This study was conducted to examine the relationships between nursing students' knowledge on dementia, care performance, and empathy, thus providing the foundation of dementia patient nursing intervention strategies for nursing students. For the analysis to examine the relationships, this study used descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The analysis showed that the higher students' year of study and the higher their interest in dementia (F=5.02, p=.008), the higher their knowledge on dementia (t=-4.03, p<.001), and also that the higher their satisfaction with clinical training (F=3.91, p=.023), the higher their care performance. It was found that nursing students' knowledge on dementia and their care performance (r=.21, p=.023) were positively correlated at a statistically significant level. Based on the results, this study suggests the need to develop and utilize education programs that can help students gain knowledge on dementia prior to clinical training so that they can have more knowledge on dementia and be encouraged to practice caring for patients with dementia.

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between health promotion behavior and adaptation to college of nursing students and investigate the factors influencing adaptation to college in the COVID era. The subjects were consisted of 191 nursing students from J University in province C. Data were analyzed based on frequency, percentile, mean, Pearson's correlations, and multiple regressions. Health promotion behavior and college adjustment in nursing students showed significant positive correlations with each other. Health promotion behavior had the strongest influence on nursing students' adaptation to college, followed by health level; these factors accounted for 19.9% of the total variance in adaptation to college among nursing students(Adj. R²=.199, p<.001). Overall adaptation to college can be improved by health promotion behavior enhancement program.

The purpose of this study was to a descriptive research study to understand the relationship between self-esteem, life stress and health promotion behavior of nursing college students, the influence factors of health promoting behaviors. Participants were 115 nursing students in A city. Data collection was conducted from May 2 to 27, 2022. Data were collected with structured questionnaires and analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. As a result of there were positive correlations(r=.59, p<.001) between the self-esteem and health promoting behaviors, negative correlation(r=-.45, p<.001) life stress and health promoting behaviors. Factors affecting health promoting behaviors of nursing college students were health state(β=.507, p<.001), life stress (β=.249, p=.002) and smoking(β=.156, p=.028), which explained 57.0% of the variance. Based on the results of this study, it is thought that it is necessary to development of a program can control life stress with interest in health in order to promote health promotion behaviors of nursing students.

This study attempted to understand the mediating effect of nursing professional perspective in the relationship between empathy and care efficacy of nursing college students. The subjects of the study were 175 nursing college students attending nursing departments at three universities in Korea, and data were collected through a self-written online survey. Descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, multiple regression analysis were performed on the collected data using SPSS 29.0, and Sobel tests were performed to verify the mediating effect. As a result of the study, there was a significant positive correlation between empathy, nursing professional perspective, and caring efficacy of nursing college students, and nursing professional perspective had a complete mediating effect in the relationship between empathy and caring efficacy. Therefore, it is important to increase empathy in order to improve nursing students' caring efficacy, and it is suggested that education is important to promote nursing professional perspective.

This study is a descriptive research study conducted to identify evaluative concerns perfectionism, entrapment and depression in university nursing students, and to identify the factors influencing depression. The subjects of the research were students enrolled in two major departments in G city. Statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and band regression analysis were used for data analysis. Research results indicated that the factors influencing depression to university nursing students were external constraints (β=.414, p<.001) and socially imposed perfectionism (β=.174, p<.001), and these explained 24.9% of the subject's degree of depression. In particular, it was found that external Entrapment had the greatest effect by 22.7%. Therefore, based on the results of this research analysis, it is recommended to develop and manage various extracurricular programs that can reduce the external entrapment and socially imposed perfectionism so that depression can be managed, reduced and prevented depression of university nursing students at an early stage.

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between communication, leadership, and ethical nursing competency for nursing students and to identify factors that affect the ethical nursing competency of nursing students. The subjects who participated in this study were 328 people, and data were collected using questionnaires after obtaining research consent. The collected data was statistically analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 28.0 program. As a result of this study, ethical nursing competency and communication (r=.67, p<.001) and leadership (r=.56, p<.001) showed a significant positive correlation. The factors that affect the ethical nursing competency of nursing students are communication (𝛽=.52, p<.001) and leadership (𝛽=.23, p<.001) has been identified. The regression model of this study was significant (F=155.74, p<.001). The explanatory power of the model was 48%. Therefore, it should include improving communication skills and leadership when developing a program to inhance the ethical nursing competency of nursing students.

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of faculty-student interaction, Career commitment on Self-Directed Learning Ability in Later Learner's Students. The subjects of this study were 162 nursing students between the ages of 25 and 64 from 4 universities located in G metropolitan city and J province. The collected data were subjected to t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression using SPSS 24.0 program. As a result of the study, the factors influencing self-directed learning ability were in the order of career commitment, faculty-student interaction, and motivation for university entrance among, and it was found that the variables explained 29.5% of the self-directed learning ability of older nursing students. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an intervention plan that can promote self-directed learning ability by improving the level of career commitment and faculty-student interaction of older nursing students.

This study is a descriptive survey research attempted to verify the effects of strengths knowledge and self leadership on career preparation behavior in nursing students. The subjects of this study were students enrolled in Department of Nursing in G city. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis and controlled regression analysis were used for data analysis. The results of the study are as follows. Strengths knowledge(𝛽=.464, p<.001), self leadership(𝛽=.512, p<.001) showed a positive effect on career preparation behavior. The study model accounted for 34.1% of career preparation behavior. These findings suggest that measures to increase strengths knowledge and self leadership are needed to promote career preparation behavior of nursing students.

This study was a descriptive research study to identify the influencing factors on learning commitment of nursing students. Method: Data were collected from nursing students in two different universities in D and G metropolitan city. The data collection period was from November 26 to December 7, 2018. The analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS/WIN 21.0. Results: Learning commitment of the participants showed statistical differences according to grade level, satisfaction in major and interpersonal relationship. Learning commitment was positively correlated with self leadership (r=.738, p<.001). The factors affecting learning commitment were the needs for grade level (β=-.212, p=.011), satisfaction in major (β=.248, p=.001) and self leadership (β=.598, p<.001) explaining 58% of the total variance of learning commitment. Conclusion: As a result of this study, increase learning commitment in student nurses, it is necessary to develop program promoting satisfaction in major and self leadership.
