  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the structural causal relationship between adult learners' participation in lifelong learning, education program satisfaction, and social capital. Also, the study reviews how education program satisfaction variables mediate the relationship between adult learners' participatory motivation and social capital. Subjects included 425 adult learners who participated in lifelong education, and the research hypothesis was verified through structure equation modeling analysis. Results are as follows: First, adult learners' participatory motivation had a positive (+) effect on social capital and education program satisfaction. Secondly, education program satisfaction had a positive (+) effect on social capital. Thirdly, education program satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between adult learners' participatory motivation and social capital and showed a significant indirect effect. This study suggests that it is necessary to develop various programs that can satisfy learners as well as improve social capital, participation motivation, and satisfaction of programs provided by lifelong educational institutions. Based on these results, this study suggests not only the role of lifelong education institutes, but also ways to improve social capital of adult learners within the lifelong education field.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide meaningful implications for the establishment and implementation of social welfare policies for one-person households and to investigate the structural relationship between social participation and social support of one-person householders on their quality of life. As a result of the analysis, it was found that there was a positive correlation between the three variables. The direct and indirect effects of social participation on the quality of life were significant, and the social support partially mediated the relationship between social participation and quality of life. Therefore, it will be necessary to establish a welfare policy system that can promote social support by improving the quality of life of one-person households by providing concrete and diverse ways to activate social participation. Subsequent researches should be dealt with a more in - depth qualitative research on the concrete realization of this.

For the analysis 420 single mothers, who had participated various types of communities, were surveyed and structural equation modeling had been used and optical theory structure model(χ2=86.851, df=28, GFI=.958, CFI=.944), which explains the structural relationship among the factors, had been chosen. From the result, first, there was differences between empowerment and community participation levels, which is single mothers' community participation factors, of the impact on social capital and empowerment. • This study examined the relationship between social support, social participation and physical functioning among older adults in community senior centers. The subjects of this study were 194 persons aged 60 years or older who participated in the senior center in K province and D city, from June 16 to June 30, 2016. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, T-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and structural model analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0 and IBM AMOS 21.0. The result showed that the social support and physical functioning of the elderly in the community were above normal, and social participation was somewhat low. Interestingly, an analysis of the physical functioning between social support, social participation and depression revealed significant correlations. The factors affecting the physical health were 23.4% of the respondents who had a significant influence on social support and leisure activities. In addition, the result of structural model analysis showed that social support had a significant influence on the social participation, depression and physical functioning. Therefore, the results suggests that the development of educational programs and an age-friendly environment should be actively provided to older adults in the community by strengthening the physical function through social support for active ageing.

  • The technological risk has two major aspects. The one is technological aspect of the risk which consists of rules of nature and rational behaviors of humans. The other is social aspect of risk which consists of human values and nonrational and emotional behaviors of humans. So the technological risks should be called and treated as the technological and social risks. Because of these, not only technological professionals but also public people should have the chance to participate in the management of technological risks.

  • The major characteristic of open source software (OSS) is innovativeness. Innovativeness stems from the process of sharing and solving technical problems. This study analyzes the impact of voluntary participation and collaboration of OSS developers on sustained participation in the community based on organizational citizenship behavior and social capital theories. Based on Bolino et al. (2002) and Wasko and Faraj (2005), a research model and hypotheses are developed. A total of 152 OSS developers participated in the survey. The hypotheses are tested by LISREL modeling. The results of analysis show that royalty, social participation, and advocacy participation enhance or positively influence social capital. In addition, reciprocity and shared vision reinforce intention of sustained knowledge contribution. However, the result shows a statistically insignificant relationship between social participation and shared vision and between cohesiveness and intention of sustained knowledge contribution.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of college education satisfaction on the employment preparation and social participation of young adults during the pandemic period. To accomplish this research purpose, the researcher used the panel data of Korea Youth Policy Institute and analyzed the eight variables related to college education satisfaction, employment preparation, and social participation. This study's sample consisted of a total of 2,941 individuals, and both structural equation modeling and multigroup structural equation modeling were applied for the analysis. The results revealed that college education satisfaction had a significantly positive influence on the employment preparation activities and social participation of young adults. In the multigroup structural equation modeling analysis, it was found that college education satisfaction had a significantly positive impact on employment preparation and social participation for women, while for men, it only significantly affected employment preparation. Furthermore, college education satisfaction did not show significant effects on the employment preparation and social participation of graduates from junior colleges, but it did have a significantly positive impact on the employment preparation activities of graduates from four-year colleges. Based on these research findings, policy and educational interventions to enhance the college education satisfaction of male students and graduates from junior colleges are required.
