37개 회사들에 대한 운영효율성(運營效率性)을 측정한다. 투입요소로 직원의 수와 영업비용을, 그리고 산출요소로 영업수익과 경상이 익을 선정하고, 3년간의 자료를 사용하여 실증분석을 한다. 분석의 결과에 의하면, 18개 전체 은행의 평균적인 효율성의 정도는 가장 효율적인 은행을 기준으로 할 때, 약 85% 수준에 그치고 있어서, 나머지 대부분의 은행들 특히 대규모 시중은행들의 경영상의 개선의 여지가 매우 크다고 할 수 있다. 5대 시중은행들간에는 효율성의 차이가 거의 없는 반면, 지방은행들간에는 매우 큰 차이가 있는 것으로 나타난다. 이는 영업지역의 제한으로 인하여 지역경제 규모가 은행의 수지상황에 결정적인 영향을 미치고 있다는 것을 반영하고 있다. 29개 단자회사를 대상으로 한 투자금융업의 경우에도 은행업의 경우와 동일하게 낮은 효율성과 지역간 격차현상이 나타나고 있다.

Frequency Domain Turbo Equalization for Multicode DS-CDMA in Frequency Selective Fading Channel (다중 확산 부호를 사용한 DS-CDMA에 대한 주파수 선택적 페이딩 채널에서 주파수 영역 터보 등화 기법)

  • The higher data rate of mobile communications has been required for various multimedia services. In DS-CDMA system, one of the solutions to increase the throughput is to use multicode. However, multipath channel destorys the orthogonality of spreading codes, which causes the intercede interference(ICI). ICI gives severe effect on multicode DS-CDMA for BER performance. Conventionally, multicode DS-CDMA system uses the Rake receiver with turbo code, which cannot overcome error floor caused by ICI. In this paper, we propose frequency domain turbo equalization based on minimum mean squared error(FDTE-MMSE) for multicode DS-CDMA in frequency selective channel and evaluate its BER performance by computer simulation. The simulation results show that FDTE-MMSE gives much better performance in high Eb/N0 than the Rake receiver with turbo code in multipath length L>1.

  • Opened platform is called that anybody can be a producer and consumer in some platform. And many opened platforms are using in various area such as general goods, smart phone application and contents. In this paper, we will propose the opened platform system for the problems for evaluation the level of learners. Any user can register problems as public or private-type in this system and use them. So our proposed system has the advantage in selecting the high quality problems by continuous reviews about that even after they have been registered. Proposed system has three different modules such as submit, evaluate and produce problems modules. A user can submit various kind of problems in the submit module. The evaluation module is a module that allows the user who is not the problem registrant to evaluate the registered problem. The production module can use the registered problems for online and offline evaluation.

  • In this paper, we propose mobile ad hoc network configuration and its autonomous network construction method for efficiency and scalability of media streaming for mobile smart devices. To provide scalable network configuration for streaming traffic distribution, an IEEE 802.11 infrastructure network and ad hoc networks are hierarchically built. The proposed method autonomously configures a hierarchical streaming network by competition based on performance and states of devices and the wireless network, not depending on any specific nodes. Finally, we conduct performance measurement for the proposed configuration and analyze the experimental result.

  • Nowadays contents of crimes are complicated and diversified because of differentiation and specialization of society. For this reason, special judicial police officer system that each special field officers investigate crimes related to their special fields is introduced to produce high quality private law service. Nevertheless, special judicial police officers who deal with fire crimes show many problems because they have less experiences and ability about investigation than general judicial police officers. Then, purpose of this study is deduction problems by analyzing cases of fire crimes and suggesting improvements which are ways to improve special judcial police officers's who investigate fire crimes efficiencies and professionalisms. Problems about investigation of fire crimes are absence of professional investigation agency, a shortage of professional workforce, absence of professional investigation officers education system. Improvements are creation professional investigation agency, securing experts, developing professional investigation officers education system, construction professional techniques manage system, introduction fire crime cases manage system.

