Psychosocial Stress Levels and Related Factors in some Rural Residents (일부 농촌지역 주민에서 사회심리적 스트레스 수준과 관련요인)

  • Objectives: This study was performed to investigate the levels of psychosocial stres and to identify its Methods: The study subjects were 1,806 adults aged 40-70 years living in Naju City, Jeollanamdo. Sociodemographic characteristics, health-related behavior, social suport and personality were collected for statistical analysis. The measurement instrument of psychosocial stress was psychosocial well-being index. The regression analysis. Results: The results showed that 16.6% of subjects were categorized as high stress, 63.4% as moderate, and 20.0% as normal. Overall, the mean value of PWI was 17.29.8 and significantly diferent by socioeconomic characteristics, health-related behavior, social suport and personality. In the case of men, the income, decreased positive social suport, increased negative social suport, type A behavior pattern, decrease of internal locus of control or poorer self-esteem. In the case of women, the PWI was significantly deteriorated in the subjects with no job, no spouse, decreased positive social suport, increased negative social support, type A behavior pattern, decrease of internal locus of control or poorer self-esteem.Conclusions: The psychosocial stres for rural residents was related with social suport and personality. Thus, these results should be considered to reduce stres levels in rural adults.

The Effects of Game Play Activities on the EEG, Social Skills and the Self-control of the Children with Intellectual Disabilities in ICT era (ICT 시대에서 게임놀이활동이 학령기 지적장애아동의 뇌파와 사회적 기술, 자기 통제력에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of game play activities on EEG, social skills and self-control in the children with intellectual disabilities. Subjects with intellectual disabilties were divided by control group(n=3) and the experimental group(n=3). In a period of 6 weeks, they took game play activities for 50 minutes 2 times a week. As a result, in EEG(${\alpha}$-wave, ${\beta}$-wave), social skills and self-control before and after intervention, there were significant difference in experimental group(p<.05). And in ${\alpha}$-wave, social skills and self-control, there were significant difference in between group(p<.05). But, in ${\beta}$-wave there was no significant difference in between group(p>.05). These findings indicate that game play activities on the children with intellectual disabilities could improve EEG, social skills and self-control. Accordingly, game play activities are judged to be used for the children with intellectual disabilities to prevent problem and to intervention.

  • This study provides the theoretical basis for the self-management of a sports center based on the core competence and technology of the future. The following conclusions were obtained. First, in the influence of self-management on the future core competencies, interpersonal management, training management, and physical management, the factors of self-management have a significant influence on cognitive, affective, and social factors of future core competence. Second, in the influence of self-management on the social skill scale, interpersonal management, training management, and physical management factors of self-management have a significant influence on the self-assertion, self-control, and cooperation of the social technology scale. Third, cognitive, affective, and social factors of the future core competence have a significant influence on the self-assertion, self-control, and cooperation of the social skill scale in the influence of the future core competence on the social skill scale. To improve the self-management and social skills of leaders by maintaining good relationships with the members including fellow instructors, it is essential to take appropriate measures for self-management behaviors considering the individual characteristics and environments of leaders; it appears that effort is important.

An Analysis of Middle School Students' Resilience on Their School Adjustment (중학생의 회복탄력성과 학교적응성에 관한 실증적 인과관계 분석)

  • This study aims to draw the implication in improving middle school students' school adjustment and suggest policy methods for their school adjustment depending on the degree of social support. As a result of the research, it was found that middle school students' resilience factors such as self-control ability and interpersonal relationship ability had the influence on their impulse control, self-esteem, communication and self-expansion ability on their social competence. Emotional regulation, impulse control, self-esteem, communication and self-expansion ability had the influence on school adjustment. It was also known that middle school students' social competence had high influence on their school adjustment and their self-expansion ability had the highest influence on social competence. Middle school students' resilience factors such as emotional regulation, empathy and self-expansion ability may be different in their influence on social competence. Impulse control may be different depending on their school adjustment and a degree of social support, and social competence may be different depending on their school adjustment and a degree of social support.

Effects of Poverty Status on Socio-Emotional Development in Childhood : Focused on Comparing the Effects of Proxy Variables and Poverty-Co-Factors (빈곤지위가 아동의 사회·정서발달에 미치는 영향 :빈곤대리변수와 빈곤동반 위험요소와의 비교를 중심으로)

  • Present study investigated the effects of poverty and poverty-co-factors in childhood. The effect of poverty status was measured by needs-income ratio. It compared its effect on children's socio-emotional development with that of poverty proxy variables such as recipient of public assistance, financial stress, subjective perception about social class, residence in public housing. It also examined the effects of poverty-co-factors after poverty status were controlled. Results show that poverty status has a more consistent negative relationship with socio-emotional development than other proxy variables. However, the relationship between them disappeared after poverty-co-factors were controlled. Findings from the present study suggest that targeted efforts for decreasing poverty-co-factor risks should be made along with financial support.

