Context-based Design Methodology For Augmented Reality Contents (증강현실 콘텐츠의 맥락 기반 디자인 방법론 연구)

  • This research discusses user's context based design methodology for location-based AR contents design. A media contents regarding mobile service should be designed considering user's context in dynamic environment. In this regard, I would like to suggest user's context centered design method for augmented reality contents. There are two different research methods in conventional context-based design method. This research tries to totalize two methods. In this sense, this research investigated previous researches which make a new design method. And then, context-based design methods are compared and the pros of them are integrated so as to create a new context-based design method. This new methodology aims to be an effective design method of creating AR contents in the future.

  • This study explores research methodologies of design and data science, and applies data science paradigm on design process. Design research methodologies would have benefits of productivity and efficiency by using data driven design methodology. From insights of former studies, a new methodology of data driven design is suggested that design problem is transformed to data set attributes, such as variables, values and data patterns. The fine dust information app design is conducted as a case study to prove this methodology.

An Empirical Test for Applying the Rapid Persona Method for the Service Design (서비스디자인을 위한 래피드퍼소나 수립방법의 유효성 검정)

  • Recently, as service design was introduced to improve the quality of public service, there have been many attempts to improve various public service. In the process, various stakeholders including general citizens are participating in the design improvement activity through a method of design service but the parties are facing a difficulty in the progress because of a limitation of time and budget and a lack of professionalism among the member while the parties are planning the process and activities based on the professional service design method. Persona method that is usually used in the process of service design is encountering a limitation as well. Also, there are continuous attempts to understand the limitation of persona and apply an alternative research method among service and UX designers. For this reason, this thesis is to recognize the limitation in deduction method of traditional persona and suggests a fast and economical production method of Rapid Persona speaking for the goal of users and overcoming the limitation. Furthermore, by applying the suggested method of making Rapid Persona to an actual public service design project of National Statistical Office, the test through an empirical study was conducted. This was conducted with the purpose of progressing a discussion in the respect of actual application beyond a banal discussion. Through the research method suggested in this study, it is expected to overcome the limitation of time and a lack of professionalism and, based on these, can be used in the process of various service design and UX design as establishing persona in a fast and easy way.

  • 본 연구는 R&D 정보 시각화를 위한 네비게이션 선행연구이다. 지금까지 R&D서비스에서는 연구 기획 단계에서부터 사업화에 이르기까지 기존의 연구 성과에 대한 조사 분석을 포함해서 해당 연구 주제에 대하여 기술동향, 시장분석, R&D정책 등 다양한 정보를 종합적이고 전략적으로 활용할 수 있는 정보 서비스가 부족하거나 제한적이었다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 서비스 디자인 방법론에 입각하여 R&D정보서비스의 서비스 디자인 프로세스를 사용하여 R&D 담당자와 UX 디자이너가 참여하는 사용성 평가와 서비스 디자인 방법론 수행 후 사용자 니즈를 분석해 보았다. 국가R&D정보와 관련된 정보처리기술 및 정보자원에 대해서는 기존 KISTI에 가지고 있는 국가R&D정보와 NDSL를 연계하고 이를 활용하여 연구자의 R&D활동에 관련된 문제해결을 지원하는 서비스 체제를 구축하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 국가R&D정보 서비스 체제 구축을 위해 서비스 디자인 방법론과 사용자 분석을 통해 R&D정보 서비스의 개선 방향을 알아본다.

  • 서비스디자인 분야의 확장에 따라 서비스디자인 대상이 광범위해지면서 상황에 따른 적절한 방법론 선정이 어려워지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 수집된 다양한 데이터를 유형화하는 단계에서 데이터의 특성에 따라 서비스디자이너의 주관이 개입될 확률이 크다는 문제를 해결하기 위해 분석의 정확성을 높이기 위해 벤 다이어그램 활용을 제안하였다. 그 과정에서 기존에 많이 사용되고 있는 $2{\times}2$ 매트릭스 방법론과 벤 다이어그램을 비교하여 $2{\times}2$ 매트릭스의 한계를 지적하고, 보완된 형태의 벤 다이어그램을 3가지로 제안하고 검증하였다.

