Parameters Estimation of Clark Model based on Width Function (폭 함수를 기반으로 한 Clark 모형의 매개변수 추정)

  • This paper presents the methodology for construction of time-area curve via the width function and thereby rational estimation of time of concentration and storage coefficient of Clark model within the framework of method of moments. To this end time-area curve is built by rescaling the grid-based width function under the assumption of pure translation and then the analytical expressions for two parameters of Clark model are proposed in terms of method of moments. The methodology in this study based on the analytical expressions mentioned before is compared with both (1) the traditional optimization method of Clark model provided by HEC-1 in which the symmetric time-area curve is used and the difference between observed and simulated hydrographs is minimized (2) and the same optimization method but replacing time-area curve with rescaled width function in respect of peak discharge and time to peak of simulated direct runoff hydrographs and their efficiency coefficient relative to the observed ones. The following points are worth of emphasizing: (1) The optimization method by HEC-1 with rescaled width function among others results in the parameters well reflecting the observed runoff hydrograph with respect to peak discharge coordinates and coefficient of efficiency; (2) For the better application of Clark model it is recommended to use the time-area curve capable of accounting for irregular drainage structure of a river basin such as rescaled width function instead of symmetric time-area curve by HEC-1; (3) Moment-based methodology with rescaled width function developed in this study also gives rise to satisfactory simulation results in terms of peak discharge coordinates and coefficient of efficiency. Especially the mean velocities estimated from this method, characterizing the translation effect of time-area curve, are well consistent with the field surveying results for the points of interest in this study; (4) It is confirmed that the moment-based methodology could be an effective tool for quantitative assessment of translation and storage effects of natural river basin; (5) The runoff hydrographs simulated by the moment-based methodology tend to be more right skewed relative to the observed ones and have lower peaks. It is inferred that this is due to consideration of only one mean velocity in the parameter estimation. Further research is required to combine the hydrodynamic heterogeneity between hillslope and channel network into the construction of time-area curve.

Mechanical Properties and Resistance to Freezing and Thawing of the Recycled Aggregate Concrete with Metakaolin (메타카올린을 혼합한 재생골재 콘크리트의 역학적 특성 및 동결융해 저항성)

  • Recycled aggregate concrete has lower strength and durability compared to concrete with natural aggregate. Therefore, metakaolin is used to improve the properties of recycled aggregate concrete. Main components of metakaolin are $SiO_2$ and $Al_2O_3$. and specific surface area is 9 times larger than that of ordinary portland cement. Quality of demolished-recycled aggregate(DRA) satisfies the type 1 of KS F 2573, but quality of source-recycled aggregate(SRA) does not satisfy with the type 2 of KS F 2573. When metakaolin was replaced with 20% of cement, compressive strength of concrete with SRA and DRA develops about 40~64% of control concrete. Water absorption ratio was reduced about 2% by replacing 20% metakaolin and it represents low compared to the natural aggregate concrete without metakaolin. In addition, the resistance to freezing and thawing, of concrete with DRA is indicated to remarkably enhanced due to the contribution of metakaolin. However, when metakaolin is replaced with 20% of cement, relative dynamic modulus of elasticity of concrete with SRA was below 60% at 210 freezing and thawing cycles.

Generalizability Analysis of Teaching Aptitude and Personality Test for Pre-service Engineering Teachers in a Graduate School of Education (교육대학원 예비공학교사의 교직 적성·인성 검사에서 일반화가능도 분석)

  • This study examined the fairness of the teaching aptitude and personality test assigned to pre-service engineering teachers in a graduate school of education based on measurement traits. For this study, we analyzed the teaching aptitude and personality test scores of 99 students enrolled in engineering education in a graduate school of education located in the Seoul metropolitan area from 2013 to 2017. The main results were as follows. First, the estimated variance due to residual was generally the highest, followed by nesting of items within domains, pre-service engineering teachers, interactions of pre-service engineering teachers with domains, domains, and occasions. Second, dependability coefficients were better indicators than Cronbach's because the latter may have been overestimated by applying the traditional reliability coefficient in inappropriate manners. Third, the teaching aptitude and personality test can be applied to pre-service engineering teachers in a graduate school of education based on empirical evidence considering dependability coefficients. Fourth, a total of 96 items from the original 210 items, with 2 occasions and 12 domains containing 8 items in each domain, were optimal measurement conditions to reach adequate degrees of reliability based on the total number of items. Finally, the results were discussed, the study limitations described and future research directions proposed.

