An analysis of the frequency and correlation of voluntary questioning of children in robot play - Focus on the elements of STEAM - (로봇놀이에서 나타난 유아들의 자발적 질문 빈도 및 상관관계 분석 -STEAM 요소를 중심으로-)

  • Our society, which has arrived in the 4th industrial revolution, emphasizes covergence education to cultivate creative convergence talents. Therefore, this study is to develop a convergence education program consistent with the direction of the 2019 revised Nuri course and to help teachers who want to implement convergence education. In order to achieve this purpose, in this study, voluntary questions that occurred in play using the educational robot 'Turtle' were classified as STEAM elements. After that, frequency analysis and correlation analysis were conducted. Therefore, this study is meaningful in collecting children's questions about the same robot by age, and it is valuable in establishing future convergence education directions by analyzing the correlation by STEAM elements.

  • 현재 우리나라는 1995년 국민소득 1만불 진입 이후 8년간 1만불 장벽을 넘지 못하고 있으며 그 동안 국가 성장동력의 바탕을 이룩해 온 기간산업 경쟁력의 둔화와 선진국과의 기술격차는 줄어들지 않는 한편 중국 등 후발국가의 추격이 거세지고 있는 상황에 있다. 이에 따라 내부적으로 미래에 대한 확고한 비젼 부재상태를 극복함과 동시에 1인당 국민소득 2만불 대의 선진경제로의 도약을 위한 "새로운 성장동력의 창출"이란 국가적 명제를 안게 되었다. 정부는 이를 위해 2003년 5월 말 주력 기간산업, 미래 유망사업, 지식기반 서비스산업 등 3개 분야에서 총 60개의 차세대 성장품목을 발굴하고 산업군별로 종합적인 발전전략을 수립하였으며 이 중 조선$.$해양산업은 주력 기간 산업군에서 고부가가치 선박, 디지털기반 조선컨텐츠, 해양부체 강구조물의 3개 항목이 이에 포함되었다. 이후 10대 차세대 성장동력 산업(표 1) 선정과정에서 조선$.$해양산업이 이에 명시적 포함되지는 않았으나 지능형 로봇분야와 e-Biz/지능형 물류에 부분적으로 연계되어 있고 산자부에서는 조선$.$해양산업을 포함한 10개 주력 기간산업별 기획단을 구성하여 차세대 성장동력 기획단과 함께 연구기획을 통하여 산업기술혁신 5개년 계획에 반영하는 것으로 알려져 있다[1].   • This study analyzed technology application field and technology transfer type related to the 4th industrial revolution using frequency, visualization, and association analysis of text mining of Big Data. The analysis was conducted between the last three years (2015 - 2017) registered with the NTB of KIAT transfer technology database was utilized. As a result of analysis, First, First, transfer technologies called core technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution are a lot of about robots, 3D, autonomous driving, and wearables. Second, as the year go by, transfer technolgy registration such as IoT, Cloud, VR is increasing. Third, the results of the association analysis of technology transfer type are as follows. IoT and VR showed preference for technology trading and licensing, autonomous driving technology trading, wearable licensing, robots preferring technology cooperation, licensing, and technology trading.

  • With the development of technology, there has been a considerable increase in the number of skyscrapers in the world. Accordingly, there are increasing requirements with regard to maintenance, such as cleaning, painting, and inspection. However, it is extremely dangerous to work on the walls of buildings, and falls from buildings have accounted for a large proportion of construction accidents. In particular, as the number of buildings with irregular shapes increases, the accident rate during maintenance work has increased each year, with most accidents leading to deaths. An alternative solution must be developed with the commercialization of automatic systems. In this study, fundamental research has been conducted for drafting and commercializing an automation tool with a built-in guide system that can perform cleaning.

  • In the era of the 3rd Offset Strategy led by the 4th Industrial Revolution, the use of robots with AI and autonomous abilities is becoming more active in military field. The 3rd Offset Strategy is based on the technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution, and S. Korea is heavily dependent on US military technology and is directly and indirectly influenced by the military revolutionary strategy and the alliance relationship. There are many issues that need to be addressed beyond technical maturity for both strategies to be successfully applied in the military. However, there are few discussions about these limitations in many studies and media reports in comparison with the advantages of the techniques. This research describes robot ethics & technology unbalance, problems of autonomous functions, display fatigue induced by VR/AR/MR, cyber/network security to be solved for successful strategies, also the solutions are addressed.

  • This study proposed a new approach to develop an Intelligent control algorithm for cooperative working of human and robot based on voice recognition. In general case of speaker verification, Gaussian Mixture Model is used to model the feature vectors of reference speech signals. On the other hand, Dynamic Time Warping based template matching techniques were presented for the voice recognition about several years ago. We converge these two different concepts in a single method and then implement in a real time voice recognition enough to make reference model to satisfy 95% of recognition performance. In this paper it was illustrated the reliability of voice recognition by simulation and experiments for humanoid robot with 18 joints.

  • A remote image transmission apparatus combines robot technology and image transmission there is safe problem or place that a person can not go. Recently, control apparatus that use wire and RF between web server and robot for remote control are developed. But there is problem that must install internet line and communication distance. Transmission distance problem call solve when using the equipment of RF, but price of RF router is problem that is very high cost. In this paper, we developed remote control system using the CDMA cellular phone communication network that can control image transmission and image transmission apparatus to solve these problem. Developed system could solve defects of methods that use existent RF and internet. And could transmit the most suitable image and voice under limited condition include current communication network.

  • This paper describes the design of the force measuring system for an industrial robot's deburring work. The force measuring system is composed of a three-axis force sensor, a measuring device, a housing and a cover. The three-axis force sensor can detect x-direction force, y-direction force and z-direction force at the same time. The measuring device is designed using DSP(Digital Signal Processor), and have a RS-232 and a RS-485 communication port for sending force data to PC or other controller. As a result of test, the repeatability error and the non-lineality error of the three-axis force sensor are less than 0.03%, and the interference error of the sensor is less than 0.95%. It is thought that the force measuring system can be used for an industrial robot's deburring work.

  • This paper presents implementation details of home appliance control system using personal communicator based on LN2440 single board computer, which recognizes hand-gesture of user, controls remote moving device such as mobile home server, robot etc. through delivery of proper control commands. Also, this paper includes details of design and implementation of home gateway and mobile home server. The implemented prototype can be utilized to develop various remote control system including a remote exploration robot, intelligent wheelchair based on general purpose embedded system.

  • This study proposed a new technique to control of mobile robot based on voice command for (Human-Robot Cooperative operation in manufacturing precess). High performance voice recognition and control system was designed In this paper for smart factory. robust voice recognition is essential for a robot to communicate with people. One of the main problems with voice recognition robots is that robots inevitably effects real environment including with noises. The noise is captured with strong power by the microphones, because the noise sources are closed to the microphones. The signal-to-noise ratio of input voice becomes quite low. However, it is possible to estimate the noise by using information on the robot's own motions and postures, because a type of motion/gesture produces almost the same pattern of noise every time it is performed. In this paper, we describe an robust voice recognition system which can robustly recognize voice by adults and students in noisy environments. It is illustrated by experiments the voice recognition performance of mobile robot placed in a real noisy environment.
