Context aware Modeling and Services Implementation With Event Driven in Ubiquitous Computing Environment (유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 Event Driven 상황정보 모델링 및 서비스 구현)

  • Context aware computing is an emerging paradigm to achieve ubiquitous computing environments by enabling computer systems to understand their situational contexts. A context aware system uses context to provide relevant information and services to the user depending on the user's task. In this paper, we propose an ontology based context aware modeling methodology that transmits low level contexts acquired by directly accessing various sensors in the physical environments to high level contexts. With these high level contexts, context aware application can provides proactive and intelligent services using ECA (Event Condition Action) rules. We implemented a presentation service in smart office environment.

  • 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 각기 다른 사용자들에게 적재적소에 양질의 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 다양한 지능공간 상황정보들을 실시간으로 분석하고 개인 사용자의 의도 및 상황을 정확하고 효과적으로 모니터링 하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 지능공간 상황정보에는 환경정보, 상황인식 추론단계를 거친 1차적인 상황인식 결과 및 상황인식에 따른 시스템에서 제공하는 서비스정보 등이 있으며, 이러한 정보들은 개인화 서비스를 제공하기 위한 사용자 만족도를 측정하는 데에 중요한 데이터로 사용될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 만족도 모니터링 시스템에서 활용할 수 있는 다양한 지능공간 상황정보들 간의 연관분석을 통해 효율적인 데이터 감시 전략을 제시하고 시나리오를 통해 그 적용 가능성을 살펴본다.

  • W These days, Ubiquitous is coming a more popular tool in mass communications and in advanced countries ubiquitous computing is commercialized. In Korea, we have studied the business models of the ubiquitous computing generation as well. Ubiquitous computing is the environment in which humans and computers coexist and properly work together. I would like to present a service infrastructure for a more efficient context-awareness than computing home networking system in this monograph. In the mean time, they have focused the context-awareness system on identifying users in the designated space and recognition. But I would like to focus on the middleware system structure for more efficient recognition.

3D Visualization for Situational Awareness of Air Force Operations (공중작전 상황인식을 위한 3차원 가시화)

  • This paper proposes a real-time 3D visualization system for situational awareness of Air force operations. This 3D system of situational awareness supports a high-level commander of Air force during the war game operations. These situation aware supporting data such as the aircraft track data of radar, aircraft schedule database, map and satellite image data are integrated into one structured data and those are visualized as 3D structure. By using an Out-of-Core method, we can visualize a 3D huge data in real-time in mobile notebook environment. The experiment shows several examples of 3D visualization supporting situation awareness for Air force operation.

  • As the ubiquitous technology has penetrated into almost every aspect of modern life, the research of the security technology to solve the weakness of security in the ubiquitous environment is received much attention. Because, however, today's security systems are usually based on the fixed rules, many security systems can not handle diverse situations in the ubiquitous environment appropriately. Although many existing researches on context aware security service are based on ACL (Access Control List) or RBAC (Role Based Access Control), they have an overhead in the management of security policy and can not manipulate unexpected situations. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a context-aware security service providing multiple authentications and authorization from a security level which is decided dynamically in a context-aware environment using FCM (Fuzzy C-Means) clustering algorithm and Fuzzy Decision Tree. We show proposed model can solve typical conflict problems of RBAC system due to the fixed rules and improve overhead problem in the security policy management. We expect to apply the proposed model to the various applications using contextual information of the user such as healthcare system, rescue systems, and so on.

  • 최근 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경의 실현 가능성이 높아지면서 동적으로 변화하는 외부 환경에서의 소프트웨어 역할이 중요해지고 있다. 유비쿼터스 환경에서는 소프트웨어가 외부환경의 변화를 감지하고 이에 대응하는 적절한 서비스를 제공하기 위해서 지속적으로 외부환경에 대한 정보를 이용하게 된다. 이러한 외부환경에 대한 정보, 즉 상황정보를 이용하는 상황인식 애플리케이션을 개발하기 위해서는 소프트웨어의 기능을 분석하고 설계하는 것뿐만 아니라 소프트웨어가 동작하는 외부환경의 변화를 분석하고 설계하는 것이 병행되어야 한다. 기존의 소프트웨어 설계 방법들은 소프트웨어가 동작하는 외부환경의 변화를 분석하고 이를 상황정보로서 획득하기 위한 방법에 대한 고려가 부족하였다. 본 논문에서는 상황인식 애플리케이션을 위해 획득되어야 하는 상황정보를 분석하고 모델링하는 방법을 제시한다. 또한 이를 이용하여 상황인식 애플리케이션이 수행해야 하는 상황규칙을 정의하는 방법을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제시한 방법을 적용한 상황인식 강의실 관리시스템에 대한 개발 사례연구를 소개한다.

  • Context-aware systems are reactive computing systems, aware of external context. Considering various sensors and actuators connected, application programming on top of such systems is known to be much more complex than in contentional ones. This paper suggests a formal framework for context-aware systems, by extracting their common properties. That makes a useful birds-eye view for the behaviors of a whole complex system, as a base for a convenient developing environment and systematic analysis. In this framework, reactive-ness is handled by event-condition-action rules and global state-transitions, which are essential in a lot of context-aware applications. In addition, behaviors of each elementary device are modelled with its own state-transitions, and tightly bound to the entire task.

  • 자율운항선박의 효과적인 운영을 위해서는 자선 주변 해상 환경의 장애물 및 자선, 타선에 대한 통합적인 상황인식 정보가 요구된다. 상황인식은 현재의 시점에서 관측되는 정보를 바탕으로 운항 해역에 대한 종합적인 인식과 함께 가까운 미래에서 발생할 수 있는 위험 상황 및 비정상 상황에 대한 추론까지를 포함한다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 자율운항선박의 원격 상황인식을 위한 기초연구로써, 선박자동식별시스템 AIS의 항적 정보 분석에 대한 내용을 수행한다. AIS에서 얻어지는 항적 정보를 이용한 해상 상황인식을 수행하기 위한 전처리 과정으로써, 손실 데이터에 대한 보간 방법에 대한 연구를 수행한다. 구체적인 방법론은, 추적필터를 이용한 보간 방법과 항적 정보 학습 기반의 보간 방법을 적용하였으며, AIS에서 얻어지는 실제 항적 데이터를 이용하여 초기 결과를 검증하였다.

A Case Based Music Recommendation System using Context-Awareness (상황 인식을 이용한 사례기반 음악추천시스템)

  • The context-awareness is one of the core technologies in ubiquitous computing environment. In this research, we incorporated the capability of context-awareness in a case-based music recommendation system. Our proposed system consists of Intention Module and Recommendation Module. The Intention Module infers whether a user wants to listen to the music or not from the environmental context information. Then, the Recommendation Module selects songs from the songs that are listened by similar users in similar context, and recommends them to the user. The results showed that our proposed system outperformed the traditional case-based music recommendation system in accuracy by about 9% point.