Experimental Study on the Elastic Constants of A Transversely Isotropic Rock by Multi-Specimen Compression Tests Report 2 - Statistical Evaluation and Determination of True Values of Elastic Constants (다중시험편 시험에 의한 평면이방성 암석의 탄성상수 분석연구 제 2 보 - 자료의 통계적 평가와 참값의 결정)

  • Multi-specimen uniaxial compression test has been carried out in order to find the method to determine the five independent elastic constants from a single standard specimen of a transversely isotropic rock. Total 35 specimens of 7 different angles from a large block of rhyolite presenting the flow structure obviously are used in tests. This second report is to focus on the statistical evaluation of measured strains and analyzed elastic constants. And the determination of their true or near-true values is discussed. As the result of RSD analysis, it turns out that the reliability of measured strains is sufficiently obtained and Saint-Venant approximation is well applicable except 15 degree angled specimen in tests. RSD is decreasing on the increase of the angle of anisotropy. This tendency may be caused not only by the decreasing of the deviation of measured strains, but also by the better applicability of Saint-Venant approximation on the increase of angle. It can be concluded that the analyzed values are considered the near-true ones of five independent constants on the high reliability. But the variation of the apparent Young's modulus expected by these values is not proved to match the measured tendency. It is inferred that the factor to decrease the apparent Young's modulus and/or to increase the shear strain, is present in the test or in the nature of the anisotropy in consideration of this inconsistency.

Development of Continuous Indirect Connectivity Model for Evaluation of Hub Operations at Airport (공항의 허브화 평가를 위한 연속연결성지수모형 개발)

  • The deregulation of aviation markets in Europe and the United Sates had led airlines to reconfigure their networks into hub-and-spoke systems. Recent trends of "Open Skies" in the Asian aviation market are also expected to prompt the reformation of airlines' networks in the region. A significant connectivity index is a crucial tool for airlines and airport authorities to estimate the degree of hub-and-spoke operations. Therefore, this paper suggests a new index, Continuous Indirect Connectivity Index (CICI), for measuring the coordination of airlines' flight schedules, applying it to the Asian, European and the American aviation markets. CICI consists of three components:(i) temporal connectivity to identify the attractiveness between connection flights, (ii) spatial connectivity to differentiate the attractiveness by de-routing distance with continuous linear function, and (iii) relative intensity to reflect the effect of direct flight frequency on transfer routes. CICI is evaluated to examine a casual relationship through regression analyses with two dependent variables of the number of transfer passengers and transfer rates. Compared with Danesi's index and Doganis' index through evaluation processes, CICI has a higher coefficient value of determination, implying that it explains the relationship between connectivity and transfer passengers more precisely.

  • The reasonable prediction of time-dependent deformation of prestressed concrete(PSC) box girder bridges is very important for accurate construction as well as good serviceability. The long-term behavior is mostly influenced by the probabilistic characteristic of creep and shrinkage. This paper presents a method of statistical analysis and sensitivity analysis of creep and shrinkage effects in PSC box been taken into account - model uncertainty, parameter variation and environmental condition. The statistical and sensitivity analyses are performed by using the numerical simulation of Latin Hypercube sampling. For each sample, the time-dependent structural analysis is performed to produce response data, which are then statistically analyzed. The probabilistic prediction of the confidence limits on long-term effects of creep and shrinkage is then expressed. Three measure are examined to quantify the sensitivity of the outputs of each of the input variables. These are rank correlation coefficient(RCC), partical rank correlation coefficient(PRCC) and standardiozed rank regression coefficient(SRRC) computed on the ranks of the observations. Three creep and shrinkage models - i. e., ACI model. CEB-FIP model and the model in Korea Highway Bridge Specification - are studied. The creep model uncertainy factor and the relative humidity appear to be the most dominant factors with regard to the model output uncertainty.

