The Effects of Situated Learning-Based Instruction of Mathematics on Students' Learning (상황학습 기반 수업이 초등학생의 수학 학습에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to verify the effect of the situated learning-based instruction on mathematics learning of sixth-grade elementary school students. For this purpose, this study examined the differences in mathematical learning achievement and mathematical attitude between a group participating in the situated learning-based class and a group participating in the normal instructor-led mathematics class. Moreover, this study verified the educational effect of the situated learning-based class by analyzing teacher's role in the class and students' way of participating in the class. The study results are as follows. First, the situated learning-based class positively influenced students' mathematics achievement and mathematical attitude. Second, teacher performed a role as a learning guide and facilitator. Third, other became an object to give help to or to learn from in the situated learning-based class. These situations had a positive influence on the organization of knowledge through active efforts of students for communication and problem solving which belongs to a cooperative socialization process happening in the class.

  • 본 연구는 대학의 실시간 비대면 수업에서의 문제중심학습 수업모형 개발과 그 적용가능성 탐색을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 선행연구 및 문헌분석을 통해 문제중심학습의 특징 및 수업운영 전략 등에 대하여 고찰하고, 문제중심학습 수업운영 경험자 3인의 인터뷰를 통해 실시간 비대면 수업 상황에서 적용 가능한 수업모형을 개발할 것이다. 이를 문제중심학습 수업 운영 경험이 풍부한 5인의 전문가를 대상으로 수업모형의 적절성과 적용가능성에 대한 평가를 실시하여 실시간 비대면 수업에서 적용 가능한 문제중심학습 수업모형을 개발하고자 한다. 본 연구를 통해 학습자가 실시간 비대면 수업상황에서 주어진 문제 해결을 위해 협력하고 창의적 사고를 하며 주도적으로 학습에 임하게 함으로써 미래사회에 필요한 역량을 개발하는 데 기여할 수 있을 것이라고 기대한다.

  • Studies are under way to understand how the brain learns and how it works most effectively through the development of brain science. The purpose of this study is to apply brain - based learning principles as a way to effectively overcome the characteristics of the programming lesson and the difficulties that arise during the practice. In other words, by applying the brain-based learning principle appropriate to the characteristics of the Android programming class, the teaching and learning is designed so that the learner can effectively learn the programming.

Possibility of Science Concept Learning in Scientific Practice-Based Science Education: A Review Focused on Situated Learning Theories and Conceptual Agency (과학적 실행 기반의 과학 교육에서 개념 학습의 가능성 고찰 -상황 학습 이론과 개념적 행위 주체성을 중심으로-)

  • This study explored a possibility of science concept learning in scientific practice-based science instruction through the review of literature about situated learning theories and practice-based science education. It was revealed that the situated learning theories were closely related to the recent trend in science education which emphasizes students' active engagement in scientific practices. From the perspective of situated learning, concept learning occurs in the process in which learners make use of concepts as resources and further develop the concepts through the emergence of conceptual agency during their participation in practices. The study also found that the situated learning perspectives could apply to science concept learning in scientific practice-based instruction: Science concepts are used as resources in practice-based science learning, students can better engage in scientific practices as they take advantage of science concepts as resources, and the emergence of conceptual agency can facilitate science concept learning during the participation in scientific practices. Implications for school science education were suggested.

  • 지난 코로나 상황 동안 비대면 수업을 진행했고, 학생들은 빠르게 적응했다. 온라인 수업은 학습자가 이해될 때까지 반복 학습이 가능하고, 시간과 공간의 제약 없이 자기 주도적으로 학습할 수 있다는 장점이 있지만, 온라인상이라는 특징 때문에 교수자와 학습자 간 상호작용이 부족하다는 한계점이 존재한다. 하지만 이점은 차후에 비대면 수업의 지속적인 활용 및 확대를 제한하는 요인이 될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 상호작용을 높일 수 있는 웹 기반 에듀테크 시스템을 제안한다. 온라인 수업의 강의 영상을 세부적인 내용을 나누는 Section을 통해 다른 학생들이 질문했던 Q&A 데이터를 모아서 생성된 Section-FAQ를 열람할 수 있고, 그 Q&A에 반응해서 상호작용이 가능하다. 또한 교수자에게 Q&A를 보낼 때 영상의 Section 정보와 강의시간 정보를 같이 전송하여 강의 영상을 확인하지 않고, 빠른 답변이 가능하도록 설계했다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 온라인 수업의 상호작용 향상을 위한 웹 기반 에듀테크 시스템을 통해 온라인상에서 교수자의 역할을 대신해주고 비대면 수업의 단점을 해소해주면서, 교수자과 학습자 간의 상호작용을 높여 수업의 이해도를 높이고 학습자들의 학업성취를 높일 수 있을 것이다.

