Difference in Perception toward Career Problems of Multicultural Adolescents based on Life-cycle Stages (생애발달주기에 따른 다문화 청소년 진로문제 인식의 차이 연구)

  • The study was aimed to find out whether there are differences in perception toward multicultural youth's career problems according to the four stages of life cycle(adolescence, pre-marriage, family formation child rearing), and multicultural families and non-multicultural respondents. Also is was aimed to find out if there is an interactive effect on problem recognition. A nationwide survey was conducted using questionnaire on the perception of multicultural youth careers and a total of 1,338 responses were used for the final analysis. For the research purpose, a two-way MANOVA was performed. First it was found that multicultural family members had higher negative perceptions of multicultural appearances than non-multicultural family members had and the adolescents had relatively low negative perceptions of personal relationships and social life adaptation of multicultural youth. Also, as a result of examining whether there is an interaction effect on perception of career problems of multicultural adolescents between multicultural families and their life cycle stages, interaction effects existed in all aspects of family environment, career activities, education, and institutions. It has been shown that there are differences in the perception of career issues among members of multicultural families or among non-cultural families.

An Extraction of Inefficient Factors and Weight for Improving Efficiency of the Curtain wall Life Cycle Process (커튼월 Life Cycle Process의 효율성 향상을 위한 비효율 요인 밑 중요도 도출)

  • Recently, a curtain wall construction is a exterior finishing components which is most used for shortening time in high-rise building as well as the class of key management factors in cost and schedule control. Also, it is recognized that an effective management for curtain wall process is a major subject to accomplish the project successfully. However, as the current management for curtain wall construction is focused on the construction stage, it makes problems such as errors in business performance, rework by mistakes and duplications, errors and omissions by ineffective information management and there has never been any efficient management from a view of the entire Curtain Wall Life-cycle process. Therefore, the aim of this study is to suggest a stage check point for process improvement in the curtain wall Life-cycle process through current curtain wall process analysis, and then to investigate the cause of waste factors using the Muda method from the Toyota Production System and extract the weighted effects of the waste factors using the analytical hierarchy process method. According to the result, Most of the inefficient factors happened in architectural design stage of the entire curtain wall Life-cycle process and my research identified that detail factors of them are a delay of decision making and an approval in changes, a deficit of engineering capacity and a delay of approval in architectural design drawings by owner, etc.

Safety Management Framework for Information Handover Effectiveness in the Construction Industry (건설 안전관리 개념적 틀 및 정보이양 효율성 분석)

  • Safety management has been one of the most critical issues in the construction industry for a long time. Despite continuous efforts, it still shows a higher accident rate than other sectors. To reduce the accident rate, a lot of studies have been performed, mostly focused on contractors or construction phase. Although the initial stage of the construction project has the most significant impact on construction safety and decision-makers at the initial stage play an important role, the safety management system throughout the project entire life-cycle is still insufficient. In addition, although a great deal of information is generated in the construction project and the value is increasing, while it shows an inefficient aspect. This is believed to be due to insufficient information exchange and a lack of standards. In this context, this study aims to analyze the efficiency of information handover in construction safety. For this purpose, a safety management framework for systematically and efficiently managing and utilizing for construction safety information is referred to as 'safety business functions', 'project life-cycle', and 'industrial hierarchy'. The 'safety business functions' are classified into three levels. And then, in order to analyze the efficiency of safety information handover, 'importance of safety business function' and 'efficiency of safety information handover' were evaluated by interviewing with experts. This study can be used as reference data for implementing systematical and efficient safety management, and can also increase construction safety competency.

연령이 인구이동에 미치는 영향 : 최초이동, 계속이동, 귀환 이동

  • 일반적으로 인구이동은 전형적인 연령패턴을 갖는 것으로 알려져 있다. 연령에 따른 이동률의 변화는 생애주기와 지역애착에 영향을 받기 때문이라고 설명되어왔다. 많은 인구이동 연구들은 인구이동이 갖는 다양한 형태에 대한 고민 없이 단순한 거주지역의 변화에만 초점을 맞추었다. 하지만 인구이동의 다양성에 주목한 연구들은 인구이동이 그 형태에 따라 다양한 의미를 갖고 있음을 보여주고 있다. 이에 이 연구는 패널데이터(NLSY79)를 사용하여, 인구이동을 최초이동, 계속이동 및 귀환이동으로 구분하였다. 이러한 구분을 바탕으로 생애주기 및 지역애착 등을 반영하는 사회경제적 변수들을 통제한 후 연령이 인구이동에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 분석결과는 인구이동이 그 형태에 따라 다양한 연령패턴을 갖는다는 것을 보여준다. 최초이동은 이동률이 성인초기 연령대의 매우 높은 수준에서 급감하여 중년에 이르러 일반적 이동률 수준으로 나타났고, 계속이동은 연령의 증가에 따라 선형으로 꾸준히 감소하지만 그 폭은 크지 않았다. 그러나 귀환이동은 이동률이 연령에 따라 증가하는 모습을 보여주었다. 이러한 연령패턴의 다양성을 설명을 위해 이 연구는 인구이동에서의 보수성 증가라는 심리적 접근을 제안하고 있다.

