  • This paper presents an efficient method to estimate the induced current by the external electromagnetic wave when the line system is composed of cascaded transmission lines. To solve this phenomena, we apply the state variable method to the nonhomogeneous differential equation. This new method is the way of transferring the sources at a different point by the Ch- aracteristics of the transition matrix. Using this method, we investigate the characteristics of the induced power of the transmission line above the perfectly conducting ground plane.

빛을 이용한 저항 변화 메모리 제어

  • 차세대 비휘발성 메모리 소자로서 각광받고 있는 저항 변화 메모리(resistive switching random access memory; ReRAM) 소자는 속도가 빠르고, 에너지 소모가 적으며, 고집적화를 이루기 용이하다는 강점을 보유하고 있다. 지금까지 저항변화 물질의 최적화를 위해 매우 다양한 물질들이 연구되고 있으며, 그 물질에 따라 스위칭 메커니즘 및 동작 방법이 다르게 보고되어 왔다. 하지만 저항변화 메모리의 스위칭 거동은 전형적인 전기적 제어 조건으로부터 구현되었기 때문에 한정된 소자 특성을 나타낼 수밖에 없었다. 본 연구에서는 새로운 메모리 제어 조건으로 빛을 이용함으로써 한정된 소자 특성으로부터 벗어나고자 하였다. 저항 변화 물질로 잘 알려진 ZnO를 표면적이 넓은 형태로 합성하기 위하여 hydrothermal 방법으로 FTO 기판 위에 수직하게 배열된 ZnO 나노와이어를 형성하고 그 위에 Au 상부 전극을 형성하여 금속-절연체-금속 소자 구조를 제작하였다. 본 연구에서는 전형적인 전기적 제어 조건에 더불어 빛의 입사 유무 조건을 바꿔가면서 Au/ZnO 나노와이어/FTO 소자의 저항 변화 특성을 평가 하였을 뿐만 아니라 전기적 인가 없이 오직 빛만으로 두 가지 안정한 저항 상태를 반복적으로 전환하는 특성을 유도하였다. 본 결과를 바탕으로 필라멘트 이론에 기초한 저항 변화 메커니즘을 설명하는 모델이 제시되었다.

소 수정란이식에 있어서 효율적 발정동기화 처리법에 관한 연구

  • 소의 수정란이식에 있어서 성공적인 임신을 위해서는 수란우의 적절한 영양상태, 양질의 수정란, 이식 시술자의 기술력과 수란우와 수정란의 적절한 동기화가 필수 요인이라 사료된다. 특히, 적절한 동기화를 위해서 발정관찰은 필수적이지만 번거롭고 장시간동안 관찰을 해야 하는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 단점을 보완할 수 있도록 발정동기화 처리방법을 비교, 검토하여 수정란이식에 있어서 효과적인 발정동기화 방법을 모색하고자 실시하였다. 발정동기화 방법은 Fig 1과 같이 CIDR처리방법(A군)과 GnRH 처리방법(B군)을 사용하였으며, 황체의 등급은 직장검사와 초음파 진단기를 이용하여 직경이 2cm 이상, 1~2cm와 1cm 미만의 황체를 각각 1등급, 2등급과 3등급으로 분류하였다. 또한 본 실험에 공시된 수정란은 체외 생산된 한우 배반포기의 수정란을 사용하였으며, 1등급의 황체를 가진 수란우만을 선별하여 비외과적인 방법으로 황체가 존재하는 자궁각심부에 이식하였다. 임신진단은 이식 후 45~60일에 직장검사와 초음파진단을 이용하여 실시하였다. 발정동기화처리결과는 Table 1에서 보는 바와 같이 A군과 B군에서 발정발현율이 각각 100%와 96%로 나타났으며, 이식하기에 적합한 1등급 황체의 출현율이 65.4%와 56%로 A군에서 다소 높게 나타났다. 발정동기화 처리방법에 따른 수정란 이식 후 수태율은 A군에서 신선란과 동결란일 때 각각 66.7%와 60%로 나타나 B군의 22.2%와 0%의 결과보다 유의적으로 높은 결과를 나타내었다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과로 미루어 볼 때 수정란 이식을 위한 발정동기화 방법은 CIDR 처리방법을 적용하는 것이 GnRH 처리방법 보다 효율적이라 사료된다.다. 특히 기능황체에서의 특이적 발현 spot을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과들로부터 황체의 progesterone분비기능의 역할을 수행하기 위한 단백질들이 전, 중기에 발현된다는 것을 알 수 있고 퇴행황체에서는 발현이 안되고 있는 것을 알 수 있다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 다른 양상을 띤 spot을 분리하여 어떤 단백질인지를 분석하여 각각의 황체단백질의 특성을 규명할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.적율(HCT)을 이루고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 적혈구 평균용적(Mean Corpuscular Volume ; MCV), 평균적혈구혈색소량(Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin ; MCH), 평균적혈구혈색소농도(Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration ; MCHC) 그리고 혈소판(Platelets) 분석결과 형질전환돼지가 일반돼지보다 약간 높은 수치를 나타냈으며 변화양상 또한 유사한 결과를 나타내었다. 이와 같은 시험분석결과를 토대로 사람 조혈촉진유전자(hEPO)가 형질전환된 돼지는 유즙으로 발현할 수 있도록 형질전환 되었음에도 불구하고 헤모글로빈 및 적혈구가 증가함으로서 형질전환돼지 개체의 혈장으로도 사람 조혈촉진인자가 분비하고 있음을 간접적으로 알 수 있었다. 정상돼지 보다 형질전환돼지가 약 30% 높은HCT 수준을 보였으며 이러한 현상은 사람에서는 적혈구증다증(erythrocytosis)으로 분류되고 있다. 이에 대한 고찰은 형질전환돼지 자체의 생리적 문제점(side effects)에 대한 해결과 더불어 기존의 인간질병에 대한 모델동물로서의 이용 가능성을 제시할 수 있는 것으로 사료된다.mu\textrm{m}$ 300BG는 56.32$\mu\tex

