A Precise Relative Positioning Method Based on Time-Differenced Carrier Phase Measurements from Low-Cost GNSS Receiver (저비용 GNSS 수신기를 이용한 반송파 위상 시각간 차분 측정치 기반의 정밀 상대위치 결정 기법)

  • In this paper, a precise relative positioning with TD(time differenced) carrier phase measurements from a low-cost GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System) receiver is proposed and analysed. The proposed method is using carrier phase measurement from a single GNSS receiver that reference receiver is not required and stand alone positioning is possible. TD operation removes the troublesome integer ambiguity resolution problem, and if the time interval is short, other error, such as, ionospheric, tropospheric delay and ephemeris error are effectively eliminated. The error analysis of the proposed method shows that a precise and positioning with carrier phase is possible. The implemented system is evaluated using a real car experiments. The results show that the horizontal positioning error was less than 3m during 10 minutes experiments, which is 4 times more precise than the results of normal code based absolute positioning.

HEXFEM 코드의 연소계산 검증

  • 이 논문에서는 육방형 노심 해석용으로 제작된 코드인 HEXFEM의 연소계산 결과의 정확성을 VVER-1000 연소계산 벤치마크 문제를 통하여 검증하였으며 집합체내 연소도 구배효과에 따른 오차를 분석하였다. 집합체내 연소도 구배효과를 고려했을 때 집합체내 균일한 연소도를 가정했을 때보다 오차가 현저히 감소하였으며 Cubic Option의 결과는 제어봉이 삽입된 1주기초(BOC1 ARI), 1주기초(BOC1), 1주기말(EOC1), 2주기초(BOC2)에 대해 집합체별 상대출력 오차가 최대 0,4%로 매우 정확한 결과를 얻었고 Quadratic Option외 결과도 최대 2.0%로 비교적 정확한 결과를 얻었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 2차원 평면상을 주행하는 이동 로봇의 목표물에 대한 상대 위치 및 방향각을 측정하는 방법에 대하여 제안한다. 측정을 위해 사용되는 센서는 스테레오 카메라로, 이동 로봇은 3DOF의 특징을 갖고 있으므로 두 개의 점을 이용하여 상대 위치 및 방향각을 측정하는 방법을 제안한다. 상대 위치를 측정하는 과정에서 외란에 의한 위치 오차가 발생하게 되며, 이에 대한 대책으로 칼만 필터를 적용하여 더욱 강건한 상대 위치 추정을 한다. 마지막으로 MATLAB을 이용한 시뮬레이션을 통하여 외란이 존재하는 환경 하에서 제안된 시스템의 성능을 확인한다.

Development of Realtime Dam's Hydrologic Variables Prediction Model using Observed Data Assimilation and Reservoir Operation Techniques (관측자료 동화기법과 댐운영을 고려한 실시간 댐 수문량 예측모형 개발)

  • This study developed a real-time dam's hydrologic variables prediction model (DHVPM) and evaluated its performance for simulating historical dam inflow and outflow in the Chungju dam basin. The DHVPM consists of the Sejong University River Forecast (SURF) model for hydrologic modeling and an autoreservoir operation method (Auto ROM) for dam operation. SURF model is continuous rainfall-runoff model with data assimilation using an ensemble Kalman filter technique. The four extreme events including the maximum inflow of each year for 2006~2009 were selected to examine the performance of DHVPM. The statistical criteria, the relative error in peak flow, root mean square error, and model efficiency, demonstrated that DHVPM with data assimilation can simulate more close to observed inflow than those with no data assimilation at both 1-hour lead time, except the relative error in peak flow in 2007. Especially, DHVPM with data assimilation until 10-hour lead time reduced the biases of inflow forecast attributed to observed precipitation error. In conclusion, DHVPM with data assimilation can be useful to improve the accuracy of inflow forecast in the basin where real-time observed inflow are available.