The effect of the transition of life course on changes in consumption patterns of Korean Households (한국 가계의 잠재소비유형 변화와 결정요인)

  • This study investigated the patterns of transition of consumption patterns in Korean households in 2010 and 2017, and the impact of the life cycle on the transition of consumption patterns between the two time points. Using information on 4,717 households from the 2010 and 2017 data of the Korean Labor Panel Survey, we examined the effect of the family life cycle on changes in consumption patterns. The results of the latent transition analysis on the change in consumption type showed that the change in consumption type between the two points of time at the household level was relatively active. The logistic regression models reported that the transition of consumption type varies depending on the life cycle, such as changes in marital status, birth and independence of children. These results provide the implication that it is necessary to consider from the perspective of the family life course how the transition between their consumption types occurs when the government establishes consumption policies and companies set marketing target groups.

Comparison of Relative Weights of Cost for Road-bed Construction and Energy on Life Cycle Cost of Railroad -in Case of Seoul-pusan High Speed Rail (철도노선의 생애주기비용에서 노반건설비와 에너지비용의 상대적 비중 분석 - 경부고속철도 사례를 중심으로)

  • It is generally recognize that the weight of energy cost for railroad alignment in the life cycle cost is higher than that for roadway. This study analyzed the relative weights of railroad road-bed construction cost and energy cost in the case of Seoul-Pusan High Speed Rail. Recently, the optimization of railroad alignment with computerized methodology has been studies. The optimization is supposed to aim the minimization of life cycle cost including the energy cost as well as the minimization of the construction cost. The operation period of the Seoul-Pusan High Speed Rail is limited to ten years, then various future operation scenario were developed for the next 20 years. The weight of energy cost is estimated 10~30% of the construction cost by scenario, and it is lower than the figure generally expected. It may be meaningful to provide the method to include the energy cost in the railroad alignment optimization.

Economic Evaluation of ATES Heat Pump System (ATES 열펌프 시스템의 경제성 평가)

  • ATES(Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage) 열펌프 시스템은 기존의 다양한 열원 적용 시스템 대비 효율이 우수한 것으로 알려져 유럽과 미국에서 건물 냉난방 시스템으로 적용되고 있다. 특히, ATES 시스템은 기존의 냉난방 시스템 대비 경제성이 우수한 것으로 알려져 있으나 국내에서는 이에 대한 연구 결과는 전무한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 ATES 열펌프 시스템의 실증 성능 결과를 분석하였으며, LNG 보일러와 에어컨을 사용하는 기존의 냉난방 시스템을 비교시스템으로 ATES 열펌프 시스템의 경제성 평가를 수행하였다. ATES 시스템의 연간 실증 성능 실험결과 ATES 시스템은 외기온도와 무관하게 연중 안정적인 성능을 나타내었다. 경제성 평가시에 생애주기법(Life Cycle Cost)을 적용하여 ATES 열펌프 시스템의 설치 및 운전에 필요한 총 소요비용을 산정하고, 이 결과를 바탕으로 투자회수기간법을 통해 ATES 시스템의 투자회수 기간을 산정하였다. 생애주기법 적용 시에 현재가치법을 사용하였으며, 현재가치법은 수명주기에 발생하는 모든 투자비용과 절감액을 일정한 시점을 기준으로 등가환산하는 방법을 의미한다. 현재가치법에 사용되는 현재가치는 초기비용과 현재가치계수의 곱으로 나타나는데, 여기에서 현재가치계수는 임의의 이자율로 일정기간 동안 정기적인 할부금액이 적립될 때의 현재금액을 구하기 위해 사용하는 계수를 의미한다. 전기와 LNG는 각각 2009년 7월의 (주)한국전력공사와 (주)한국가스공사의 고시요금을 적용하였다. 본 시스템은 실증 설비용량인 20RT를 대상 건물로 가정하였고, 초기투자비는 크게 공사비와 냉난방 설비 구입비로 구성되어 있으며, 기본적인 물가지표는 (사)한국물가정보(KPI)의 고시 데이터를 참조하였다. 각 시스템의 초기투자비는 ATES 시스템이 비교대상 기존 냉난방 시스템 대비 5.7배 높게 나타났다. 일일 8시간 사용기준으로 계절별 전력요금을 고려한 연간운전 비용은 ATES 시스템이 기존 시스템 대비 냉난방 시에 각각 77%와 16%를 나타내어 운전비용이 연간 절감되었고, 난방 운전 시 절감 비율이 냉방시보다 크게 나타났다. 두 시스템에 대한 생애주기비용을 산정하기 위하여 에어컨과 보일러의 기존시스템과 ATES 시스템의 가용연수를 모두 20년으로 설정하였고, 유지보수 비용은 초기투자비용의 2%로 설정하고, 할인율은 은행 예금이자를 기준으로 5%로 설정하였다. 전기와 LNG의 요금 상승률은 (사)한국물가정보를 바탕으로 각각 2%와 8%로 가정하였다. 이러한 조건에서 생애주기법을 이용한 경제성평가는 ATES 시스템의 경우 생애운전비용이 초기투자비용보다 작게 나타났으며, 기존 냉난방 시스템은 생애운전비용이 초기투자비용에 비하여 높게 나타났다. 본 연구 대상 ATES 열펌프 시스템의 실증 성능 데이터와 기존 문헌으로부터 얻은 냉난방 시스템의 성능 결과를 이용하여 생애주기 비용을 적용한 결과 ATES 시스템의 기존 시스템 대비 투자회수 기간은 6.62년으로 나타났다. 특히, 본 연구에서는 ATES 시스템이 국내 최초로 적용됨에 따라 스크린 등의 부품을 다소 고가의 제품으로 시스템에 적용하였으므로 ATES 시스템의 신뢰성과 안정성이 확보되면 초기 투자비 감소가 가능할 것으로 예상되며, 기존 시스템 대비 투자회수 기간은 더욱 감소될 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.