  • COVID-19로 인한 외부환경요인의 변화는 2020학년도 1학기부터 대학교육시스템에 큰 변화를 일으켰다. 초기에는 비대면으로 변화된 수업 환경에서 필요한 수업 방법으로 전환하는 데 급급하였다면 비대면 상황이 지속되면서 대면 학습의 실재감을 제공하고 학습효과를 높이는 구체적인 요인 파악과 수업 적용이 필요하게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 비대면으로 이루어지는 컴퓨터공학 분야의 대표적인 실습기반 교과목인 프로그래밍 수업에서 대면 수업의 실재감을 제공하기 위해 강의동영상 수업과 실시간 수업을 활용하여 수업주제 맞춤형 비대면 혼합형 수업 방법을 적용한 후 설문 조사를 통해 혼합형 수업에서 학습자의 참여수준(태도)가 대면수업 수준의 실재감에 미치는 영향을 조사·분석하였다. 이를 통해 비대면 수업에서는 비대면 환경에서 학습자의 상호작용을 위한 수업 참여 수준(태도)가 대면 수준으로 학습효과를 높이는데 가장 큰 영향을 미친 것으로 조사·분석하였다.

  • This study was conducted to design and apply simulation-based problem-based learning classes, and then analyze the effects of class management using focus group interviews. In paramedicine, practical learning that can respond to various emergency situations based on major knowledge is important. In the case of problem-based learning classes, it is suitable for operating various topics covered by the Department of Paramedicine as it can improve capabilities such as problem-solving strategies, skills, and teamwork by providing practicality related to field situations for learning. This study developed a PBL module focusing on patients with dyspnea and applied it to medical emergencies and practice courses taken by 16 third graders of S University's Paramedicine department. Overall class satisfaction was high from 4.76 to 4.92. In particular, by resetting the learning strategy through PBL classes and experiencing cooperative learning, positive learning outcomes could be obtained and self-efficacy was experienced.

Effect of Augmented Reality Contents Based Instruction on Academic Achievement, Interest and Flow of Learning (증강현실 콘텐츠 기반 수업이 학업성취, 학습흥미, 몰입에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this experimental study is to find out the effect of augmented reality contents based instruction on academic achievement, interest and flow of learning. The subjects were 142 students of five classes, sampled from 6th graders of an elementary school. Three classes(86 students) were taught by augmented reality based instruction and the other two classes(56 students) were taught by textbook based instruction for 2 weeks. The experimental design of the study was the pretest-posttest control group design. The results are summarized as follows: First, there is a significant difference in academic achievement between two groups. Augmented reality based instruction group accomplished higher achievement than textbook based instruction group. Second, there is no significant difference in general interest of learning between two groups. But in the interest of lessons taken by students themselves, augmented reality based instruction is more effective than textbook based instruction. Finally, there is a significant difference in learning flow between two groups. Augmented reality based instruction group showed higher learning flow than textbook based instruction group.

Effects of Team-based Learning on Learning Attitude, Learning Motivation, Problem Solving Ability, Participation in Lessons of Nursing Students (팀 기반 학습이 간호학생의 학습태도, 학습동기, 문제해결능력, 수업참여도에 미치는 효과)

  • It is organized to evaluate the effect of nursing students' learning attitude, learning motivation, problem solving ability, and class participation, after applying team-based learning to basic nursing classes. The subjects were 103 people in the second year of the G region. The data collection was from September 1 to December 5, 2016 by using t-test, one-way ANOVA, paired t-test and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Result is that the ability to solve problems increased, showing a statistically significant difference. Learning attitude and motivation of learning increased and the degree of participation didn't change, but there were no statistically significant differences. The learning attitude shows positive correlation with learning motivation, problem-solving skills and participation. After team based-learning, learning attitude showed a positive correlation with learning motivation, problem solving ability and class participation. Learning motivation shows positive correlation with class participation and so does problem solving ability with participation. Based on the results of this study, in order to improve the practical ability, it is necessary to activate the self-directed active learning method such as team base for nursing major study.

  • This study aims to improve the quality of classes by analyzing the role and learning achievement of instructors in programming subjects for non-major students. In order to improve the quality of university education, universities provide various programs to strengthen the teaching capacity of instructors.