Difference of Conflict Levels of Nurses and Nurse-aids against Doctors (의사와의 관계에서 간호사와 간호조무사의 갈등수준 비교)

  • This study seeks to measure the level and root causes of occupational and interpersonal conflicts between nurses and nurse aids against hospital doctors, in order to help increase motivation of both groups in their workplace and enable more effective nursing care to patients. 271 nurses and nurse-aids working in small- and medium-sized hospitals were therefore given a series of surveys on topics such as conflicts with doctors, communications, cause of conflicts and solutions. Analysis of the survey result shows that both nurses and nurse-aids share relatively similar level and causes of conflicts in their place of work; however, nurse-aids felt more stress when their responsibilities seem to be duplicated or blurred from those of doctors and nurses. When conflicts actually occur with doctors, both groups would first try to avoid it one way or another. Then, nurses would make others cave in or file complaints through union, while nurse aides would seek help from supervisors or try to meet them half way.

Vicarious Trauma and Posttraumatic Growth in Emergency Workers, Subway Operators, and Child Protective Service Workers (응급구조원, 지하철 승무원, 아동보호전문기관 사회복지사의 대리 외상과 외상 후 성장)

  • Certain professionals face repeated exposure to traumatic events throughout their career. Although typically linked to pathological outcomes, research has identified sustained positive benefits and posttraumatic growth (PTG) as consistent posttrauma outcomes in occupational exposed to trauma. This study investigated the association of occupation, subjective psychological distress to a traumatic event, and demographic characteristics with posttraumatic growth in emergency workers (firefighters, rescue, and ambulance personnel), subway operators, and child protective service workers. The study led to the following conclusions: First, all three groups are risk groups of PTSD, especially, subway operators demonstrated the highest degree. Child protective service workers demonstrated the highest degree of PTG and emergency workers and subway operators followed respectively. Second, vicarious trauma and PTG were significantly correlated, in particular, invasion and avoidance were more highly correlated. Third, multivariate analysis revealed that occupation, invasion, avoidance, religion, and sex were significantly associated with PTG. Discussion addresses the need to serve mental health service and to apply concept of PTG for occupations exposed to trauma.

User Experience and Satisfaction of Augmented Reality Applications -Focused on Chinese Fashion Consumers (증강현실 어플리케이션의 사용자 경험과 만족도 연구 -중국의 패션 소비자를 중심으로)

  • This study investigated the factors affecting the satisfaction of augmented reality (AR) fashion application focusing on user experience. The survey was conducted on 280 Chinese users who had used AR fashion applications. The results are summarized as follows. User experience had a significant effect on presence, flow, and satisfaction. Personalization service also increased user satisfaction. Presence influenced flow which enhanced satisfaction, indicating that presence had an indirect effect on satisfaction through flow. The results are expected to provide strategic implications by identifying factors that should be considered to help consumers experience products and improve satisfaction with applications in various industries focusing on augmented reality technology.

Modeling and Simulation of Electric Vehicle Sharing System for Optimized Operation (전기차 카셰어링 시스템 최적화를 위한 모델링 및 시뮬레이션)

  • Electric vehicle car sharing (EV-sharing) system is noted as an eco-friendly system of transportation in global warming crisis and has been practically implemented in some cities around the world. However, methodologies to find the efficient operation conditions of EV-sharing systems reflecting a typical characteristic 'charging' have not been fully investigated yet. In the paper a generalized model has been developed to identify optimal level of infrastructure for EV-sharing system which provides the optimum operation efficiency under service level constraints. From the simulation analysis based on the developed model the relationships between the operational variables to describe EV-sharing system have been identified and optimal capacity to maximize the operational efficiency have been found. From the analysis of simulation results it has been found that increases in the number of vehicles and chargers improve the service level until certain value beyond which increasing rate and the efficiency have been reduced. From the cost-revenue analysis the optimal numbers of vehicles and chargers have been identified which maximizes the annual operational profit.
