The care market has a unique characteristic that cannot be understood only by pure consumerism. It is not simply constituted by the relationship between consumers and providers at a uni-dimensional level of consumerism logic; rather, it operates in the tripartite-dimensional relationship between the state, consumers and providers through the design and regulation of policies by the state(Evers 1994). The unit costs of long-term care insurance has a meaning as the signal of state for policy direction. This paper consists three contents. The first, it provides to examine the developing process and method of the unit costs of long-term care and to define the characteristics of the developing method of unit costs of the Korean Long term care Insurance. The second, it tried to evaluate the adequacy, validity, and equity of unit costs of care. The third, it proposed the policy direction and measures focused on state's role as price determinator and regulator of care market in that unit costs of care is very important factors for formation and operating of care market.

It is difficult to expect the service improvements such as increased number of sailing and making new ship due to financial difficulty this is caused by deterioration of island dwellers. In addition, the safety of ship operation is also a problem with the supply of good sailors difficult problem of low wages and lack of safety working environment. T It is necessary to ensure the introduction of public operating system in coastal passenger shipping business to secure the public and safety. There are many practical constraints but if we obtain public sea ways, it will be possible to improve the operating system through the implementation from a subsidized line and taking off business licenses of an insolvent enterprise by enhancing safety control.

The purpose of this study is to identify how to efficiently integrate long-term care facilities into geriatric hospitals. We conducted a survey on the current operations of facilities and medical services of 2009 of 192 long-term facilities and 168 geriatric hospitals in Korea between October and November. Technical statistics and chi-square test were conducted on the collected data using the SPSS 13.0/Win program. There was a difference between the two facility types in terms of the co-payment levels of the food services. Both types selected the budget deficit as their major management problem. Ease of access and the surrounding environment were critical factors used to select the location of both types of facilities. Facility users benefited from the discounted co-payments of both facility types. However, facility users wanted more frequent visits and support from their family members during their stay at the facilities. It was discovered that users in the long-term care facilities stayed longer, that is until they died, compared to their counterparts in geriatric hospitals. The two types of facilities provided their services totally separately to users. Users of the two types of facilities are poorly supported and cared for by their families. This study suggests that setting reasonable service fees, paying caretakers, introducing an integrated facility, strengthening facility assessment standards, introducing the family doctor system, and introducing the handling of long-term care insurance by geriatric hospitals would allow the integration between long- term care facilities and geriatric hospitals to be beneficial.

This study investigated what the general public thinks about the shipping industry and how important it is. As a result of the study, more than half of the respondents answered that they knew a little about the shipping industry or that they were normally knew about the shipping industry. Regarding the necessity of budget input to prevent bankruptcy of national shipping companies, it was found that more than half of the respondents answered that it was necessary or moderate. Regarding the necessity of maintaining a national shipping companies, 53% of respondents said it was necessary, and 23% of respondetns said it was normal. However, when asked if they thought that maintaining a national shipping companies would benefit me and my family, 39% of respondetns answered "normal" and 28% of respondetns answered "mostly". As for the cause of Hanjin Shipping's bankruptcy, 49% of respondents said that the owners' family members were immoral and incompetent, and 17.4% of respondetns said that the shipping market conditions deteriorated. Regarding the necessity of fostering the shipping industry, foreign currency acquisition and service balance improvement through export of shipping services accounted for 43.5%, and smooth transportation of import and export cargo accounted for 36.5%. When asked what kind of damage I suffered from Hajin Shipping's bankruptcy, 54.6% answered other (not much), and 14.5% said inflation. Abouve these results, this study gave implication in terms of public promotion and transparent business management.

The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of macroeconomic variables on the hotel profitability and suggest the reasonable way to handle them. To achieve this purpose, seven macroeconomic variables were used as an independent variable. These were the index of industrial production, West Texas Intermediate, the consumer price index, the unemployment rate, the money supply, the trade balance and the exchange rate. And ROA and ROE of total hotels were used as a dependant variable respectively. As the result of regression, it was found that the index of industrial production and the exchange rate had a significant and positive effect on ROA. And West Texas Intermediate, the consumer price index and the unemployment rate had a significant and negative effect on ROA. Also the consumer price index and the unemployment rate had a significant and negative effect on ROE and the exchange rate had a significant and positive effect on ROE. Through the analysis two key variables were found to be very important ones. These were the unemployment rate and the exchange rate. So the hotel managers need to emphasize on the good price of domestic hotel products and supply the various productions and services to the guests when the exchange rate is increased. But when the unemployment rate is increased, the hotel managers should consider to supply the middle price products with the hight price products.

The Seoul City Government recently reformed the entire public transport system in an effort to prevent further deterioration in urban bus system's performance and service level. To analyze into impact on the productivity of Seoul's urban bus firms, this paper measures firm-level technical efficiency and productivity change with data envelopment analysis and Malmquist index approach. The paper then conceptualizes that these forms produce three kinds of output (bus-kilometers, passengers, or bus-kilometers and passengers) using five inputs (driver, maintenance, management, vehicle and fuel). The findings show that most (over one half) firms experienced a decline (an improvement) in productivity in the case of specifying only bus-kilometers (passengers) as output. As a result, it is discovered that an average firm had no change in productivity in the case of combining bus-kilometers and passengers as output. This is because the efficiency of an average firm declined due to increase in employees per bus and to an decrease in kilometers per bus. while its effectiveness improved due to an increase in passengers per bus which was caused by an increase in routes and a change in fare structure.

The launch of internet-only banks has brought many changes. As the existing commercial banks and internet-only banks have started the infinite competition, the maintenance of relationships with customers or the creation of new customers is important. For this, it is meaningful to understand the aspect of customers' perception of value. Thus, this study conducted the empirical analysis on the attitude of the existing phone-banking users after the launch of internet-only banks. First, the reliability and mobility out of the characteristics of the existing mobile service of commercial banks had effects on the perceived switching value while the reactivity had no effects on it. Second, in the results of understanding the effects of diverse benefits from internet-only banks on the perceived value, the economic benefit and convenient benefit had positive(+) effects on the perceived switching value. Lastly, the perceived switching value had positive(+) effects on the use intention.

This study evaluated the economic feasibility for the Oriental Medicine Hospital is established in W-city. To analyze the demand and supply of Oriental Medicine Hospital status and population trends were analyzed inthe hospital service area. As a result, the Service Area of the demand for Oriental Medicine were met by the S-Oriental Hospital. Thus, On the demand side to assess the adequacy of Oriental Hospital established does not make sense. So, Oriental Hospital of 50 beds and 70 beds, separated by the economic feasibility was evaluated. As a result, the Oriental Hospital opened was found to be not economically feasible.

Recently, the roll of bus transit is critical more than before because of the dramatical increase in congestions and oil prices, but bus companies seriously encounter into vicious circle situation such as decrease in passenger demand, income reduction, and revenue deterioration. To tackle this, major metropolitan cities, Seoul, Busan, DaeGu, etc. have introduced a semi-public system to reinforce public function of bus. However, it was resulted in side effects that the main board of bus company did not control theirselves voluntarily, and the management and control of public sectors on bus become very important elements. In this research, the types, limitations, and development of operation-management items, and a methodology for analysis, and changes in those trends are addressed under semi-public system using APTS data. Conclusively, this study could be one of the useful application results and alternatives for the operation-management policy of bus transit-related agencies.
