바이오 피드백을 이용한 뇌-컴퓨터 인터페이스 시스템

  • 인간과 컴퓨터의 연결에 인간의 두뇌에서 발생하는 신호를 계측하여 원하는 목적에 이용하는 brain computer interface(BCI)에 관한 연구가 최근에 활발히 이루어지고 있다[1]. BCI는 뇌에서 발생하는 뇌파 신호의 해석 및 분석을 통하여 뇌와 컴퓨터 간에 통신 채널을 형성함으로써 사람이 입, 눈, 손 등의 근육 움직임을 통하지 않고 상호간에 정보를 전달할 수 있도록 하는 인터페이스 방법이다.

A Structural Analysis between Overseas Opening of Geospatial Information and the Promotion of Geospatial Information Industry Using the Systems Thinking (시스템 사고를 통한 지도데이터 국외개방과 공간정보 산업 활성화간 인과구조 분석)

  • South Korea has been reluctant to open its geospatial information overseas to ensure security as a divided country. However, this cannot continue as the domestic and international environments related to geospatial information and the industrial ecosystem of information and communication technologies have been changing dramatically. Within this context, this study aims to analyze the causal relations among relevant variables and how they change and interact with time using a systems thinking process. First, causal maps were created for the domains of national security, map-based convergence service, and corporate competition. Then, the causal maps for each domain were integrated, based on which the points for policy intervention and dominant feedback loops were identified. The analysis results showed that securing the self-sufficiency of domestic geospatial businesses is a key element to determine the whole causal map, and the variable that changes the dominant feedback loop from a vicious circle to a virtuous one is the decision to open geospatial information overseas. In this study, I found the policy leverage that is a policy intervention point that can produce a great effect with little input by building a causal map of the interactions between major variables. This study is significant in that it identified and analyzed the dominant feedback loop as to which causal structure would dominate the system in the long term. The results of this study can be used to discuss not only the impacts of map data overseas opening on the national security and geospatial information industry, but also the interactions in the future when Google or other global companies request to release the geospatial information.

Error analysis on factorization and the effect of online individualization classes (인수분해에 대한 오류 분석과 온라인 개별화 수업의 효과)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the misconceptions and errors incurred during factorization learning. We also examined whether online individualization classes had a positive effect on students' mathematical achievement. The experiment was conducted for 4 weeks (16 times in total) on middle school juniors in rural areas of Gyeonggi Province, where the influence of private extra education was small. In the class, the 'Google Classroom' was used as a LMS, the video lecture was uploaded to YouTube, and the teacher interacted with the students through "Zoom" and "Facetalk". In the online class situation, students' assignments and test answers were checked in real time through 'Google Classroom', and immediate feedback was provided to the experimental class group's students. However, for the control group students, feedback was provided only to those who desired. A total of 7 achievement evaluations were conducted in the order of pre-test, formative evaluation (5 times), and post-test to confirm the change in students' ability improvement and achievement. Through the formative evaluation analysis, it was possible to grasp the types of errors and misconceptions that occured during the factorization process. Students' errors were divided into four types: theorem or definition distortion error, functional errors such as calculation, operation, and manipulation, errors that do not verify the solution, and no response. As a result of ANCOVA, the two groups did not show any difference from the 1st to 4th formative assessment. However, the 5th formative assessment and post-test showed statistically significant differences, confirming that online individualization classes contributed to improvemed achievement.

State Visualization Design of AI Speakers using Color Field Painting (색면추상 기법을 통한 AI 스피커의 상태 시각화 디자인 연구)

  • Recently released AI speakers show a pattern of interacting with the user by mainly with voice and simultaneously displaying simple and formal visual feedback through status LED light. This is due to the limitations of the product characteristics of the speaker, which makes it difficult to interact variously, and even such visual feedback is not standardized for each product, and thus does not give a consistent user experience. By maximizing the visual elements that can be expressed through color and abstract movement to assist voice feedback, the product can provide the user with an extended experience that includes not only functional satisfaction but also emotional satisfaction. In this study, after analyzing the interaction methods of the existing AI speakers, we examined the theory of color communication in order to expand the visual feedback effect, and examined the meaning and expression technique of Color Field Painting, an art genre that maximizes the emotional experience by using only color. Through this, the AI speaker's visual communication function was expanded by designing a way to feedback communication status using LED light.

Speaking Education Plan for University Students by Using the Method of Peer and Self Evaluation Feedback (동료 및 자기 평가 피드백을 통한 대학생 말하기 교육 방안)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore and to suggest the effective teaching methods for university students to improve their speaking abilities through peer assessment-feedback and self assessment-feedback based presentation and debate class. The objects and content of the study were the students who took a class "Reading and Communication" of H university, and here examine closely the speaking activities and their effects during the integrated activities of 'reading, speaking and writing'. In speaking education peer and self assessment feedback is to form an emotional consensus among the students and encourage active participation, and enable self-discovery and communication learning to students. As a result of the study, it was found that the variety speaking practice had a very positive effect on the attitude of speaking and the psychological aspect, and it was confirmed that the evaluation and feedback activities had a meaningful learning effect on the students. Effective speech education and guidance measures should be continuously studied and developed.

