In this study, we developed the program for 'Discretionary Activity' focusing on the multiple activities with everyday-life materials to enhance scientific creativity (MAEM-SC), which was specifically for students in the 6-7th grade according to the 7th curriculum in Korea. As important factors for scientific creativity, we selected the ability to find out the context relevant to scientific problems, the ability to connect the problem context to scientific knowledge, the ability to invent the ways to solve the problem scientifically, and ability to concentrate on the scientific problem solving activity. The topics of the program were drawn from common and familiar things in our everyday contexts, such as human body, everyday tools, food, play and toys, and everyday episodes. The multiple activities here mean the activities which are systematically constructed with the various types of activities with a specific intention. The multiple activities were designed in three types, that is, series type, parallel type, and combination type. Each of them consists of the several activities as follows: estimating and measuring, carrying out an experiment using body, inventing implement (tools), thinking statistically, writing creatively with scientific themes, and connecting one concept to another concept etc. Through a trial of the program, we found that this program has some positive influence on the enhancement both of the ability to find out the context relevant to scientific problems and the ability to connect it to the students' existing scientific knowledge.

The purpose of this study is to review a good sample for a healthy city to adapt its strategy. People has interested in the urban environment and their health in the region with a step-up in income and the improvement of living conditions. They has realized that urban environment is closely related to their quality of life, concentrated on development of clean city and healthy city from the point of urban planning. The movement of healthy city has been spread out from Europe on 1986, and WHO(World Health Organization) has been supporting the practical work to improve upon the physical or social condition on each regional level. The policy of healthy city has promoted centering around each local government which is made up of networking with others globally to interchange informations. This study reviewed a successful case of Kobe city in detail and will provide further useful insights into planners in building appropriate policies.

Today human rights are the most complex and prominent issue in the system of international law, and the right to housing(housing right) is also recognized as a basic human right in the international human right instruments including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This study targets to comprehensive review of the housing rights provisions with 85 international human rights laws and instruments. And the contents and characteristics of housing rights are analyzed with categorization based on housing rights in general, housing rights of workers, socially vulnerable groups, international regional organizations. Housing right takes also the features of universality, indivisibility, interdependence, and right to adequate housing should be interpreted with holistic view including legal security of tenure, accessibility, affordability, location beyond ensuring just a physical housing space. Approaches to the housing right comprehensively reflect the view of the right to development, the perspective of gender equality, the principle of non-discrimination, the participation rights, and orient the housing right should be seen as the right to live somewhere in security(safety), peace and dignity.

In this paper, the writer studies the lighting technology and types used in urban night lighting performance. With the continuous change and innovation of life style in today's society, the multiple functions of the city continue to develop. At present, urban night lighting is not limited to lighting the landscape in the daytime by lighting tools. It uses new digital lighting technology to deduce innovative and constantly changes digital nightscape. In this way, through the integration of urban nighttime lighting and modern digital art, the city's brand image can be improved and its economic development will also be affected. This study is trying to analyse the private security prevention role of citizen, For this analyse the public opinion survey on the crime prevention of the private security was carried in Kyungnam area about the crime prevention system and the storage and institution, the role of the crime prevention of private security etc. So that, we have experimented a fact-finding survey about civil consciousness. The result of this fact-finding survey about crime prevention system is on the hand pointed out the circumscription of the police power, and the other hand they have the age-old ceremonies on the dependence about police system. Because the public security order needs the compelling power to maintenance the peace and this power is exercising only by police. They don't have the trust about the role of the private security as the crime prevention institution. But, they consider the private security is just for anyone in particular and special class by their demand. And also, they consider the private security is very expensive to utilize for their security in the everyday life. There for, some people have trust for the private security and if they have a chance for the security, they consider to utilize the private security for their safe life as an security agency. The private security has a powerful experts and so many high-tech equipments for the security. Thus, we have to find a solution to get the best out of it. Because the private security is also a part of crime prevention institution as the police agency.

As people's living standard is being improved, human works are being replaced by robots. However, because most robots are used in process industry, fixed on the ground, we need to develop human robots that have wide applications. Currently many researches are being conducted on human robots with the object of replacing human works, but because of lack of relevant hardware, such robots are being applied limitedly to very simple tasks. To overcome the limitation, the present study developed a kinematical mechanism and a controller. Based on human kinematics, the shoulders and the arms were composed of master arms with 3 degree of freedom, and we reproduced motions similar to human ones through the characteristics of joint variables and experiment on the trajectory of the end effector.

In spite of rapid development of IT-related meteorology and services, human users still ought to check the weather information manually as they did before because traditional weather information retrieval is based on pull-type and human interpretation. Furthermore, the automatic machine-driven weather information processing has been neglected for a long time although the intelligent weather information processing is expected to be very useful for personal daily life and ubiquitous computing. In this paper, we discussed a design of GRIB based ontology to enable smart weather information processing. GRIB is the general purposed and world-wildly used weather data format approved by the World Meteorological Organization. With the designed ontology and the inference system containing Jess engine, several intelligent weather applications have been implemented and tested to verify the virtue of machine-driven weather information processing.

최근 GPT 챗봇이 이슈화되면서 AI와 딥러닝을 통한 개발 및 발전되고 있고, 업무에 대한 효율성과 일상생활에서의 편리함을 느낄 수 있다. 다양한 산업들 중 헬스 케어 산업에서는 인공지능과 빅데이터 등 첨단 기술을 활용한 차별화된 서비스 제공에 많은 관심을 기울이고 있다. 현재 안면인식 기술을 적용한 스마트 헬스장은 세계적으로 늘어나고 있다. 최근 한국에서도 안면인식 기술을 활용한 헬스장이 출시되었지만, 회원의 입출입에만 적용이 되고 있어 기술의 활용성이 떨어진다는 문제점이 있다. 또한, 트레이너가 없는 작은 헬스장이나 아파트 헬스장의 경우, PT를 받기 어렵다는 불편함이 있다. 따라서 안면인식 기술을 헬스장의 기구에 적용하여 기존의 인증 방식보다 안전하고 편리하며, 기본적인 정보 사항과 횟수를 기록하고 저장하며 이 전의 데이터와 비교할 수 있는 시스템을 이용하여 PT를 받지 않고도 효율적인 운동이 가능한 시스템을 제안한다.

Objective: This study assessed whether both physical disability and perceived dependence relate to depression or whether perceived dependence in personal care activities, household activities, community mobility and recreational activities is an intermediate step in the relationship between physical disability and depressive symptoms. Methods: Data come from a cross-sectional survey of 209 women, aged 55 or older, with osteoarthritis (OA). Mediation analyses occurred in four step and included logistic regression analyses as outlined by Baron & Kenny. Results: The results from step 1 showed that greater difficulty with each domain of physical disabilities was significantly related to greater perceived dependence. In step 2, greater perceived dependence was significantly associated with greater depressive symptoms in all domains. Step 3 analyses showed that greater physical disabilities in each domain were significantly associated with depression. The final step testing mediation indicated that personal care activities, household activities and community mobility were fully mediated by perceived dependence. That was, once dependence was taken into account, the relationship between physical disabilities and depression was no longer significant. Partial mediation was found for dependence and recreational activity limitations. Conclusion: It is important to take into account the experience of perceived dependence as a mediator in understanding the relationship between disability and depression in the domains of personal care, household, and community mobility. To conclude, these findings point to the importance of taking into account an individual's reaction to their disability rather than just focusing on the severity of disability.