The Effects of Past Success on Performance: The Mediating Role of Self-Efficacy, Burnout, and Engagement (과거성공이 성과에 미치는 영향 : 자아효능감, 소진, 몰입의 매개역할을 중심으로)

  • Traditionally, self-efficacy, burnout and engagement are defined as work related states of mind, and formally speaking, students are not employees. But, we assume that from a psychological perspective, student core activities can be considered work. Therefore, based on SCT(social cognitive theory), we examine the mediating role of self-efficacy in the prediction of student burnout and engagement, and also the mediation of burnout and engagement between self-efficacy and performance(GPA). There is no research to date wether there would be mediating role of these variables between past success and performance. These effects were analysed in the context of mediating role of the variables in a university in a sample of 438 students. This study utilized a convenience sample drawn from various major scholar area. Results of structural equation modeling analyses were consist with a full mediation model in which academic past success predicts self-efficacy, which in turn, predicts student burnout and engagement. Also our proposed model showed that burnout and engagement are partial or full mediating variables between self-efficacy and performance. Our study's findings provide evidence that engagement fully accounted for the relationship between self-efficacy and performance, and burnout partially explained the relationships. These findings aligns with the general theorizing supported by JD-R model and SCT(social cognitive theory). More specifically, it builds on the JD-R literature as it tests one of the proposed mechanisms in the relationship between job resources and work engagement. Implications of study are discussed, together with limitations and suggestions for future research.

  • 정보통신 시스템의 고속/고밀도화 요구에 따라 개발되고 있는 ATM(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) 교환기 시스템은 팬을 이용한 강제대류냉각 방식의 채택과 시스템이 설치되는 장소에 따른 여러 환경조건에 의한 진동 문제가 발생될 수 있다. 시스템의 진동으로 인한 피해중 커넥터 접촉부에서 전기적 특성의 변화는 고속으로 전송되는 신호의 왜곡을 유발시킬 수 있어 시스템 개발시 이에 대한 충분한 연구 및 시험이 요구되고 있다. 진동환경에서 커넥터 접촉부는 접촉면의 상대운동으로 인한 접촉저항의 증가와 순간적인 신호전달 중단을 가져오게 되며, 특히 PCB/Connector Assembly에서 커넥터 접촉부는 PCB(Printed Circuit Board)의 장착 조건 및 동적 거동에 따라 전기적 특성이 변할 수 있다. 시스템에서 커넥터의 동적 거동을 이해하기 위해서는 PCB를 포함하는 시스템내 여러 요소의 동적 특성 이해와 복잡한 해석과정이 요구되며, 시스템 개발자는 진동 환경에서 이것의 시험 결과에 따라 커넥터의 사용을 결정해야 할 것이다. 커넥터의 전기적 특성 시험법은 IEC, EIA드 여러 국제 규격에 제시되어 있으며, 본 연구의 대상이 된 ATM교환기 시스템에서 PCB/Connector Assembly의 진동환경에서 접촉저항 측정과 관련된 접촉저항 임계치 및 측정법은 IEEE 규격 및 Bellcore 규격에 규정되어 있다. Bellcore에는 주어진 진동시험주기 전후에 IEC 규격의 LLCR(Low Level Contact Resistance) 측정회로를 이용한 측정법이 규정되어 있고, 냉각팬 및 주위 환경진동이 가해지는 동안의 영향에 대한 시험법은 규정되어 있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 한국통신의 전자장비 운용환경시험 조건의 진동에서 ATM 교환기 시스템에 사용되는 PCB/Connector Assembly 커넥터 접촉부의 접촉저항 변화와 PCB 진동에 의한 영향을 시험하였다.proach)등이 제시되었고 평면파 영역에 한하여 해서되어져 왔다. 본 논문에서는 분할 접근 방법(Segmentation Approach)을 이용하여 다공 요소로 이루어진 소음기를 해석하는데 적용하였다.로 성능 및 안정도에 영향을 미치므로 주의 깊게 선정해야 한다. 방법의 실질적인 적용에는 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 방법들의 단점을 극복할 수 있는 새로운 회귀적 모우드 변수 규명 방법을 개발하였다. 이는 Fassois와 Lee가 ARMAX모델의 계수를 효율적으로 추정하기 위하여 개발한 뱉치방법인 Suboptimum Maximum Likelihood 방법[5]를 기초로 하여 개발하였다. 개발된 방법의 장점은 응답 신호에 유색잡음이 존재하여도 모우드 변수들을 항상 정확하게 구할 수 있으며, 또한 알고리즘의 안정성이 보장된 것이다.. 여기서는 실험실 수준의 평 판모델을 제작하고 실제 현장에서 이루어질 수 있는 진동제어 구조물에 대 한 동적실험 및 FRS를 수행하는 과정과 동일하게 따름으로써 실제 발생할 수 있는 오차나 error를 실험실내의 차원에서 파악하여 진동원을 있는 구조 물에 대한 진동제어기술을 보유하고자 한다. 이용한 해마의 부피측정은 해마경화증 환자의 진단에 있어 육안적인 MR 진단이 어려운 제한된 경우에만 실제적 도움을 줄 수 있는 보조적인 방법으로 생각된다.ofile whereas relaxivity at high field is not affected by τS. 원자력分野 에서의 破壞力學 現況 -법적 요구사항을 중심으로 (II)-