Improvement of Permanent Disability Benefit System in Korean Worker's Compensation Insurance from the Perspective of Life Cycle (생애주기를 고려한 산재보험 장해연금 개선 방안 연구)

  • The permanent disability benefit(PDB) system whose purpose lies in helping affected workers with their self-realization through compensating them for their work-related injury or disease and facilitating their timely return to work is very important in terms of social welfare. Actually, the portions of PDB's in all WCI expenditures have been on the sharp increase. In spite of its positive aspects like this, however, an excessive amount of PDB's may have negative impacts on the affected workers' will to work or return to work, and increasing trends in the amount of PDB's payable in annuity will remain in an aging or aged society a potentially risky factor posing a threat to the soundness of WCI budgets. In this respect, the author attempted herein to identify the long-term reality of trends in the number of claimants entitled to PDB's and the amount of PDB's payable to them through making the long-term budget projections of PDB's; address problems with PDB's payable in annuity, which are or will potentially be one of the gravest burdens in securing the soundness of WCI budgets; and discuss how to optimize the amount of PDB's through studying & analyzing overseas cases and income replacement rates and what kinds of improvements are thinkable. It's recommended to reduce the absolute amount of benefits payable in annuity in a phased way considering claimants' life-cycle instead of sticking to the current system, which takes the form of lifelong pension plan.

Framework & Functions of Configuration Management (CM) in Nuclear Power Plants (NPP) (원자력발전소 형상관리 적용을 위한 Framework 및 생애주기단계별, 관리기법별 기능리스트 도출)

  • In the 1950s, the concept of configuration management (CM) was started by the US Department of Defense (DOD). Later, it has begun to be applied in aerospace, software, engineering, construction, and nuclear power industry. However, configuration management (CM) in the Korean nuclear industry was firstly utilized in 2006 only for selected parts of facilities, while the US nuclear industry has applied CM for the facilities' entire systems since 1990s. Furthermore, configuration management (CM) is in its conceptual stage in the Korean nuclear industry because of ambiguous CM concepts, lacks of CM professional manpower, non-computerization, and inadequacy of CM procedures and processes. In order to address this issues, seven industries (including defense, aerospace, software, engineering, architecture, civil engineering, nuclear power) that utilize the concept of configuration management (CM) were compared and analyzed based on the CM purpose, technique, and life-cycle perspectives. By an extensive literature review and expert interviews, this paper developed a framework of configuration management (CM) for the nuclear industry. And also, a list of functions based on life-cycle stages and CM techniques are developed for clarifying CM framework in order to promote practical applications.

Optimum Life-cycle Cost Design of Orthotropic Steel Deck Bridges (강상판교의 생애주기비용 최적설계)

  • This study present an optimum deck and girder system design for minimizing the life-cycle cost (LCC) of orthotropic steel deck bridges. The problem of optimum LCC design of orthotropic steel deck bridges is formulated as that of minimization of the expected total LCC that consists of initial cost, maintenance cost, expected retrofit costs for strength, deflection, and fatigue. To demonstrate the effect of LCC optimum design of orthotropic steel deck bridges, the proposed optimum LCC design is compared with the conventional method for orthotropic steel deck bridges design. From the numerical investigations, it may be positively stated that the proposed optimum design procedure for orthotropic steel deck bridges based on the LCC will lead to more rational, economical and safer design.