  • 모바일 환경에서 휴대폰을 사용하다 보면 무의식적으로 전화를 받지 못하는(Missing call) 상황이 빈번하게 일어난다. 휴대폰에서는 기본적으로 시각 청각 촉각의 다중양식 피드백(Multimodal feedback)을 제공하고 있음에도 불구하고, 이렇게 Missing call 이 발생하는 현상에는 여러 가지 다양한 원인이 존재할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 원인을 찾기 위해 모바일 환경 내 휴대폰 사용자 행동연구를 실시하여 일반적인 휴대패턴을 분석하고, Missing call과 관련하여 주로 설정하는 수신모드와 휴대패턴의 상호영향을 연구하고자 하였다. 본 연구결과, 모바일 환경에서 휴대폰 수신 탐지능력에는 인지심리학적(감각과 주의관련), 환경적, 행동학적 요인이 영향을 미칠 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 모바일 환경에서 주로 사용하는 수신모드인 진동모드 설정시, 휴대폰 사용자가 속한 환경에 다른 요인들이 복합적으로 존재할 경우 휴대폰 수신에 대한 탐지만족도가 감소함을 확인할 수 있었다.

Design and Implementation of a Web Courseware for Learning ‘Digital Circuit’ (‘디지털 회로’ 학습을 위한 웹 코스웨어의 설계와 구현)

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented a practice-oriented simulation-type web courseware to learn the ‘Digital Circuits’ subject effectively. The implemented web courseware utilized multimedia elements such as graphics, animations, and voices etc. for improving understanding and interaction of learning. Also, the web courseware could be easily updated a learning information by using database built in a web server system. In result, the implemented web courseware could encourage a learner with a motive of learning and improve effects of learning. Also, a learner can widely learn because we can add various contents to database according to need. Furthermore, the web courseware could improve understanding for learning by offering feedback on the result.

  • We developed a smart learning system by using the 'bring your own device' concept, which means the policy of permitting teacher and learners to bring personally owned mobile devices such as laptops, tablets, smart phones, etc. and applied the system to school classes. In addition, we analyzed the learner's satisfaction related to interfaces, interactions, applications, technical support, and evaluation areas. The evaluation system consists of App program for tablet PC's and smartphones, web program for desktop PC and electronic teaching desk, and server program for evaluation and database. Because all the teaching materials, feedback data and evaluation materials about learners are stored on the server, students can receive the necessary data through real-time feedback using their smartphones and desktop PC's. As a result, it could increase educational achievement with interest in learning.

Probabilistic Approach to Estimation of Drought Possibility for Vegetation Based on Satellite Observation (위성관측 기반의 식생의 가뭄 가능성 추정을 위한 확률론적 접근방법)

  • 식생은 증발산, 강우, 토양 수분 등 다양한 수문기상 요인과 밀접한 관계가 있기 때문에 식생의 상태는 가뭄 발생 시 물 부족에 매우 큰 영향을 받는다. 가뭄에 따른 식생의 변화와 영향을 파악하기 위해서는 식생-기후의 피드백을 이해해야 한다. 식생과 기후변수의 상호관계를 묘사하고 결합 확률을 구성하는 것은 식생-기후의 피드백을 이해하는데 적절하다. Copula 함수는 모든 변수를 연결하는 이점을 가지기 때문에 다양한 확률 변수를 결합하는 강력한 접근방법으로, copula를 통한 확률론적 접근방법은 수문 기상 스트레스에 대한 식생의 반응을 효과적으로 조사할 수 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 copula 기반의 식생-기후의 상호관계를 통해 가뭄 발생 시 식생이 받을 수 있는 영향을 정량화하고자 한다. 이를 위해 위성 자료를 활용한 식생건강성지수(Vegetation Health Index, VHI)와 위성관측된 강수 및 잠재증발산 자료를 적용하여 높은 공간 해상도에서 한국 전역의 식생 가뭄 가능성을 추정하고자 하였다. 강수 및 잠재증발산 자료를 통해 다양한 가뭄지수를 산정하고, copula 결합 이론을 기반으로 VHI와 가뭄지수 간의 이변량 결합 확률모델이 제안된다. 이에 조건부 확률을 적용하여 다양한 가뭄 시나리오에서 식생의 가뭄 가능성을 추정하고, 가뭄에 취약한 지역을 공간적으로 분석하고자 한다. 이를 통해 가뭄 스트레스에 따른 식생 변화와 생태학적 가뭄의 공간적 특성을 효과적으로 파악할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

A Study of User Experience Based on Feedback Positioning of Home Robots and Approach-Avoidance Behaviors: Focused on the Context of Tasks (가정용 로봇의 피드백 움직임과 접근-회피 행동에 따른 사용자 경험 연구: 작업 수행 상황을 중심으로)

  • Due to pandemic situations, the development of home robots that can make the house an optimized space for various activities is active. This study aims to confirm the effectiveness of approach or avoidance behavior for feedback positioning on the user experience, depending on the context in which the robot performs the task. Based on two types of the task contexts(Reactive vs. Proactive) and three types of robot feedback positioning(No move vs. Avoidance vs. Approach), six different scenarios were designed for experimental study. Likeability, perceived intelligence, rapport, negative attitude and predictability of behavior are measured for each conditions. The result showed the main effects of perceived intelligence, rapport, predictability in the context of tasks, and of likability, perceived intelligence, rapport in robot feedback positioning. The interaction effects were shown in likeability and perceived intelligence. In conclusion, approach-avoidance experiences can also be applied to robot behaviors as well, and the negative effects of avoidance have been significantly confirmed.