  • 원자력발전소의 원자로냉각재 압력경계의 건전성과 안정성을 확보하기 위하여 법적 요구조건을 설정함에 있어 파괴역학이 어떻게 적용되었는 가를 설명하였다. 이를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 압력경계에 사용되는 재료의 $RT_{NDT}$를 정의하였다. 이는 무연성천이온도와 같은 개 념의 것으로, 앞으로 재료의 파괴인성은 이 $RT_{NDT}$에 대한 상대온도의 함수로 주어진다. 2)비연성파괴를 방지하기 위한 설계조건으로서 선형탄성 파괴역학에 근거한 조건식을 인용하였다. 여기서 조건식이란 능력확대계수의 합계가 어떠한 조건에서도 이러한 조건식을 만족한다는 것을 해석적으로 확인하고 규제당국의 승인을 받아야 한다. 3) 가동중검사에 발견된 결함으로 합격수준을 초과하는 것은 파괴역학적으로 해석하여 구조적 으로 안전하다는 것은 파괴역학적으로 해석하여 구조적으로 안전하다는 것을 입증하여야 한다. 이때 결함은 원자로의 가동과 더불어 성장하므로 수명기간중 피로파괴에 이를 것인지의 여부도 평가하여야 한다. 이때의 대조균열성장률은 Paris의 power law에 따른다. 4) 고속중성자 (E>1. 0MeV)에 의한 조사취화를 감시하기 위하여 감시시험계획을 사전에 수립 하고 이에 따라 감시시험을 수행하여 조사에 수립하고 이에 따라 감시시험을 수행하여 조사에 의한 원자로용기 재료의 파괴인성의 저하를 평가하여 이를 고려한 충분한 안전여유를 갖는 운 전조건 즉, 압력-온도 한계곡선을 산출하여야 한다. 이때의 취화 정도는 DELTA. $RT_{NDT}$ 와 Upper Shelf Energy의 감소로 나타낸다. 또한, 압력-온도 한계곡선은 선형관성 파괴역학에 입각한 조건식을 이용하여 해당 온도에서의 압력을 산출한다. System을 개발 사용하기 위하여 기존 전자계산소를 이용하는 방법이 바람직하며 System의 도입은 자체운영을 결정하기 전에 경제적인 여건 등 여러가지 문제를 검토하여야 한다. 특히 Turn Key Base로 System를 도입할 경우에는 System의 도입목 적과 사용빈도, 앞으로의 확장성 현재 설계및 생산 과정과의 마찰가능성, 유지보수문제 등을 신 중히 검토하여야 한다. 이제 기계공업도 전자계산기를 이해하고 사용하므로 서 발전할 수 있는 단계가 되었다. 예로부터 좋은 공구를 개발하여 적절히 사용하는 것이 기계공업 발전의 첩경이 었다. 전자계산기는 현대 기술이 개발한 가장 강력하고 사용하기 좋은 공구이다.점에서 피로구열의 안정성장을 논하고, 과거 10여년간의 피로 crack문제에 대한 연구방법, 실험방법 등을 소개하는 방향으로 고 를 진행시켜 나가겠다.에 그 효과가 증대됨을 알 수 있었다.적용한 임상실험이 수행되어야 할 것이다. 또한 위치결정에서 획득한 좌표값의 정확성을 알아보기 위해서 팬톰을 이용한 방사선조사 실험이 추후에 실행되어져야 할 것이다. 그리고 제작된 프레임에 Rotating X선 시스템과 내부 장기의 움직임을 계량화하고 PTV에서의 최적 여유폭을 설정함으로써 정위 방사선수술 및 3 차원 업체 방사선치료에 대한 병소 위치측정과 환자의 자세에 대한 setup 오차측정 결정에 도움이 될 수 있을 것이라고 사료된다. 상대적으로 우수한 것으로 나타났으며, 혼합충전재는 암모니아의 경우 코코넛과 펄라이트의 비율이 7:3인 혼합 재료 3번과 소나무수피와 펄라이트의 비율이 7:3인 혼합 재료 6번에서 다른 혼합 재료에 비하여 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 4. 코코넛과 소나무수피의 경우 암모니아 가스에 대한 흡착 능력은 거의 비슷한 것으로 사료되며,

