The purpose of this study is to determine social values of self-support enterprises, known as the origin of social economy by using a qualitative research method. Main themes representing social values of self-support enterprises were developed through four sessions of FGI and thematic analysis. First, self-support enterprises embody the value of 'social safety net' by providing workfare for disadvantaged people as well as by operating market-oriented business. Additionally, 'communal spirit', for which self-support enterprises strive, is social value that enables the entirety of self-support enterprises and participants to fulfill non-profit values, reciprocity, and sharing. Lastly, ontological, diachronic, and ecological 'sustainability' of self-support enterprises is a foundational element which creates continuous positive impact on our society. Findings of this study are significant to provide theoretical and empirical evidence for preservation and development of the social economy ecosystem. Based on this, further researches on comprehensive social economy are suggested.

Social enterprises are companies that provide jobs to the vulnerable and provide social services. However, sustainable management of social enterprises is very difficult in a rapidly changing market environment. Therefore, for the sustainable management of social enterprise, it is assumed that the duty efficiency of the members of the social enterprise is most important in the limited resource environment, and that the social entrepreneur can increase the efficiency of the work by giving delegation to the members. Therefore, this study investigates how social entrepreneurs influence on the job efficiency of members when giving psychological empowerment to members of social enterprise based on social entrepreneurship. When giving empowerment leadership to members, And it has a significant effect on job efficiency.

Since the 1997 financial crisis, large scale unemployment and poverty have become serious, and public and social job creation projects have been carried out. However, with the limitations of low-wage and short-term jobs, the need for long-term and high quality jobs gradually began to attract attention. In recent years, social enterprises have grown both quantitatively and qualitatively and interest in social enterprises has increased. And also it is interested in the determinants of success and failure of social enterprises in the academic field. In this study, we examined the effects of social enterprise characteristics on financial and social performance, and we analyzed empirically by using social enterprises registered in the Korea Social Enterprise Agency. The financial performance of the social enterprise is measured by the net income ratio, operating income ratio, and the return on asset. The social performance of the social enterprise is measured by total number of workers and the employment rate of the vulnerable social groups. The characteristics of the social enterprise include the CEO characteristics (gender, age, experience in operating the social enterprise), the firm size, and the elapsed time of the authentication. The results of the empirical analysis are as follows. First, as a result of analysis for the effect on financial performance, we found that the financial performance have a statistically significant positive relationship with firm size, organizational form, government subsidies and capital adequacy ratio. And it is found that the social performance have a statistically significant negative relationship with CEO age, credit debt dependence. Second, as a result of analysis for the effect on social performance, we foumd that total number of workers have a significant positive relationships with CEO gender, CEO age, and firm size, government subsidies, while total number of workers have a significant negative relationship with certification type and industry dummy. On the other hand, the employment rate of the vulnerable social groups have a siginificant positive relationship with CEO gender and certification type and It have not statistically significant relationship with the government subsidies and the firm size.

The libraries and social welfare centers carry out various programs for the information poor. The libraries have focused on accessing and utilizing information, while social welfare centers have centered on improving the quality of life. This study have investigated as follows. Firstly, this study examined the cooperation model between libraries and social welfare centers or librarians and social workers in public libraries in Korea and California, USA, and analyzed the international library policies and guidelines in literature review. Through the definition of terms and related concepts, we confirmed the range of the information poor in this study. Secondly, this study executed to interview librarians and social workers in Korea and USA about the way of cooperation for the information poor. These interviews have been understood the public library outreach programs in California and the program of the National Library for Children and Young Adults' Out of School Youth Reading Program (2018). Finally, this study suggested the core elements to be considered in developing a library outreach model for the information poor based on the implications derived from literature review and interviews.

Social and economic polarization such as the collapse of self-employed people and job losses are becoming social problems due to the COVICD-19 crisis, and the role of social enterprises in providing social services to vulnerable people in various business sectors is very important. Social enterprises are complaining of difficulties in sustainability due to the hybrid nature of creating social value and economic value. Support for professionals matching the business sector of social enterprises is urgently needed for sustainability, but support for professionals is very insufficient due to insufficient budget. This study studied how specialized personnel affect the sustainability of social enterprises through the medium of social enterprise characteristics, indicating that specialized personnel affect the expansion and sustainability of the corporate main business sector. Based on the above findings, practical implications of social enterprise financial support projects were presented.

The purpose of this study is to explore perceptions, knowledge, and attitudes about AIDS, and to analyze factors associated with social distance for people living with AIDS. Data was analyzed for 645 university students majoring in social work and nursing. The results show that AIDS was most frequently associated with the word sex. Secondly, participant knowledge about AIDS revealed common errors in the prevention and process of infection. Third, correlation between prejudice toward people living with AIDS and social minorities was statistically significant. Finally using hierarchical regression analysis, among factors affecting the social distance for people living with AIDS, only the prejudice toward people living with AIDS remained statistically significant. R Square of the entire model was adjusted to 0.390. In conclusion, the results of this study are expected to influence college education and program development.

According to change of business environment, the company has required not only profit but also social responsibility for profitable growth. However, these changes are not only applies to the company. Company's internal stakeholders and social systems sub-elements of the union was forced to respond to these changes, too. However, research has not focused yet USR until now, It's very rare USR and introduction of USR and Case of USR. But The union must meet a the stakeholders such as nonunionist, county, as well as union members. This study looked at the USR Case of LG Electronics Union which is a leader in this filed. LG Electronics Union had accepted the USR in 2010, LG Electronics Union led innovation and change of labor movement and pushed ahead with USR such as service to community and vulnerable, refrain from strike, environmental protection. and LG Electronics Union spread the USR to overseas and domestic. Through the LG Electronics Union's USR Case, this study seek the new labor movement.

The purpose of this study was to explore the institutional protection scheme to identify the factors influence physician turnover of social workers. The main reference comes from the 2014 research on wages and work conditions of Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs. The result of the analysis shows that 33.7% of the social workers intend to change jobs and that the possibilities of changing jobs have factors in gender, age, education levels, job satisfaction, wage, and contractual factors. This result shows that in order to enhance support of underprivileged, the treatment of social workers needs to be improved. This research proposes settings of switching job position system through facility M&A and institutional development.

This study analyzed the effectiveness of visiting reading programs for vulnerable children, focusing on the case of libraries in A-si, Gyeonggi-do. Library A utilized a visiting teacher to deliver books that matched the children's levels and interests through non-face-to-face interactions, or to engage in face-to-face reading sessions and deliver books together. In 2022, a total of 158 individuals from 103 families participated in the program, with 103 individuals from 67 families delivering books and 55 individuals from 36 families engaging in book reading activities. Pre- and post-project surveys were conducted to assess the reading effects, and interviews were conducted with the visiting teachers. The analysis revealed that the level and interest of the children during book delivery and reading sessions were identified, and the effects of reading books with high levels of interaction were significant. Infants who were able to easily acquire reading experiences according to their age exhibited better reading effects compared to elementary school students. The program aimed at the new participant group showed slightly greater effectiveness than the group of continuing participants. Furthermore, following the implementation of the program, improvements were observed in reading interest, reading attitude, reading environment, reading interaction, self-esteem, social skills, language ability, reading proficiency, self-directed learning ability, and library utilization rate.
