A Study on IEEE 802.15.4 for wireless Communication of Data in the Factory Automation System (공장자동화시스템에서 데이터 송수신의 무선화를 위한 IEEE 802.15.4에 관한 연구)

  • Now, the production process systems are largely based on automatic system using the wired network. The production process systems using wired network has disadvantage that it is expensive when the installed and replaced equipment. The each equipment happens to repair cost for control and management in production processes. And the replaced equipment has also the additional expense and breaks production process. These problems are solved through wireless communication between the industrial equipments. So, we propose wireless production process system based on IEEE 802.15.4 technology. It solves a complicated space and stops by replaced equipment in the factory. Then we simulated and analyzed IEEE 802.15.4 for Industrial Equipment based on Wireless Network.

  • The relational data model can't be applied to CAD/CAM, CE, and CIM since it can't support the semantic model concept such as complex object, random data definition, manipulation, version control, generalization, aggregation and so on. In this paper, the IPCS(Integrated Production Control System) for hand-rail of ship is parted into several module according to process function. further more, the object oriented data model is designed with UML(Unified Modeling Language). UML is the object oriented design methodology of industrial standard that combines the Booch's methodology, the Rumbaugh's On(Object Modeling Technique), and the Jacobson's OOSE(Object-Oriented Software Engineering) methodology. The efficient management is expected with object-oriented data model construction, since this developed system can achieve efficient process control, system maintenance, repair and extension.

  • Recently, the USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technology is emerging as an aspect of digital convergence trends which is being rapidly evolving in the whole society. The technological feasibility for the various application services using the USN is researched in numerous industries, but, in the agricultural field, the market of USN application service, technology adoption and commercialization have been delayed. In the agricultural field, the ubiquitous technologies could lead to huge change in the conventional surroundings such as growth environment of livestock, crop cultivation and harvest. In this paper, to offer a integrated management, we construct a u-swinery(ubiquitous swinery) system which is consisted with USN environmental sensors to collect information from physical phenomenon such as luminance, relative humidity, temperature and ammonia gas. Numbers of CCTV were also installed to monitor inside and outside of the swinery. The u-swinery integrated management system can monitor and control the condition of swinery from remote sites. Furthermore, by gathering the cumulative environmental data from the system, the optimal growth condition for the livestock could be created.

The Tool Coordinate Adjustment Algorithm for Robot Manipulators with Visual Sensor (시각 센서에 의한 로봇 매니퓰레이터의 툴 좌표계 보정에 관한 연구)

  • Recently many robot manipulators are used for various areas of industriesand factories. It has been frequently observed that the robot manipulator fails to complete the function when the object changes its original position, Due to the unexpected impacts and vibrations the center and direction of the object would be shifted in many real application. In this study, a visual sensing algorithm for the robot manipulator is proposed. The algorithm consists of two parts : Detection of the object migration and adjustments of the orobot manipulators Tool Coordinate System. The image filtering technique with visual sensor is applied for the first part of the algorithm. The change of illumination intensity indicates the object migration. Once the object migration is detected, the second part of the algorithm calculates the current position of the object. Then it adjusts the robot manipulators Tool Coordinate System. The robot manipulator and the Visual sensor communicate each other using interrupt technique via proposed algorithm. It has been observed that the proposed algorithm reduces the malfunction of a robot manipulator significantly. Thus it can provide better line balance-up of the manufacturing processes and prevent industrial accidents efficiently.

  • Nowadays, most people have been using a bicycle as a transportation or exercise. The bicycle is so indispensable to the public means of transportation. The demand of the bicycle is increasing since one is becoming advancement more and more. We propose a smart bicycle that can controls the individual parts of the bicycle by smart phone. This paper verifies and validates the problem and the advanced direction after confirming the smart phone's public bicycle to learn about market trends and the analysis of future prospects. Based on the analyzed contents of the problem and improving the direction, we implement public bicycle system with smart bicycle. The implementation of the proposed method shows the available and the effective system with the promote public health by cycling and contributing to the domestic bicycle industry.

  • Recently, as research on smart farms has been actively conducted, indoor environment control, such as a green house, has reached a high level. However, In the field of forestry where cultivation is carried out in outdoor, the use of ICT is still insufficient. In this paper, we propose LPWA-based forest growth environment collection and big data analysis system using ICT technology. The proposed system collects and transmits the field cultivation environment data to the server using small solar power generation and LPWA technology based on the oneM2M architecture. The transmitted data is constructed as big data on the server and utilizes it to predict the production and quality of forest products. The proposed system is expected to contribute to the production of low-cost, high-quality crops through the fusion of renewable energy and smart farms. In addition, it can be applied to other industrial fields that utilize the oneM2M architecture and monitoring the growth environment of agricultural crops in the field.

  • This paper aims to identify and clarify the cyber security risks and their interaction with the power system in Smart Grid. The EMS and other communication networks interact with the power system on a real time basis, so it is important to understand the interaction between two layers to protect the power system from potential cyber threats. In this study, the optimal power flow(OPF) and Power Flow Tracing are used to assess the interaction between the EMS and the power system. Through OPF and Power Flow Tracing based analysis, the physical and economic impacts from potential cyber threats are assessed, and thereby the quantitative risks are measured in a monetary unit.

  • The use of the Internet of things plays a major role in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and a series of tasks of accumulating, converging, analyzing and reusing various data and services becomes very important. Because the pace and scope if the paradigm shift in Fourth Industrial Revolution is so rapid and unpredictable, the development and utilization of a system to fulfill this role for IOT are urgently required. In this paper, we introduce the Web-based IOT management system, which connects the IOT with OKMindmap, which is a domestic open source software and service, and the Node-RED service. This system combines the advantages of OKMindmap with the advantages of Node-RED, which is capable of visual component based programming, so that it can easily and flexibly connect the IOT based on Web browsers, and various data and services can be integrated and linked. We developed a camera module, a temperature and humidity sensor module, and the motor control module in Raspberry PI basically, and tested the operation successfully. We plan to extend the IOT component gradually by using Arduino and System On Chip.

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is a major technology that develops smart ships into autonomous ships in the marine industry. Autonomous ships recognize a situation with the information collected without human judgment which allow them to operate on their own. Existing ship systems, like control systems on land, are not designed for security against cyberattacks. As a result, there are infringements on numerous data collected inside and outside the ship and potential cyber threats to AI technology to be applied to the ship. For the safety of autonomous ships, it is necessary to focus not only on the cybersecurity of the ship system, but also on the cybersecurity of AI technology. In this paper, we analyzed potential cyber threats that could arise in AI technologies to be applied to existing ship systems and autonomous ships, and derived categories that require security risks and the security of autonomous ships. Based on the derived results, it presents future directions for cybersecurity research on autonomous ships and contributes to improving cybersecurity.

  • This paper deal with the advanced thchnology of water supply line breakege detection system in singsan green city. the technology apply for construction eco oriented high-tech city to merge residant, industial, tour reasure parts for songsan green city furture direction achivement and response for a life style change of people in the city. Breakege detection system consist of smart prevention seat, pipeline breakege detection sensor, analysis software, server. etc.. Central control unit sent the data to hwa sung city water supply office by WCDMA in SKY. the data are states about water supply pipeline, Location.etc. This system maintain the long term life cycle of water supply plpeline by the prevention the leakege event through ackonwledge information of evnet occurrence locaion. and used to realtime sense method about demage information of the pipeline and prevent to brekege facilities during excavation work.