Development of Trip Generation Type Models toward Traffic Zone Characteristics (Zone특성 분할을 통한 유형별 통행발생 모형개발)

  • Trip generation is the first step in the conventional four-step model and has great effects on overall demand forecasting, so accuracy really matters at this stage. A linear regression model is widely used as a current trip generation model for such plans as urban transportation and SOC facilities, assuming that the relationship between each socio-economic index and trip generation stays linear. But when rapid urban development or an urban planning structure has changed, socio-economic index data for trip estimation may be lacking to bring many errors in estimated trip. Hence, instead of assuming that a socio-economic index widely used for a general purpose, this study aims to develop a new trip generation model by type based on the market separation for the variables to reflect the characteristics of various zones. The study considered the various characteristics (land use, socio-economic) of zones to enhance the forecasting accuracy of a trip generation model, the first-step in forecasting transportation demands. For a market separation methodology to improve forecasting accuracy, data mining (CART) on the basis of trip generation was used along with a regression analysis. Findings of the study indicated as follows : First, the analysis of zone characteristics using the CART analysis showed that trip production was under the influence of socio-economic factors (men-women relative proportion, age group (22 to 29)), while trip attraction was affected by land use factors (the relative proportion of business facilities) and the socio-economic factor (the relative proportion of third industry workers). Second, model development by type showed as a result that trip generation coefficients revealed 0.977 to 0.987 (trip/person) for "production" 0.692 to 3.256 (trip/person) for "attraction", which brought the necessity for type classifications. Third, a measured verification was conducted, where "production" and "attraction" showed a higher suitability than the existing model. The trip generation model by type developed in this study, therefore, turned out to be superior to the existing one.