  • In this study a method of shape optimization is applied to two dimensional heat transfer system. For this the optimization problem is defined in a functional form including cost, constraints and the system governing equation. Then the material derivative concept in continuum mechanics and the adjoint variable method are employed for the shape design sensitivity analysis. With the sensitivity analysis results, an optimum is sought with the gradient projection optimization algorithm. The two dimensional isoparametric finite elements are used for accurate analysis and sensitivity calculations. The above method is employed to find the boundary shape to achieve a desired temperature distribution along a segment of the boundary subject to the maximum area constraint.

  • Dynamic numerical analysis of geotechnical problems requires a way to simulate the decrease of energy as the domain of interest gets larger. This phenomenon is usually referred to as radiation damping or geometric attenuation and it is distinguished from material damping in which elastic energy is actually dissipated by viscous, hysteretic, or other mechanism. The fact that the domain of analysis in numerical modeling must be chosen, however, causes a need for special attention at the boundary. This observation leads directly to the idea of determining the dynamic response of the interior region from a finite model consisting of the interior region subjected to a boundary condition which ensures that all energy arriving at the boundary is absorbed. This paper presents a simple methodology to simulate transmitting boundaries condition using viscoelastic infinite elements within the recently developed "OpenSees" finite element code. The methodology used here provides that the level of absorption for traveling waves is efficient enough for practical purposes, but unsatisfactory for the case of sharp incident angles. The effectiveness of the infinite elements for the absorption of incident waves at boundaries is evaluated via example analysis.

  • This paper presents intelligent digital redesign method of global approach for hybrid state space fuzzy-model-based controllers. For effectiveness and stabilization of continuous-time uncertain nonlinear systems under discrete-time controller, Takagi-Sugeno(TS) fuzzy model is used to represent tile complex system. And global approach design problems viewed as a convex optimization problem that we minimize the error of the norm bounds between nonlinearly interpolated linear operators to be matched. Also, by using the power series, we analyzed nonlinear system's uncertain parts more precisely. When a sampling period is sufficiently small, the conversion of a continuous-time structured uncertain nonlinear system to an equivalent discrete-time system have proper reason. Sufficiently conditions for the global state-matching of tile digitally controlled system are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, a TS fuzzy model for the chaotic Lorentz system is used as an example to guarantee the stability and effectiveness of the proposed method.

Studies on the Generation of Transgenic Cow Producing Human Lactoferrin in the Milk (락토페린을 우유에서 생산하는 형질전환 젖소의 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Human lactoferrin (hLF) was expressed in the mammary gland of transgenic mice. Expresion of hLF was achieved by palcing its cDNA under the control of bovine $\beta$-casein gene. To improve the hLF expression level, two artificial introns were introduced into the expression vector. One intron is a hybrid-splice consisting of bovine $\beta$ casein intron 1 and rabbit $\beta$-casem intron II. The other intron is a DNA fragment spanning intron 8 of bovine $\beta$ casein gene. Trans sgenic mice were developed which expressed hLF in their milk. Twenty lines of transgenic mice were produced. hLF was present in the milk at concentrations of 1 ~ 200 ${\mu}\textrm{g}$ / ml. hLF RNA was only detected in the mammary gland of transgenic mice. The expressed RNA was cor r rectly spliced at the exon /intron junctions. To generate transgenic cows secreting active hLF in their milk, we transferred the DNA-injected bovine embryos to recipient heifers by surgical a and non-surgical methods out of 68 embryos transferred to 51 recipients by surgical or non-surgical method, 7 calves were normally born. Effect of embryo quality of DNA-injected blastocysts on pregnancy rate after transfer was investig a ated. Higher pregnancy rate of (38.9%) DNA-injected embryos was shown in excellent embryos. Pregnancy rates in the groups of good a and fair embryos were 15.4 and 14.3%, respectively. Effect of culture period of DNA-injected b bovine embryos on pregnancy rate after transfer was investigated. When Day-6 blastocysts of cuI ture were transferred, there was no pregnancy. Pregnancy rates of Day-7 and -8 blastocysts were 28.6 and 33.3%, respectively. There was no difference on pregnancy rate between Day-7 a and -8 bovine blastocysts after DNA injection. Thus, we established the techniques for transfer a and culture of DNA-injected bovine embryos. In a addition, factors affecting the pregnancy rate of DNA-injected embryos after transfer were investigated .