  • 대부분의 건축가들에게는 규제 및 통제는 난센스라 생각되는 수가 있는데 이는 훌륭하게 설계된 건물이라 할지라도 그 건물을 법적으로 금지할 때가 종종 있기 때문이다. 건축분야에서 가장 진보된 규제 및 통제 방법은 건축기준과 지역ㆍ지구에 관한 규제(Restrictive Building Code & Zoning Ordinances)이다. 이 이외에 상식적으로 생각하더라도 여러 가지 제한을 들 수 있는데, 의뢰자의 취미, 융자조건, 여산, 재산세, 기후 및 대지조건과 기계설비의 제한요소가 있겠다. 우리는 건축 및 도시의 복잡한 미로에서, 우리의 주위 환경 속에서 인간의 목적과 희망을 달성하기 위한 규제들 중 어느 것이 최우선이어야만 되는가에 대한 통찰력을 잃어버렸다. 이런 문제들은 건축가에만 국한되지 않는다. 진정 여기에서 우리는 이 시대의 중요한 사회적, 정치적 문제점-공공권리와 개인권리의 공공책임과 개인책임의, 그리고 개인주도력과 공공주도력과의 한계에 직면하게 된다. 더구나, 이런 분야의 한계는 불명확해지며 더욱더 복잡화되며 다루기 어려워져 가고 있다. 본 장에서는 건축을 규제하는 요소들을 조사하겠다. 그리고 현 통제체제의 정신, 그 근원, 문제점, 단점, 타당성, 그리고 적용에 관하여 논해보기로 한다.

Factors Related to Psychosocial Distress and Fatigue Symptoms among Clerical Public Officers (일부 사무직 공무원의 사회심리적 스트레스와 피로수준에 관련된 요인)

  • Objectives: We evaluated the level of psychosocial stresses and fatigue symptoms among clerical public officers and its related factors.Methods: The self-administered questionaires were performed, during the period between Dec. 5th, 2005 Metropolitan City. The survey items included subjects' socio-demographic and job-related characteristics, health-related behavior, degree of job demand, job autonomy, social support in work, type A behavior pattern, locus of control, sense of self-esteem, psychosocial distress and degree of fatigue.

A Study on Parenting Competency of Mothers with Mental Illness (여성정신장애인의 양육능력에 관한 연구)

  • For women living with mental illness, motherhood may be a normalizing life experiences and offers the opportunity to develop competencies in a major life roles. So, the main premise of this study that social contexts, social support of spouse and extended family, is very important for successful parenting of mothers with mental illness. Thus this study analyzes the impact of marital relationship and social support of networks on three dimensions of parenting competency(expression of love, encouragement of independence, rational discipline) when the socioeconomic(age, number of offsprings, subjective economic level) and disability variables(diagnosis, severity of symptoms, chronicity, frequencies of psychiatric admission) are controlled. This study conducted the survey with 145 mothers with schizophrenia and mood disorder. The major finding of the study are : i) Using step-wise multiple regression, marital relationship, social supports and economic level affect significantly on the expression of love. ii) Using step-wise multiple regression, the most powerful influenced factor on encouragement of independence is marital relationship. iii) Using step-wise multiple regression, diagnosis, severity of symptoms, chronicity and economic level affect significantly on the rational discipline. That is two dimensions of parenting competency, expression of love and encouragement of independence, can be explained well by social contexts variables(marital relationship, social support, economic level). But only rational discipline can be explain well by disability factors. In conclusion, this study recommends service providers to use family based comprehensive case management for the mothers with mental illness.

The Psychosocial Adjustment of Adopted Children in Non-traditional Adoption of Korea (국내 공개입양의 입양아동의 심리사회적 적응 : 입양모의 양육행동과 입양모 - 자녀 간 의사소통을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the psychosocial adjustment level of adopted children in non-traditional adoption of Korea and to verify the variables which influence their psychosocial adjustment. Moreover, this study concentrates on the parenting style of an adoptive mother and the openness of communication between the adoptive mother and her adopted child. And, six control variables which are individual characteristics of the adopted child and his(her) adoptive mother were utilized. The participants of the this research consisted of 61 adopted children in non-traditional adoption of Korea aged six and above and their adoptive mothers of 61. Door-to-door surveys for data collection were conducted nationally from December of 2007 to February of 2008. As the results of this study, out of 6 behavior problem variables, the adopted child showed the highest points in immaturely dependence, and their social competence was verified to be good. The psychosocial adjustment of the adopted children in non-traditional adoption of Korea showed meaningful differences according to the warmhearted parenting style of the adoptive mother, the openness of adoptive mother-adoptee's communication on both general and adoption related issues, and control variables. It was also verified that the warm-heartedness and the respect for autonomy of adoptive mother's parenting style, openness of adoptive mother-adoptee's general communication, and five control variables were the important variables influencing the psychosocial adjustment of the adopted child in non-traditional adoption of Korea. Accordingly, the adoptive parents' education of parenting for adopted child should be required more professional and individual approach at the adoption practice of Korea.

  • This paper analyzed the user's presence experience and player experience in FPS according to game usage time using Steam's review data. Data was obtained through crawling using Python. In analysis result, it was confirmed that issues related to controllable physical presence and uncontrollable social presence emerged in the group with less game use time, and controllable physical presence was changed to controllable social presence in the group with more play timeFurthermore, through player experience analysis, it was found that the keyword "recoil," a factor in game play, was important.