Modelling of the noise-added saturated steam table using neural networks (노이즈가 포함된 포화증기표의 신경회로망 모델링)

  • The thermodynamic properties of steam table are obtained by measurement or approximate calculation under appropriate assumptions. Therefore they are supposed to have basic measurement errors. And thermodynamic properties should be modeled through function approximation for using in numerical analysis. In order to make noised thermodynamic properties corresponding to measurement errors, random numbers are generated, adjusted to appropriate magnitudes and added to original thermodynamic properties. Both neural networks and quadratic spline interpolation method are introduced for function approximation of these modified thermodynamic properties in the saturated water based on pressure and temperature. In analysis spline interpolation method gives much less relative errors than neural networks at both ends of data. Excluding the both ends of data, the relative errors of neural networks is generally within ${\pm}0.2%$ and those of spline interpolation method within ${\pm}0.5$~1.5%. This means that the neural networks give smaller relative errors compared with quadratic spline interpolation method within range of use. From this fact it was confirmed that the neural networks trace the original values better than the quadratic interpolation method and neural networks are more appropriate method in modelling the saturated steam table.

  • The algorithm for calculating the base-collector breakdown voltage of NPN BJT for integrated circuits is proposed. The method of three-dimensional mesh generation to minimize the time required for device simulation is presented and the method for calculating the breakdown voltage using solutions of the Poisson´s equation is presented. To verify the proposed method, the breakdown voltage between base and collector of NPN BJT using 20V process and 30V process is compared with the measured data. The breakdown voltage from the proposed method of NPN BJT using 20V process shows an averaged relative error of 8.0% compared with the measured data and the breakdown voltage of NPN BJT using 30V process shows an averaged relative error of 4.3% compared with the measured data.

  • This study was carried out to develop the regression model for estimating biomass of natural Pinus densiflora forests by stand density in northeast Chinese area of Mt. Paekdu. Four allometric regression models(W=aD$^b$, W=a(D$^2$H)$^b$. logW=a+b$\cdot$ logD+cD and logW=a+b$\cdot$log(D$^2$H)+c(D$^2$H)) were used to estimate biomass for each of the tree components. The suitable regression model for estimating biomass of stem, bark and whole tree above ground was logW=a+b$\cdot$log(D$^2$H)+c(D$^2$H), and that for biomass of branch, needle and needle area, logW=a+b$\cdot$logD+cD for all of the stand density classes.

  • Robot calibration is very important to improve the accuracy of robot manipulators. However, the calibration procedure is very time consuming and laborious work for users. In this paper, we propose a method of relative error compensation to make the calibration procedure easier. The method is completed by a Pi-Sigma network architecture which has sufficient capability to approximate the relative relationship between the accuracy compensations and robot configurations while maintaining an efficient network learning ability. By experiment of 4-DOF SCARA robot, KIRO-3, it is shown that both the error of joint angles and the positioning error of end effector are drop to 15$\%$. These results are similar to those of other calibration methods, but the number of measurement is remarkably decreased by the suggested compensation method.

  • We developed a constant current source which is insensitive to threshold voltage variation caused by irregular grain boundary distribution in polycrystalline silicon. The proposed current source has superior saturation characteristics over wide range of input voltages as well as small current error compared to the previously reported Vth compensated sources. We measured the circuit performance and error in current due to parameter variation by using HSPICE.

  • A comparison is made of the heat loss from a hollow cylinder, computed using an one-dimensional analytic method and a two-dimensional separation of variables scheme. For a two-dimensional analysis, the temperature of the inner surface as a boundary condition can be varied along the length of the cylinder by varing the temperature variation factor, b. Comparisons of the heat loss from the hollow cylinder using these two methods are given as a function of non-dimensional cylinder length, the ratio of the outer radius to the inner radius, temperature variation factor and Biot number. The result shows that the value of the heat loss from the hollow cylinder obtained using the one-dimensional analytic method becomes close to the value given by the two-dimensional separation of variables scheme as the value of Biot number and the non-dimensional hollow cylinder length increase and as the ratio of the outer radius to the inner radius decreases.