Trophic State Index (TSI) and Empirical Models, Based on Water Quality Parameters, in Korean Reservoirs (우리나라 대형 인공호에서 영양상태 평가 및 수질 변수를 이용한 경험적 모델 구축)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate trophic conditions of various Korean reservoirs using Trophic State Index (TSI) and predict the reservoir conditions by empirical models. The water quality dataset (2000, 2001) used here were obtained from the Ministry of Environment, Korea. The water quality, based on multi-parameters of dissolved oxygen (DO), biological oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), total phosphorus (TP), total nitrogen (TN), suspended solid (SS), Secchi depth (SD), chlorophyll-${\alpha}$ (CHL), and conductivity largely varied depending on the sampling watersheds and seasons. In general, trophic conditions declined along the longitudinal axis of headwater-to-the dam and the largest seasonal variations occurred during the summer monsoon of July-August. Major inputs of TP occurred during the monsoon (r=0.656, p=0.002) and this pattern was similar to solid dynamics of SS (r=0.678, p<0.001). Trophic parameters including CHL, TP, SD, and TN were employed to evaluate how the water systems varies with season. Trophic State Index (TSI, Carlson, 1977), based on TSI (CHL), TSI (TP), and TSI (SD), ranged from mesotrophic to eutrophic. However, the trophic state, based on TSI (TN), indicated eutrophic-hypereutrophic conditions in the entire reservoirs, regardless of the seasons, indicating a N-rich system. Overall, nutrient data showed that phosphorus was a primary factor regulating the trophic state. The relationships between CHL (eutrophication index) vs. trophic parameters (TN, TP, and SD) were analysed to develop empirical models which can predict the trophic status. Regression analyses of log-transformed seasonal CHL against TP showed that the value of $R^2$ was 0.31 (p=0.017) in the premonsoon but was 0.69 (p<0.001) during the postmonsoon, indicating a greater algal response to the phosphorus during the postmonsoon. In contrast, SD had reverse relation with TP, CHL during all season. TN had weak relations with CHL during all seasons. Overall, data suggest that TP seems to be a good predictor for algal biomass, estimated by CHL, as shown in the empirical models.

  • As the aging of large domestic SOC facilities accelerates, facility maintenance is also changing from safety evaluation based on the current condition to performance-oriented preventive and preemptive maintenance based on the prediction of the level of future obsolescence. In particular, in the case of bridges, class 1 and 2 bridges are systematically managed along with many studies, but for small and medium-sized class 3 bridges there is no collection and utilization of historical data presenting performance degradation during their service life. Therefore, in this study, 3D model-based demonstration DB system was designed and developed to intuitively check the damage change rate at the damage location by registering the maintenance history by life cycle for each member's exterior damage in the 3D bridge object and to enable API-based comprehensive performance evaluation.

Reservoir Trophic State and Empirical Model Analysis, Based on Nutrients, Transparency, and Chlorophyll-${\alpha}$ Along with Their Relations Among the Parameters (영양염류, 투명도 및 엽록소를 이용한 인공호 영양상태, 경험적 모델 분석 및 변수들 간의 상호관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine trophic state, based on nutrients (TN, TP), transparency (SD), and chlorophyll-${\alpha}$ (Chl) and identify their empirical relations of TN-Chl, TP-Chl and Chl-SD depending on the dataset used along with dynamics of conductivity and suspended solids. Analysis of trophic states showed that more than half of 36 reservoirs were judged as eutrophic-hypertrophic conditions depending on the trophic variables. Seasonal values of TP varied by nearly 500% and showed greater in August than any other months. In contrast, TN varied within less than 90% and all monthly mean values of TN were never fall less than 1.2 mg L$^{-1}$ indicating low seasonal variations and high ambient concentrations (eutrophic-hypertrophic state). Analysis of empirical relations in the trophic variables showed that transparency had greater functional relations with Chl (R$^2$=0.31, p<0.001) than TP (R$^2$=0.15, p<0.001) and TN (R$^2$=0.20, p<0.001). Ratios of TN : TP in the ambient water indicated that most reservoirs showed a potential phosphorous limitation on the algal growth. Thus, algal biomass, based on Chl values, was more regulated by phosphorous than nitrogen. Analysis of linear regression model, based on log-transformed annual mean values, showed that only 30% in the variation of Chl was explained by TP (R$^2$=0.295, p=0.001, n=36) and 15% by TN (R$^2$=0.151, p=0.019, n=36). However, linear regression model, based on individual system, showed that Chl-TP model had strong positive relations (R$^2$=0.62, p=0.002, n=12), whereas the model had no any relations (p=0.892, n=12). Overall, our data suggested that averaging effect in the empirical model developments may influence the significance in the statistical analysis.