Ecotourism Service Design Process and Methodology (생태관광 서비스디자인 프로세스 및 방법론 연구)

  • The role of local decentralization and balanced regional development becomes important due to the concentration of population due to urbanization, and the development of tourism contents in local governments is actively being attempted. However, this is largely due to quantitative growth, and it does not offer tourist content that offers a different experience while utilizing regional characteristics. This means that it is important to develop programs and contents that emphasize the identity of the region by cultivating local characteristics and build a different image. However, most of the small regions where characteristic resources are difficult to find have a problem that it is difficult to develop different programs and contents due to relatively few development opportunities and financial constraints. In this study, it was considered that it is effective to analyze characteristic features of the region and utilize the possessed assets as much as possible. Therefore, we propose a service design process that effectively supports ecotourism, one of the regional revitalization plan using local eco - assets. In the process, Venn Diagram Position and Context Map methodology was developed and verified through Sutonggol Observation Path.

Case Study on the Library Service Innovation Applying Service Design Methodology (서비스디자인 방법론을 적용한 도서관서비스 혁신 사례분석)

  • Service design is a process and methodology for innovating or creating service. This study analyzed library case that applied service design method to library service innovation and creation. The object of this case studies include 7 library such as Copenhagen's municipal library, State Library of Victoria, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Georgia institute of technology library, North carolina state university library. This study analyzed separately to service design requirements, stake-holders, period, process, tools, result and main feature. The implications obtained through this case study are as follows: (1) The design of the library service are focused on user-centered services, future service creation. (2) The service design for library is designed by the collaboration of all stake-holder. (3) From the point of view of period, the service design is continuous, and it has a nature of the project. (4) The service design in library focus on user experience, processes and prototypes development and application. (5) The service design in library are applied to the new tool such as blue print, customer journey map, touch-point, shadow, persona. (6) The purpose of the service design in library is improved and created services, and is has holistic approach.

  • Service design refers to an activity to design a user's service experience and a design area for professionally executing it. In order to design services from the people's point of view away from the supplier-oriented policy decisions in the past, the recent public participation business model using the service design methodology is increasing. In particular, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security formed the 'National Design Team' in 2014 to design services from the perspective of the public throughout the policy process. The public participatory policy model is being operated in which the public as policy consumers, service designers and public officials as suppliers participate in the overall policy process to develop and develop public services through service design techniques. This study is meaningful in that it presented the developmental direction of the actual project site through the case of the National Design Team sign improvement project with the goal of establishing a regional revitalization strategy using the service design methodology. However, as this study is about the current project, verification of the application of future project sites and user satisfaction evaluation have not been conducted. When the project is completed in the future, it is necessary to conduct a project satisfaction survey targeting consumers.

  • The Ministry of the Interior and Safety amends the enforcement ordinance of the public service design method and applies it to the project tasks of each institution and cases of social problem solving and public service innovation are increasing according to service design methodology. This study is to develop the $360^{\circ}$ VR content element in order to deliver the understanding and effective improvement of the service to the consumers in the process of problem discovery and the prototype that visualize the key solution according to the service design methodology. By applying it to the actual public service design project, it was possible to predict the result with high satisfaction after improvement. This paper is meaningful in that it proposes new approach and empirical value to consumers and contribute to the improvement of the service design process as a convergence study on the future service design using the $360^{\circ}$ VR prototype.

  • Ubiquitous computing will bring on comprehensive changes of environment. We need to understand how this change will change human life and what will be needed in this circumstances. Then we have to develope the appropriate sonics in ubiquitous computing environment. The design of ubiquitous computing environment has the concept of designing human life. Thus to develope the scenarios which are able to predict human life is to make a foundation of developing design concepts effectively. However there is a gap due to the lack of the dear methodology between the analyzing trend of technology and the process of estimating the future life and developing the service scenarios. So, most of the scenarios which have developed up to now do not present the service that exactly reflects all the complicated and pluralistic sides of environment. The service in the ubiquitous computing environment should take the form of grasping the user's context and offering the information with the most adequate way. Therefore we have to know when they need services, where they use services and what kind of services they want. It means that we should understand the life and the environment of user clearly and wholly with the prospect of developing service. We also need the method for developing UC(ubiquitous computing) service based on this. This study focuses on the future family life and analyzes the user's context from a point of view of service development and in this ground, we have progressed the research about the methodology to develop the UC service scenario for suggesting the service. Through the applying of this methodology, we could analyze the user's context systematically and could make the best use of the analyzed data for proposal service idea. And the UC service scenarios which reflect future life on the basis of various use's context could be developed.
